MATCH of the WEEK: Benoit vs. Regal (ICW “Destination Destruction”) (Incredible main event to kick off a superb debut show. Regal is victorious, but shows Benoit no respect in the aftermath. It was a true bombshell ending to ICW’s second show and “HOLY $$$$!” moment for the fans!)ICW “Colossal Collision” -- click here -- PLAY of the WEEK: Eddie Guerrero “steals” the #1 Contendership (BCCW) (In an unforeseen finish to the Main Event gauntlet match pitting Stone Cold against Money Power Respect, Eddie Guerrero wound up pilfering a Heavyweight championship opportunity from literally around the neck of the champion, Yvon Robert. With the full support of President Bowser and the fans, Eddie will go on to New Years Revolution to challenge Le Lion for the title!)BCCW TV #57 (Finger of God) -- click here --WRESTLER of the WEEK: Jake “the Snake” Roberts (WWE Champion) (Another successful title defense for the Snake, this time over “Wildfire” Tommy Rich. Now a rematch looms at “New Years Revolution 2015”, but first the leaders of those two factions went head-to-head in a Fight Night Main Event. It may have ended in a Double DQ, but nobody was disappointed as this battle promises to continue raging)BCCW Fight Night (Wyatt vs. Koloff) -- click here --WOMAN of the WEEK: “Big Event” Trish Stratus (AGPW Woman’s Champion)

With all the paid promotional consideration from BCCW on this show, is it really any surprise the bout was one big commercial for New Years Revolution 2015? Genius marketing from the boys in Boston this week as they work to sell their big PPV)ICW 1/24/15 -- click here --
WRESTLER of the WEEK: Bruno Sammartino (WWE) (He had Jake Roberts beaten for the WWE title, but championships can’t change hands on a countout. So I was reading through some of the 2015 award nominees and it really got me motivated to try to finish this project before 2015. For brevity's sake, I'll be doing Monthly winners instead of weekly. I hope you still enjoy reading these as much as I did when reviewing the original shows once more. March 2015Wrestler of the Month: CM Punk (World Wrestling Federation)The WWF Champion CM Punk made his intentions known during an epic 5-part series called Road to Starrcade, the first time anything like this was attempted in mash up wrestling. Then CM Punk did the impossible when he dethroned Stone Cold Steve Austin for the World title at Starrcade XX, in a dual "Match of the Year" and "Best Show of the Year" nominee. The Pipe Bomb era has officially begun. Match of the Month: *TIE*Stone Cold vs. French Lion [BCCW Fallout Festival] and CM Punk vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin [World Wrestling Federation " Starrcade XX"] Play of the Month: Ric Flair returns to BCCW (Mount Rushmore is formed) (BCCW Fallout Festival)Ric Flair reappeared back on the scene to help his new stablemate Adam Cole steal the coveted "Best of the Best" Trophy win from AJ Styles on the first night of BCCW's 2-night Festival tradition.Tag Team of the Month: Miracle Violence Connection (new World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions) (Starrcade XX)Woman of the Month: Awesome Kong (AGPW Woman's Champion) From "Hellfire in Halifax"Ratings Pop of the Month: Jim Ross announces BCCW / WWE collaboration for Wrestlemania 2From WWE Championship Wrestling- 3/14/2015 (click here)

APRIL 2015MATCH of the MONTH: Bret Hart defends the International Heavyweight Championship against Killer Kowalski AGPW "Titans of Grand Prix" 4/29/15 (click here)PLAY of the MONTH: CM Punk invades BCCW, costs them Match #1 of the "Banned in Boston" Series BCCW "Night of Champions 5" (click here)WRESTLER of the MONTH: Homicide (Independent) The loose cannon of mash up wrestling looked great in victory over Jerry Lynn at ICW 4/11/15, and contested an incredible bout against Austin Aries on the ICW 4/25/15 show. But it's Homicide's brutal actions postmatch that help earn him this (infamous) distinction. RATINGS POP of the MONTH: *TIE* WWE Wrestlemania 2The grandeur, the spectacle, the hype and the celebrity involvement all combined to make this high point of not only WWE programming up to this point, but the entire mash up month of April. *and* World Wrestling Federation "Draft Edition"Interesting at the time, but they couldn't maintain the steam required to power such an idea. The McMahon family feud would continue throughout the year to much turmoil, and perhaps to the ultimate shuttering of World Wrestling Federation as we know it. TAG TEAM of the MONTH: AGPW North American Tag Team Champions IMF (Dibiase & Del Rio) WOMAN of the MONTH: Woman's Champion Awesome Kong (again!) First she defended her title at AGPW "Spring Slaughter" against ECW Jazz. Then she returned to BCCW on Fight Night Dallas to challenge the Bella Twins, who she soundly defeated in a handicap match at BCCW "Night of Champions 5".

AGPW "Journey to Greatness 2015" (click here)WRESTLER of the MONTH: Eddie Guerrero (World Wrestling Federation) Fought through a host of dream opponents on his way to winning the WWF King of the Ring Tournament, including HBK in the Finals.TAG TEAM of the MONTH: Dudley Boyz (WWE Tag Team Champions) The Dudley Boyz may have lost their first title bid against LOD on WWE Championship Wrestling (6/20/15), but they took Hawk out with a postmatch 3D on the concrete floor. That led to Animal bravely trying to defend the titles in a one-on-one match at WWE Championship Wrestling (6/27/15) only to fall in the end. Mash up wrestling history is made when tag titles change hands for the first time ever in a Singles match. WOMAN of the MONTH: Trish Stratus (AGPW) (Finally defeated longtime "frenemy" AJ Lee in a Steel Cage match on AGPW's flagship show of the year)AGPW "Journey to Greatness 2015" (click here)

I'm glad to see that this feature is back. I think monthly highlights will be easier and more manageable for you to do, Karl. I look forward to seeing your thoughts on the rest of 2015. I like that you think my women are the cream of the Mash-Up Wrestling crop because I most certainly do.
