Fabulous Rougeau Brothers vs. Kaientai
Jacques and Raymond, the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, come to the ring waving little American flags and are announced as hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, which earns them plenty of boos from the crowd. They win their AGPW debut in decissive fashion when they execute La Bombe de Rougeau (a double-team bearhug lift into a seated senton bomb drop).
Official Decision: The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers win by pinfall at 4:49
After the match, The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers are joined in the ring by Steve Corino and Andrew “Test” Martin. They cut a promo singing the praises of the United States of America, the land of freedom and opportunity. They have all moved to the USA to make better lives for themselves and they are proud of their adoptive homeland. They have returned to Canada to foster better relations between their birth land and their adoptive homeland and will crush the voices of any ignorant Canadians who conduct demonstrations and hate speeches against the USA, for instance Owen Hart, Lance Storm and Tyson Kidd. They try to get the crowd to join them in chanting “U-S-A! U-S-A!” However, it merely prompts the fans to start singing “Oh, Canada!”
*Commercial Break 2*
Returning from commercial break, SoCal Val is joined by Maryse Ouellet who wishes to announce that she will no longer be managing the world’s greatest Super Athlete, the “Bulgarian Brute” Rusev. She tells us that she received a very lucrative offer to sell her managerial contract, license and firm to a foreign buyer with very deep pockets. When asked what she will do next, she says that she going to move to Hollywood to start a clothing line and pose in Playboy magazine. Step off, sister, Maryse is too good for AGPW!
Jazz vs. Natalya Neidhart
Jazz adds another win to her resume when she forces Natalya to submit to the Bitch Clamp after a very hard fought match by both competitors. After the match, Jazz grabs a microphone and says that this bitch is going to crush all of our heroes on the way to the top.
Official Decision: Jazz wins by submission at 5:41
*Commercial Break 3*
We take a moment out of the show to go to a pre-taped interview conducted by Jeremy Borash, featuring Emile and René Duprée. In this interview, Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling owner and operator Emile Duprée thank his son for doing the right thing by sacrificing his future in AGPW and the opportunity to gain complete control of AGPW when, at War on the East Coast, he counted the pinfall that made Bret “The Hitman” Hart the International Heavyweight Champion and sent Californiacation packing. René says that he counted the pinfall because it was the right thing to do. He says that he has always looked up to his father, that he never wanted to run his father out of business and that, above all else, he wanted to kill the disease that was trying to consume his father’s business. He tells us that, while he was competing in Japan, he was contacted by representatives of the Illuminati of Mash-Up Wrestling. After suffering humiliating defeats from most the US territories, its only remaining area of strength was in AGPW. Rumours ran rampant that the Illuminati was vanquish and gone forever. So it went into hiding and wanted to let everyone believe that it was gone, which is why they needed him to claim he was the new financier of Californiacation. The Illuminati assumed that René must have been angry at his father for enforcing the rules of a losers leave town match (from summer 2013) against his own son. René decided that in order to help his father rid AGPW of the scourge that was trying to take it over and run his father out of business, he would let the Illuminati believe that he hated his father and wanted revenge, so he agreed to become a pawn in its game. However, really he was a double agent and he was just waiting for the right time to deliver the deathblow to Californiacation and the Illuminati. He always stuck by his father’s side, even if Emile didn’t know it, because blood is thicker than water and family is what matters the most. The Duprées hug and Emile thanks his son again for doing his part to stop the Illuminati and for playing an instrumental role in saving the family business.
*Commercial Break 4*
Leo Burke vs. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair
A long, hard fought television match between the local hero, Leo Burke, and the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair ends with Flair blocking a German suplex attempt, reversing the waistlock, executing a belly-to-back suplex and then applying the figure four leg lock. Burke tried to get to the ropes, but Flair was able to drag him back to the middle of the ring, making Burke tap and giving the Nature Boy a much needed victory after suffer a tough loss to Samoa Joe at War on the East Coast.
Official Decision: “Nature Boy” Ric Flair wins by submission at 13:06
*Commercial Break 5*
Chris Candido vs. Killer Kowalski
Killer Kowalski avoids a New Jersey Jam diving leg drop from Chris Candido and then takes full control of the match, eventually winning by submission after applying the Kowalski Claw.
Official Decision: Killer Kowalski wins by submission at 5:13
*Commercial Break 6*
Édouard Carpentier & Dean Malenko vs. “Killer” Karl Krupp & Kurrgan
Édouard Carpentier and Dean Malenko team up together for the first time after forging a friendship after a series of evenly contested matches between each other. Here, they take on the gigantic duo of “Killer” Karl Krupp and the “Acadian Giant” Kurrgan, who return to action after a 3-month hiatus. Carpentier and Malenko fight valiantly, but the always dangerous and ruthless team of Krupp and Kurrgan withstand their every attack and win the match when Krupp forces Carpentier to submit to the Iron Claw while Kurrgan chokeslams Malenko through the French announce team’s table at ringside.
Official Decision: “Killer” Karl Krupp & Kurrgan win by submission at 9:31
*Commercial Break 7*
Welcome to the Highlight Reel, with your host Chris Jericho, and his very special guest, the brand new International Heavyweight Champion, the one and only, Bret “The Hitman” Hart!
Jericho welcomes the brand new champion and asks him questions about his match versus “Superstar” Billy Graham at War on the East Coast. We get to hear how Hart felt going into what many had felt was a matched with a fixed outcome, how he went to fight for Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling, Emile Duprée and the entire country of Canada despite that it seemed like he had no chance of winning the match. Hart felt it was his duty to do the right thing for every Canadian wrestling fan, and fan of Canadian professional wrestling out there, no matter what the odds. Moreover, he says that he is humbled and honoured to be able to stand before us as the new International Heavyweight Champion. Next, Jericho asks Hart when we can expect him to have his first title defence and who he thinks it will be against.
Out comes Ric Flair to stake his claim to the first title shot claiming that he deserves it because he is the true best there is, best there was and best there ever will be. Before Hart can respond, Samoa Joe comes out and says that Flair deserve nothing because he was just killed by the Samoan Submission Machine at War on the East Coast. Then, he says that if the Nature Boy is worthy of a shot at the gold, then he himself is that much more worthy. Next, we have Christian Cage coming out to make his case for a title shot. He says that everyone else needs to wait in line because he is the former champion who never should have lost the title, and who never got the rematch to which he was entitled, and so he deserves the first chance to face Hart. Then, in a surprising twist, the inspirational Bo Dallas comes out to remind us all that he defeated Cage last month, proving that he lacks the necessary BOlief in himself to challenge for the title and that he himself is the only man who BOlieves enough to get a chance at the title.
Angered at the very sight of Dallas, Cage jumps out of the ring and chases Dallas out of the arena. Back in the ring, Jericho sarcastically asks Flair, “didn’t you just lose to Bret Hart a month ago?” which angers the Nature Boy and he sucker punches Jericho, who then retaliates. Joe and Hart try to step in and break it up, but then Flair spits on Hart, who throws a punch. It misses and hits Joe, who then attacks the International Heavyweight Champion. Joe puts Hart in the Coquina Clutch! Meanwhile, Flair throws the Highlight Reel stools at Jericho’s shins, kicks his legs out from under him and then puts him in the figure four. The show ends when security and other officials flood the ring to break up the fighting.
