** DARK MATCHES ** MCMG def. Kendrick/London & GenME (triple threat)(Post match - the huge Matt Morgan leads an assault - until he’s interrupted by MARK HENRY - ostensibly to begin their solo match… but instead, the two behemoths swerve everybody - unite together under “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers - and lay waste to the vanilla midgets around them! Introducing the “POWERS of POTENTIAL”!!)Tommaso Ciampa def. Alex Riley (Ciampa’s undefeated streak continues to run up after joining new - and mysterious - East Coast tutelage…)Colt Cabana, Ruckus, Weedman & Human Tornado def. Heath Slater, Honky Tonk Man & PG-13(The end of their humorous, multi-person tag team adventures with a clash of personalities and styles that is utterly captivating. Too bad their feel-good celebration is destroyed post match by the rampaging PITBULLS tag team!)…Legion of Doom (Hawk & Animal) def. Pitbulls (No Holds Barred Streetfight)(A culmination of their brief - yet brutish - Dark Match saga. Ever since the demise of XPW Online and the loss of XPW TV’s 3rd hour, these Dark Match sagas are being cultivated and collected for an ultimate “XPW REMIXED UNDERGROUND” DVD/Blu-Ray compilation to be released someday).** DARK MATCH MAIN EVENT ** Dean Ambrose (w/ Onita) def. Hakushi (Falls Count Anywhere Match)(The constantly-at-odds Ambrose & Onita finally come to an uneasy-understanding when Onita steps up to help Ambrose defeat Hakushi by debuting his NEW Far-East Assassin… introducing to XPW Remixed, by way of Atsushi Onita = LORD TENSAI!! The monster emerged from the shadows to destroy Hakushi and allow Ambrose the pin… Onita & Ambrose remain united under the Black Army umbrella… but Onita clearly pulled a power-play that may move him ahead of Ambrose in the Black Army hierarchy… and both men are keenly aware of that…) Lord Tensai is in XPW Remixed...** CUT ** _____________________________________________________________________XPW Remixed presents...
"The 18th Letter" Pyro! Fans! Loud music! This is the official start of the PPV and your commentators Solie & Striker run down the entire card with a special focus on the main event match between Thesz & Joe. ** Now a few words from tonight's (un)official sponsor ** www.youtube.com/user/SHOWTIME?v=2NzpnjVmuCA** CUT TO RING ** _________________________________________________________________** XPW Television Title **RVD 4:20 © versus JOHN MORRISON versus Exciting, explosive opener in the vein of a classic WCW cruiserweight match. RVD & John Morrison display chemistry and sportsmanship. But individual egos come into play and each man tries wildly topping the other until we’ve got bodies literally somersaulting over fans heads into the stands. Missed Starship Pain = 5 Star Frogsplash counter for the clean win. Chants of “THIS IS WRESTLING!” and “THIS IS AWESOME” rang out loud and early, as XPW Remixed starts the show with a shotgun bang. There’s even a light tease of friction at the end, but Morrison ultimately accepts the Handshake of mutual respect. Winner (and STILL XPW TV champion): ROB VAN DAM(Post match, RVD’s backstage congratulatory interview with MSD is interrupted by JINDER MAHAL and some sports commission doctors! RVD must consent to an immediate PED-test following his victory! Jinder Mahal just smirks as RVD is led away down the hall holding a plastic cup…) ** CUT ** _________________________________________________________________** XPW Woman’s championship **TRISH STRATUS © versus AWESOME KONG versus Sexy Sable (1998) assumes guest commentator duties alongside Solie & Striker. She's next in line for a title shot. The XPW Remixed Woman's championship is exactly one year old - debuting at "Retribution" last year. Big time PPV entrances for both women, as commentators discuss their individual fantasy wrestling accomplishments and burgeoning XPW Remixed rivalry. This is a rematch from the surprise Trish Stratus title win at “DI2”. Stratus is universally regarded as one of (if not *THE*) greatest female wrestler of all time - and she shows why tonight. Tough, feisty and resilient - she is none the less half the size of Kong - and that size disparity ultimately plays into the finish. After an extended beat down segment that saw Trish nearly finished multiple times - she sprung back into action with the same finishing sequence of moves that ended Kong’s original title reign. But this time Kong reverses the springboard bulldog attempt - and LAUNCHES Stratus over the top rope to the arena floor! “HOLY S***!” and “XPW!” chants. Trish had one more brief comeback attempt, but was stifled by a spinning backfist. Implant Buster ends things dramatically and emphatically. She stares down Sable next. Another Barbie doll laid to waste at the hands of Awesome Kong… who can stop this woman??Winner (and NEW XPW Remixed Woman’s champion): AWESOME KONG ** CUT ** ** INTERLUDE ** Camera shots of Jack Pfefer (who took over Rob Black's management position - "temporarily") lounging in the VIP press box above the arena enjoying the show. And who's that sitting with him? ANDERSON SILVA & JUNIOR DOS SANTOS?? Wow, they are Pfefer's guests for the show!! What does this mean??** CUT ** ____________________________________________________________________ALBERTO DEL RIO (w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) versus MIL MASCARAS("La Familia Grudge Match") w/ versus Blood rivalry on a historic level. This is literally fantasy wrestling magic, and only XPW Remixed can bring it to you live and in 3D/HD. On commentary, Matt Striker is in his glory recounting the story of Del Rio & Mascaras (Mil is Alberto’s blood uncle) and how it got to this point between these two men. Later, he also gives a history lesson on “masked lucha libre” versus the unmasked American variety - and how the differing philosophies on the two art forms has caused this violent family feud. Alberto is quicker, leaner and meaner - but Mascaras is surprisingly well-muscled and stands strong against Del Rio’s assault. The focus is on Mascaras’ already-weakened arm and shoulder, but Del Rio makes the cocky mistake of going for Mil’s mask once or twice (the ULTIMATE disrespect) and it opens the door for Mascaras comebacks. Solie reminds us of Mascaras’ victory over Gunner that followed the same lines… At one point, Del Rio *DOES* unmask Mil - only to find a SECOND mask underneath! Foiled again!
Mil Mascaras was voted Pro Wrestling Illustrated “Most Popular Wrestler of the Year” (1975) and this match shows why. The predominately-Mexican crown here in LA is 100% behind Mascaras. Unfortunately for Mil, even the rabid Latino audience can’t help him counter the diabolical machinations of Del Rio’s ringside second Ricardo Rodriguez… he hops up on the apron forcing Mascaras to sail off the top rope with a cross body to crush him (but waste valuable Mascaras concentration)… later Ricardo tries to use his shoe as a weapon but is rebuffed there. But in the end, he manages to make a desperation grab of Mil’s boot - halting his momentum off the ropes and causing the masked marvel to break concentration once more. Del Rio actually grounds Mascaras this time - and RIPS THE 2nd MASK OFF! It was only briefly, but Mascaras scrambled to pull the hood back over his face - leaving his arm open to a Del Rio counter attack. Alberto rolls his uncle into a crippling arm breaker… and forces a tap! Mil Mascaras - the man who never sells or jobs cleanly - just tapped out to his nephew Alberto Del Rio in the middle of the ring! MASSIVE heel heat for the disrespectful and evil Alberto Del Rio - who just took a major step towards contending for the XPW WORLD title… *HIS* XPW World title! Winner (by submission): ALBERTO DEL RIO ** CUT ** ______________________________________________________________________** XPW King of the Death Match title **KILO © versus SAMI CALLIHAN (w/ French Angel) versus w/ You don’t even get to see this match. It starts off with the sick, creepy video recap of Sami taunting Kilo with mind games before revealing French Angel in his corner… and that’s it. Cut to static… blackness… WTF? Finally you get the “Technical Difficulties” sidebar. Another classic iPPV moment as XPW Remixed completely loses transmission. Angry viewers get no solace from the company itself, either. VP Toots Mondt would come out later blaming the outage solely on the iPPV provider and claiming no responsibility. No refunds for angry viewers either. By the time the feed finally resumes (choppy at first), these guys have brawled, bled and bashed each other all over the arena. Finally - French Angel has managed to corner Kilo high atop a scaffold and is ready to seek his own retribution… when Kilo reveals his secret weapon: SAMMI LANE!
Now a stupefied, hypnotized drug slave (think “Angelina Love & Winter = TNA 2011”) just the appearance of Sammi Lane alone is enough to unnerve and distract French Angel - allowing for a weapons filled sneak attack from the rear. But before Kilo can plunge Angel from the rafters, Sami Callihan finally makes it up there just in time to stop him - but takes a sacrificial plunge off the scaffold (through stacked tables) instead - shades of Final Destination “death must have a replacement” right there. Callihan plunges from the top of the building - French Angel has his heart ripped out of his chest and stomped on - and a proudly despicable Rob Black poses alongside the victorious Kilo (and drug-addled Sammi Lane) to end the segment. Absolutely abhorable, and Solie & Striker let the viewer know in no uncertain terms their exact thoughts on the entire tragic travesty…Winner (and STILL KotDM): KILO Sammi Lane is back... as a hollow, mindless shell.** CUT ** _____________________________________________________________”DANGEROUS” DANNY DAVIS vs. ROCKY MARCIANO(“Wrestler vs. Boxer match”) versus In real life - the age old debate of “wrestler vs. boxer” has been firmly settled. If black-and-white examples from back in the day aren’t relevant enough for you - look no further than UFC 118 (in BOSTON, muthaphuckkers!!) when wrestler Randy Couture choked out boxer James Toney in the first round with little resistance. So it’s safe to say that if you have equally skilled combatants, each representing their respective combat sport, the wrestler will win (usually in a non-exciting, smothering fashion) every single time. But this is fantasy wrestling and this is XPW Remixed - so we flip the script completely. Here Danny Davis (after the pomp and circumstance of each mans PPV entrance - the highlight of the entire affair) cannot secure a takedown attempt for the life of him and spends the entire 5 minutes of round 1 trying to cowardly avoid the Brockton Blockbuster. Match is set for 10 five minute rounds, but Rocky needs only two. He finally corners Davis with a bevy of hard shots - and Davis *TRIES* to retaliate using a body slam (ala Piper/Mr T/Wrestlemania 2) - but gets KTFO and STFU by a heavy overhand right that slumps his body over like a heroin addict shooting up that fatal overdose. BAM Davis hit’s the mat for 10 and that’s it. Rocky Marciano by KO. Winner (by KO): ROCKY MARCIANO(On September 23rd 2012 - exactly 60 years to the day Marciano became heavyweight boxing champion - he returned home to Brockton for a historic statue unveiling. Your boy MSD was front and center the entire weekend, and I even put together a few clips of the event on you tube. Check it out. Even 30 years after his death, Rocky Marciano continues to make history - both in real life, and in the fantasy ring of XPW Remixed… enjoy the tribute). ** CUT ** ___________________________________________________________________** TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES **Another black-out. This time you miss a Lou Thesz interview (where he explains he had the "FTW" title destroyed after his victory over Taz and plans to do the same to Joe tonight) - a monologue from Damien Sandow where he gives his manager Wild Red Berry props and promises a FabKangs title victory tonight - a brief (but controversial) promo from Rashad Cameron & his Movement - and a main event promo from Samoa Joe where he promises all kinds of doom & gloom for Thesz tonight...** RESUME ** JOHN CENA & ALEXXIS NEVAEH versus GUNNER & DARLIN w/ vs w/ We miss the video recap and ring entrances due to more techincal difficulties. Surprisingly (or not, if you're the cynical type), the fans started off slightly in the favor of Gunner & Darlin (who's obscene, pornographic antics have pleased many frustrated male wrestling fans). But by the end of the match the crowd gets solidly behind Cena - who unleashes a physical violence upon Gunner the likes of which we haven't seen in Cena since the advent of the so-called "PG Era" of WWE. This match saw both men come close to losing on several occasions (and even teased a Jessica Darlin nipple slip after a botched interference attempt resulted in a ringside catfight between her & Alexxis). The ending sequence saw Gunner attempt his F5 finisher but Cena reversed it into the STFU. Gunner escaped by grabbing the ropes (aided by Darlin). A few moments after it was broken, Gunner actually hit the F5 and came close to getting the win (Striker reminds you it was actually the "F5" manuever that gave birth to Cena's "FU" answer way back in 2003). But with Cena down, he decided to advance upon and intimidate Alexxis - who answered with a brazen SLAP to Gunners face! She was gonna die until Cena stepped in at the last moment for the save. A few moments later, Phil "Gunner" Shatter slammed Cena on the top rope - but Cena reversed Gunner's manuever and wound up hitting a titanic FUAA to Gunner - OFF the top rope - for the definitive finish! Alexxis plants Darlin with a spinning DDT that launches her out of the ring for good. Cena & Nevaeh pose victoriously and dedicate their win to the good fight (and Commissioner Muldoon). Cena makes the universal motion for "I want the championship belt". Winner: JOHN CENA** CUT ** _______________________________________________________________** XPW Boston Championship **SHANE DOUGLAS © & PtP (w/ Lizzy Borden) versus SHEAMUS w/ versus It takes less than 18 seconds for Sheamus to launch a surprise attack immediately as the bell sounds - and take off Titus O’Neil’s head with a Brogue Kick! Just like Tito Santana/Warlord/Survivor Series 1990 - Titus is GONE within moments! Down to 2-on-1 already! Crowd is absolutely rabid for Sheamus tonight. Rockstar Kaos steps up next and really gets to strut his stuff (in response to the embarrassingly short loss HE suffered to Sheamus on XPW TV Episode #54). Kaos constantly wears his imitation “World Champion Wrestling man” title belt and executes all his egocentric mannerisms (Scott Steiner push-ups, Hulk Hogan poses, Austin Aries taunts etc…) until enraging Sheamus enough to mount a baby face comeback. Sheamus handles business, tears the “I BEAT AUSTIN ARIES” T-shirt right off of Kaos’ back, and pins him after a Celtic Cross finisher! It’s 1 on 1 with old storyline rivals Shane Douglas & Sheamus about to finally settle their grudge!
Shane Douglas at first plays the cowardly heel - trying to duck, dodge and avoid the rampaging Sheamus and hiding behind his valet Lizzy Borden. Commentators cover the arc of their XPW Remixed feud, that began when Sheamus stood up against Shane’s bullying of a distraught Danno O’Mahoney (RIP) and ended with Sheamus ending the Triple Threat in a 3-on-1 match… just like tonight. But just when it seems like the story will unfold in similar fashion - Shane Douglas comes to life. The culmination of Sheamus’ beatings during this match seems to be catching up with him, and Douglas reminds us why he was the “Franchise” of ECW with his dominant ring work. All the sudden you think it’s 2000 and you’re watching a Triple H match with a foregone conclusion. Until Sheamus kicks out of the Pittsburgh Plunge! Shane is incredulous and Sheamus slowly mounts an offense. In the end, Lizzy interferes - Shane tries hiding behind her again - but Sheamus says F*** IT and RUNS THROUGH LIZZY BORDEN with a brogue kick! HOLY SH**!! “XPW! XPW!” chants from the rebellious crowd on that one. White Noise, Irish Curse, Celtic Cross… 1!.. 2!.. 3!! WE HAVE A NEW XPW BOSTON CHAMPION!! Winner (and NEW XPW Boston champion): SHEAMUS (2012)** CUT ** ______________________________________________________________TAZ vs. BRUNO SAMMARTINO(“Xtreme Grudge Match”) versus Heavyweight slugfest between the two, rife with bad blood and personality disputes. They brawl around ringside - unleash devastating suplexes - and even break a nearby guardrail in their battle. Commentators have a field day with the whole “honor vs. disrespect” subtext here, and can barely disguise their favoritism (they want Bruno to win). Taz finally takes over for good at the end, and is about to crush Bruno with a dragon suplex - but loses his grip - gets reversed - and Bruno hit’s a bridging back suplex to put both men’s shoulders down on the mat! 1!.. 2!.. Bruno gets a shoulder up! 3!!
Immediate kick out by Taz but it’s too late! Taz is shocked as the bell sounds to end the match and the crowd erupts with a roar! Bruno did it! He came back from retirement - avenged his Best of 7 series loss to Joe - and ENDS the path of rage all in one fell swoop! Depending on who you talk to, this was either upset of the year or the expected result. Taz tries a jealous post match attack with a chair (harkening back to the Larry Zybysko/Bruno days) - but is BLOCKED by Bruno with a second folding chair! Dueling chair bit until Bruno disarms him and BASHES Taz in the head with a unprotected chair shot to clear him out for good! “BRUUUUNO! BRUUUUNO!” Much like John Cena before him, Bruno displays a blood thirsty ferocity rarely seen in his prior work. But this is XPW Remixed… and tonight we all seek RETRIBUTION!!Winner: BRUNO SAMMARTINO** CUT ** ** BACKSTAGE INTERLUDE **MSD gets some words from Paul Bowser about his big announcement... he's officially seceding from XPW Remixed - returning back East - and STARTING HIS OWN FEDERATION! It's in response to the tawdry, tasteless actions of XPW Remixed that have given all of fantasy wrestling a bad name! From the ashes we will rise, and you'll be SHOCKED to find out who's deserting XPW Remixed for this new endeavor! Stay tuned! Wow this is HUGE news!!** CUT TO RING ** _____________________________________________________________________** XPW Tag Team Titles **DUDLEY BOYZ © versus FABULOUS KANGAROOS (w/ Berry)(“Tag Team Tables Match“) versus w/ Wordy, nerdy promo from Wild Red Berry to start and much pomp & circumstance for the entrance of his FabKangs. Good quality tag team match that shows why XPW Remixed has the deepest tag team roster in fantasy wrestling history. Lots of stiff brawling and slamming. FabKangs try everything (including a flagpole to the spine of D-Von) to get the upper hand, and even go up 1-0 when they put D-Von through a table. But that’s the end of their run. The crowd helps fire up the Dudz - and they run through all their popular spots. One by one the FabKangs go through a table, with a thunderous 3D putting Heffernan through the last one to end it! Dudz retain - and then go above and beyond to appease the fans earlier chants of “WE WANT TABLES!” - when they *FINALLY* get their hands on Wild Red Berry… and POWERBOMB HIM THROUGH A FLAMING TABLE!! “HOLY SH**!” and “XPW!” chants! Winners (and STILL XPW Remixed tag team champions): DUDLEY BOYZWild Red Berry goes for a ride through a flaming table** CUT ** ____________________________________________________________________** XPW WORLD championship **LOU THESZ © versus SAMOA JOE versus Joe knows where his bread is buttered, and starts throwing kicks to start… Thesz counters and tries tying Joe into a grapple but can‘t secure it. So Thesz tries throwing a kick, but Joe catches it and forces the clinch. Thesz breaks away and tries another takedown attempt, but Samoa Joe executes an expert sprawl - keeping Lou at bay. Joe is trying to throw some strikes but isn‘t landing much. Joe catches another shoot from Thesz, but can’t take him down. Samoa Joe is clearly getting more comfortable with his stand-up as the match wears on. Joe still striking with Thesz to thrown him off his game, and tries to come over the top, but doesn’t land. But Thesz catches Joe with a rebound off the ropes into a drop toe hold. Joe tries to pull guard on the mat, but Thesz shrugs him off. Thesz landing more regularly now, but most of his ground-n-pound attempts are expertly avoided by Joe. Crowd getting restless. Thesz with a wear down hold on Joe. Commentators cover the wave of physical assaults suffered by Thesz in the weeks leading up to this match, and surmise it might have something to do with his extra-defensive strategy tonight.
Joe aggressively fights to his feet, but Thesz backs him up with some crisp jabs. Thesz comes over the top and nails Joe with a forearm - but Samoa Joe retaliates with some stiff body shots. So Thesz looks for the clinch again, but his weakened ribs allow Joe to create distance with no problem. Joe looks for a takedown, but Thesz dodges that and goes back on defense. A stifled, muted “BORING” chant starts to emanate from small pockets of the crowd. Ironic, because “THIS IS WRESTLING” despite what the fans were chanting earlier during the RVD/Morrison spot fest. After some sloppy kickboxing from Joe in the corner, Thesz finally shoots in and gets a takedown. He’s trying to work an arm submission but Joe won’t wilt.
Joe back to his striking, unleashing wicked elbows and forearms upon Thesz - but Lou takes him down again. Not much action so far as each man exchanges submission attempts (aka “rest holds” to the more cynical of us) on the mat with little success. But then Samoa Joe hit’s a surprise head kick that stuns Thesz and makes him wobble! Striker harkens back to Joe‘s TKO victory over Dan Severn on the last XPW TV Episode. Joe immediately rushes to follow-up, but Thesz fights him off before falling to a single-leg takedown. Now Joe is on top and Thesz pulls tight guard. Joe pops Thesz with a couple good shot, but can’t finish the fight. A belly to back suplex puts Lou on the mat with authority and Joe is finally going for his Kokina clutch! But it just leads to more uneventful grappling and scrambling on the mat. Thesz is clearly hurting, but the longer this match goes (30 + mins so far…) Joe seems to be wearing down. Thesz comes over the top and takes Joe down with an expert hip toss, but not much follow up. More grappling exchanges, but again neither fighter seems to be landing much. Joe misses an énziguri but hit’s a devastating shining wizard! Both men now tangled up like a pretzel on the mat, with a weakened Thesz giving up his back… and Joe segueing into his Kokina clutch finisher! He looks like he might sink it this time…** CUT ** ** ALL BLACK ** ** PPV FEED TIME EXCEEDED ** _________________________________________________________
