** HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR "(ANOTHER) NEW YEARS REVOLUTION"
(Title Unification bout to headline card!!!)
XPW Remixed unleashed another game changing prospect upon the Territory Wars last week. A fantasy wrestling match-up for the eons – accentuated by new millennium devices – derived of ancient gladiatorial combat. “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers. Bruno Sammartino. Lou Thesz. The names say it all. Add into the mix a volatile, Spartacus-era audience thirsting for mortal combat… a shooters gallery of rogues and scoundrels from the Boardwalk Empire era… and THREE of the biggest championships in the Mash-Up Wrestling UNIVERSE and suddenly you understand… an epiphany of wrestling proportions… this my friend, is indeed EPIC.
This is BIGGER than wrestling. This is 3 philosophies clashing… three armies of soldiers colliding… 3 cultures, world apart, coming together… this is “(Another) New Years Revolution” and THIS is TITLE UNIFICATION bout to determine the Undisputed Wrestling Champion of the WORLD. Each man brings with him a piece of hardware that certifies HIM as the greatest. Each of those belts, legacies, lineage and heritage will be merged to produce the most dominant artifact in fantasy wrestling… The XPW Remixed Undisputed championship. But to understand where we are at, you need to understand where we came from…
Wrestling is, was, has been and always will be the sport of kings. From Hercules to Achilles to Abraham Lincoln a strong fighting lineage has been traced deep within human kind. It is an urge that cannot be denied. Pro wrestling fed the need for mortal combat, while combining it with the very real aspects of monetary compensation (American greed at its finest) to foster one of the greatest get-rich schemes of the 20th century. The raw idea began to take shape, but it took 3 master craftsman to mold into the nuclear-powered engine we now know it as. They are infamous, and only whispered about in pro wrestling circles – while simultaneously finding that legacy forever intertwined with the modern day product… THE GOLD DUST TRIO.
At the behest of the MadStepDad (akin to re-opening the gates of Hell), the Gold Dust Trio were resurrected upon an unsuspecting fantasy wrestling universe with the sole intent of CHANGING THE GAME. Again. What was old is new again. From Frank Gotch to Frank Shamrock – Pancrase to Steel Cages – wrestling has come full circle. MMA influences with pro wrestling pageantry. The Gold Dust Trio modeled pro wrestling after the successful Broadway packages of the day – something Paul Heyman continued with ECW – and we see every day today as wrestling fans. The fantasy Gold Dust Trio (Ed Lewis, Toots Mondt & The Grand Wizard) funded and founded “BCCW” – “Broken City Championship Wrestling”. Based in the North East of the US where pro wrestling has flourished in the past, they succeeded in creating one of (if not THE) hottest underground org in the Fantasy Wrestling universe. But all good things must come to an end, and when their campaign of darkness was overcome by a Hero of Light they crumbled. Fraud, conspiracy, bribery, extortion and even murder accusations sank the BCCW ship until it was finally mismanaged into the same great financial abyss as Enron and Adelphia. Gold Dust Trio fled into the Mists, never to be seen or heard from again. Until a spark begot a flash fire out in Los Angeles…
The Gold Dust Trio didn’t disappear after all. They just went into hiding. In the sleazy, porn-infested, drug-abusing, soul-shattered ultraviolent underground of LA independent wrestling. They adopted the long dormant initials of “XPW”, because the stain of the original name matched the depravity they hoped to unleash upon the Mash-Up Wrestling universe. So you think we’re the worst, trashiest, raunchiest, most depraved, deplorable, disgusting, scumbags in the fantasy wrestling universe??? Fuck it then we ARE. Nobody likes us so we will DESTROY your world. Hence, the plague of “XPW Remixed” was spread amongst the people. But they didn’t count on the lone specter of light left amongst their dark kingdom sparking a revolution…
Bruno Sammartino – representing the souls of the enslaved serfs turned conquerors – rose up to challenge for this new piece of championship hardware. To them it represented everything they hoped to turn fantasy wrestling into – bloody anarchy, destruction and death. To him, it represented the crown jewels of the kingdom – to be stolen from the oppressive monarchs and dictators, and redistributed to the starving peasants, ham-and-eggers and 9-5’ers of the empire. With the King's crown upon his head, Sammartino sought to topple their dark wave before it could consume the universe… even if it meant sacrificing himself for the cause. But Bruno soon came to find out, he wasn’t alone.
The legend Lou Thesz – nearly forgotten in contemporary wrestling circles – was born for the Remixed version of pro wrestling. Back when “hooking” and “shooting” was viable, dangerous and very very real, Lou Thesz was king. The Georges St. Pierre-meets-Brock Lesnar of his day, Lou Thesz is a wrestling machine. Much like Bruno, he is disgusted by the turn pro wrestling has taken in recent generations and that bitterness almost consumed him. But along with XPW Remixed came a rebirth. Another chance to right the wrongs of blood-sucking promoters who leeched off the backs of the boys for centuries. Isn’t it ironic, that for all the honor and integrity Thesz & Sammartino exude, they were drawn (like moths to a flame) to the most depraved, appalling, HATED fantasy wrestling league in the world? Shunned and forsaken by those who built their companies upon Thesz & Sammartino’s back, they both came to XPW Remixed with the same mission: restore pro wrestling to its rightful glory. If they can do that amidst the squalor, degeneration and decay of XPW Remixed, they can do it anywhere.
“Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers is the antithesis of Sammartino & Thesz. A consummate showman, performer and ultimate conman, Rogers is the flashy and controversial forefather of such men as Superstar Graham, Ric Flair & Dolph Ziggler. He IS pro wrestling and remains in the record book as the very first WWWF Champion in history. But he’s also responsible for the financial mismanagement (and ultimate destruction) of BCCW, and the controversial “splitting” of the XPW Championship. Disputing the end of his Iron Man match with Sammartino at “LIBERTY or DEATH”, Rogers walked out at the end of regulation. While Lewis & Mondt sought to crown Sammartino as champion – Rogers brought in Jack Pfefer and sided with The Grand Wizard to stake his OWN claim as champion. Some draw parallels between the modern day “split” of RAW & Smackdown, but it’s actually a throwback to wrestling angles of old that led to the formation of countless “territories” with their own “world” champion. But at “(Another) New Years Revolution” – on January 28th from Boston MA – these eternal debates will be put to rest FOREVER, when Rogers, Sammartino & Thesz put their titles on the line to determine the ONE TRUE champion!

"Poor Orville Brown. Who knows if he’s ever going to get in the ring again. That remains to be seen. As far as anybody else, I love Big Shad G. I’m a big fan of his, and I was from the first time I saw him. I would like to work with him!

DRAKE YOUNGER vs DANNY HAVOC vs SCOTTY VORTEKZ
versus versus
Match was born out of the Shooters Club victory in the "Best of 7" series. Since then, opponents have come out of the woodwork to challenge the best. They come from all over, even the sewers of professional wrestling. "The Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger is the policeman of the Shooters Club when it comes to raw, underground extremism. Witness him in action tonight against perennial XPW Remixed Death Match contender Danny Havoc and featuring the one-time appearance of underground Indy sensation Scotty Vortekz. Drake Younger refers to himself as the "Ultraviolent Underground" champion and has dared anybody to test that claim...
Winner: DRAKE YOUNGER

POGO the CLOWN versus USO's (w/ Ad Santel)
(Handicap Match)

MAIN EVENT
** XPW Remixed Woman's Championship **
ANNIE SOCIAL vs TAMINA (w/ Ad Santel)
versus
Announcers put Tamina over for her 2nd generation heritage and Ad Santel’s training… she’s the powerhouse bully of XPW Remixed woman’s division… Annie Social stays resilient and bounces back (get it?) against Tamina… extended face-in-peril match portion for Social as Tamina shows off her offense… but a missed superfly splash from the top rope opens Tamina up for a sunset flip/powerbomb from Social for the victory!!!
Winner (and STILL XPW Woman's champion): ANNIE SOCIAL
Social's music and title celebration are cut off by XPW Remixed woman's division pres Lizzy Borden's theme song. She has a house mic and addresses Social from the entrance ramp. Lizzy Borden predicts something sexy and sensual for the woman's champion next week on XPW TV. Another very special menage-trois Bikini match! And we ALL know how that ended last time!!! Annie Social defends her title in a 3-way bikini match! Next week on XPW TV!!! Oh yeah, one of her opponents will be LIZZY BORDEN herself! And if Annie Social doesn't do business the right way (whatever THAT means...) she'll be FIRED!!!
***********
SUNNY SAYZ:
First of all, I think if you have more than five girls at one time it’s way too much. It takes all the specialness out of it. When I was [in XPW Original], there were three of us, and every time you saw one of us it meant something. Now, there’s a girl in practically every single segment on the show. To have a women’s match on every show I think is just too much. I’m not a fan of women’s wrestling. Just leave that part to the guys!!
