Dario Cueto was sitting in his office counting up the cash he took in from the previous show when there was a knock at the door. He quickly gathered up the money, put it in a safe inside of a small liquor cabinet and then said, “Come in.” It was El Generico. He wanted a moment of El Jefe’s time. Cueto asked what it was about. The luchador expressed an interest in winning a championship and wanted to know how to do it. Cueto looked at him quizically, as if to wonder if he was serious, so he asked him. El Generico told him that, yes, he was in fact serious. He didn’t know how to become Lucha Underground Champion and wanted to know how he could be the champion. Cueto told him that he had to beat the current champion to become the champion. El Generico asked if that meant he would have to beat Prince Puma to become the Lucha Underground Champion. Cueto confirmed that was what it meant. El Generico then asked when he could get a match with the champion. Cueto told him that he wants to have Prince Puma in next week’s main event, but that El Generico wasn’t a big enough draw. El Generico initially agreed, but then asked what he meant. He said that someone with a history of winning would be a big enough draw. El Generico, by contrast, has only two matches to his name, and he has lost them both. Yes, yes, he has, El Generico agreed, but the next match could be his first win. And the next match after that could be the one where he becomes Lucha Underground Champion! El Generico started chanting “Olé! Olé! Olé! Olé!” as he turned and left the office.

Keith Lee vs. Humberto Carrillo
Keith Lee vs. Humberto Carrillo
Famous B and Beautiful Brenda walked down the steps of the bleachers seating section as the match was getting under way and sat in the front row for this match. A few minutes into the match, Keith Lee went for a running clothesline. Humberto Carrillo ducked it and ran the ropes but ended up on the receiving end of a pounce. Lee lifted Carrillo into a fireman’s carry. Carrillo elbowed him until he was released and dropkicked Lee through the ropes and to the floor. Then, he popped the crowd when he executed a corkscrew plancha on him. He sent him back into the ring and executed a springboard missile dropkick. Lee kicked out of the pinfall attempt. Carrillo went to the top rope. Lee got to his feet and Carrillo went for a diving hurricanrana, but Lee countered it with a Spirit Bomb! That was all he needed to win the match. Famous B and Beautiful Brenda marveled at Lee’s strength and gave him a standing ovation at the end of the match.
WINNER : Keith Lee

Becky Lynch was working out in the grungy-looking Lucha Underground training gym when Bayley walked in, offering her a sarcastic welcome to Lucha Underground. Lynch noted that Bayley didn’t sound too happy to see her here. Bayley said that no matter where she goes, Lynch seems to follow. This time, she won’t let her steal her thunder. Besides, there are no dedicated women’s championships, so Bayley can’t see how Lynch’s frail body will hold up in the ring against luchadores twice her size, week-after-week. Lynch said that Bayley seems to have forgotten Lynch’s reputation. On the streets just as in the arenas, everywhere she has been, there has been one constant - they call her “The Man.” That’s a reputation earned because to be the man, you have to beat the man. Lynch has done that. She did it back in Ireland when there were no women stepping through the ropes to beat. Coming here is like getting back to her roots. She’ll beat luchadores just as easily as she can beat luchadoras. Bayley doesn’t think she has what it takes and challenges her to prove it next week. Lynch tells her to find the biggest, baddest luchador she can. She doesn’t care who it is, she’ll go in there and beat him because she is “The Man.”

Match for the Gift of the Gods
Penta El 0M vs. Angel Garza
Match for the Gift of the Gods
Penta El 0M vs. Angel Garza
Two weeks ago, Penta El 0M said he would defend the Gift of the Gods against everyone who was in the ladder match in which he won the prize before turning it in to Dario Cueto for a shot at Prince Puma’s Lucha Underground Championship. That night, he made his first successful title defense against Dr. Wagner Jr. Tonight, he put the title on the line against Angel Garza.
Six minutes in, Penta was in control, slapping Garza’s bare chest with open-palm strikes. He even removed his glove to get the added echo of a flesh-on-flesh strike. Penta whipped Garza to the ropes and gave him a sling blade. When Garza got up, he gave him another sling blade. With the match appearing to be in hand, Penta played to the crowd before climbing to the second turnbuckle. He leapt off the turnbuckle and Garza caught him under the chin with a superkick. He went for the cover. Penta kicked out at two-and-nine-tenths. Garza picked up Penta and gave him a rebound inverted suplex, then went to the second rope and landed a moonsault. He pinned Penta, who still got a shoulder up before the referee could count to three. Garza put Penta on the top rope, then climbed up. He was setting up for a superplex, but Penta blocked it and countered with a front suplex drop, then executed a diving double foot stomp. Penta picked up Garza and executed a package piledriver before pinning him for the win. Garza’s tag team partner, Humberto Carrillo, came to the ring and got Garza out of there before he became the next luchador to have his arm snapped in half by the fearless Penta El 0M.
WINNER : Penta El 0M

Zelina Vega and Andrade Cien Almas met with Dario Cueto in his office, where Vega said she heard that Cueto was looking for a challenger to Prince Puma and his Lucha Underground Championship next week. Cueto acknowledged there may be some truth to the rumour. Andrade said he wanted to challenge him. Cueto asked why Andrade deserves to get the shot at the title. Vega argued that Andrade was saddled with a pair of sub-par trios partners - referring to Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza - in the trios tournament and single-handedly advanced them to the semifinals. He carried that trio on his back. Now, clearly, after their decisive losses this week in singles competitions, it is obvious that Andrade was fighting uphill battles. It’s time to give him a fair fight on level playing ground - and that fight will be on championship playing grounds against Prince Puma. Cueto leaned back in his chair to ponder their argument for a moment before agreeing to give him the spot. Next week, Andrade Cien Almas will challenge Prince Puma for the Lucha Underground Championship.

He made the pin, but Ripley kicked out. Wilde ran to the corner and went for the quick moonsault but Ripley got her knees up. Once back to her feet, Ripley dropped Wilde with a running big boot, then gave him Rip Tide. She made the cover. Escobar broke it up with a frog splash.
Kong came in and gave him a clothesline. She was preparing to give him a chokeslam when Del Toro hit her in the back with a steel chair. Escobar ran over and dropkicked her out of the ring. Baszler tried to attack him, but he took her down with a chair shot, and then gave Ripley one too. Wilde ran to the far ropes, hopped over Ripley and got a double assist from Escobar and Del Toro, who flipped him into a slingshot springboard moonsault. He pinned Ripley for the 1…2… shoulder up! Wilde tagged in Del Toro, who went to the top rope and executed a phoenix splash. He made the cover. 1…2… Baszler struck him in the back with the steel chair.
Escobar came into the ring and superkicked the chair into Baszler’s face. He picked her up and went for a Phantom Driver, but Kong pulled Baszler down, and then dropped Escobar with a lariat.
