This week’s show began inside Dario Cueto’s office. He greets Santos Escobar, who sat across the table from him, and Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, who stood flanking his shoulders. Escobar told him the reason he requested this meeting: he and his new associates wished to enter the Lucha Underground Trios Championship tournament. Cueto said that he was in luck as he needed one more team to round out the field of eight. He could put them in a match versus Mexicools tonight. Escobar, Wilde, and Del Toro didn’t want that match. They wanted to face the Super Friends instead. Cueto pointed out that each of them has lost a match to the members of the Super Friends in the past two weeks. Escobar said that it was important to establish that, collectively, the Legado del Cuerno was better than any trio in the world, and the best way to do that was by avenging those fluke losses and taking the Super Friends out of the tournament in the first round. Cueto liked his reasoning and decided to switch the bracket to appease him. Escobar told Cueto that he would not be disappointed by what was to come later tonight.

Trick Williams vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Bayley vs. Killshot
Trick Williams dropped Killshot to the mat with a jumping high-angle hook kick. He tried following it up with a scissors kick, but Killshot moved and countered with a lungblower. He went to the top rope and was tripped up by Bayley, who then climbed to the top rope and gave him a frankensteiner that caused him to land on Williams’ knees. Rodriguez ran over and dropped Bayley to the mat with a big boot. She picked him up and set her up for a powerbomb but Williams caught her with a jumping high-angle hook kick. Next, he hit Bayley with a jumping high-knee strike that sent her tumbling out of the ring. Rodriguez charged at him and he dropped to the mat, pulling on the top rope so the momentum of her clothesline attempt sent her falling to the floor. When Williams got up, Killshot attacked, executing a jumping DDT. He followed it with Target Eliminated (also known as ‘house call’ - a single-leg dropkick to the back of the head). Killshot covered him to get the pinfall victory.
WINNER : Killshot

He picked up Carrillo and rolled him into the ring. Super Crazy covered him but Carrillo kicked out, so he went up to the top rope. Andrade hopped onto the ring apron and tripped Super Crazy, causing him to get crotched on the top turnbuckle. Andrade pushed him down into a tree of woe position, went to the top rope and gave him a diving double foot stomp. He dragged Carrillo over to his corner, then went to the ring apron to receive the tag. When he hopped back into the ring, he ran across it, smashing Super Crazy in the face with double knees. He dragged him out of the corner and covered him for the 3-count.

FIRST ROUND TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIPS TOURNAMENT MATCH
The Super Friends: Fénix, Aero Star, and Drago
vs.
Legado del Fantasma: Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro
Aero Star went for a whip on Escobar, but he reversed it. Drago made the blind tag as Aero Star hit the ropes. He ducked a clothesline but then received a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Escobar covered, but there was no count. When he got up, Drago ran at him and executed a blockbuster. He went for the cover. Escobar kicked out. Drago sent him into the corner. He charged in and got a boot to the face. Escobar hopped onto the middle turnbuckle and executed a tornado DDT. Both men crawled to their corners and made the hot tags.
Fénix and Del Toro met in the middle of the ring, throwing open palm strikes at one another. Fénix whipped Del Toro into the corner. He went through the ropes and spun himself onto the ring apron, from where he went for a springboard attack that Fénix countered with a codebreaker. He went for the cover but Wilde grabbed him by the foot and dragged him off his partner. Aero Star ran at him and gave him a front dropkick that sent him out of the ring, then took him out with a bullet tope suicida.
Fénix tagged out to Drago, who attempted a diving hurricanrana, but Del Toro countered it with a powerbomb then tagged in Escobar. He ran in and hit Drago with a knee lift to the chest as he was getting up and followed it with a reverse DDT. Then, he went to the top rope and executed a frog splash. He stuck the landing and covered him with a lateral press. Fénix attempted to enter the ring but Del Toro had come around the ring and yanked him to the floor. Drago managed to kick out but then Escobar gave him the Thrill of the Hunt to get the three count.
WINNERS : Legado del Fantasma

Penta El 0M, holder of the Gift of the Gods, came to the ring and got on the mic. He said that he had one goal and one goal only - to win the Lucha Underground Championship. With the Gift of the Gods in his possession, he is poised to do just that. He could give it to Dario Cueto and force a title match next week, but he isn’t going to do that. Not yet. He’s heard rumblings in the locker room that he doesn’t deserve it, that he didn’t earn it. They say because he didn’t compete in a match for one of the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions that together form the Gift of the Gods, he isn’t its rightful owner.
To that point, Penta said that he would defend the Gift of the Gods against every participant in the Ultima Lucha GIft of the Gods ladder match at Ultima Lucha Cuatro to prove he deserves it. He will go through all them, and then - and only then - will he use it to get his match with Prince Puma and beat him for the Lucha Underground Championship. Now, he is going to start defending it right here, right now. Bring on the first challenger - any one of them - because he is Penta El 0M and he has ”Cero Miedo!”

MATCH FOR THE GIFT OF THE GODS
Penta El 0M vs. Dr. Wagner Jr.
Penta El 0M and Dr. Wagner Jr. were slapping the crap out of each other with open-palm strikes until finally Pentagon turned Wagner around with one. Then he grabbed him in a rear waist lock and executed a release German suplex. Penta went to the top turnbuckle. He went for a diving double foot stomp, but Wagner rolled out of the way. Pentagon landed on his feet and did a somersault roll through. He turned around to find Wager charging at him and threw him upside down into the turnbuckles with an overhead belly-to-belly toss. He dragged him out of the corner and went for the cover. Wagner kicked out. Penta climbed the turnbuckles again. This time, Wagner got up and tripped him up, then went to the middle rope, from where he punched at Pentagon, gave him a head butt, and executed a frankensteiner. He went for the pin but Pentagon kicked out.
Wagner picked up Penta and lifted him up for a powerbomb but Penta countered with a hurricanrana. After a pair of sling blades, Penta gave him a superkick, then climbed onto the second rope and executed the Mexican Destroyer. He made the pin, but Wagner got a shoulder up. Penta then picked him up and executed a package piledriver and pinned his shoulders down with his feet for the 3-count to retain the Gift of the Gods. After the match, Penta grabbed Wagner by the arm, twisted it around and snapped it backwards, presumably injuring the Doctor in the process. Before Penta left the ring, he looked into the camera and said, “One down, six to go.”
WINNER : Penta El 0M

The closing scene of this week’s show saw us enter the secret layer of the Reptile Tribe, replete with snake pits and other scaly green monsters crawling around the marble walls adorned with more gold accented and/or plated reptilian iconographic decor than one could possibly imagine. Sitting on a large golden throne, the shape of a king cobra’s head, is the tribal queen, herself Kobra Moon. As she sipped red wine from a large golden chalice, a masked reptilian luchador approached the throne to tell her that ”He has arrived.” She told him to let him in at once.
The large doors at the other end of the great room opened. A large, hooded figure was led into the room, through the shadows, to the foot of Kobra Moon’s throne. She welcomed the individual. She said the matter for which she called upon him was urgent. Not long ago, after Ultima Lucha Cuatro, the Reptile Tribe was officially sanctioned by the Aztec Tribal Council. It was cut off from tribal council funds, had its voting rights revoked, and was removed from the council as punishment for making a power grab and waging war with other Aztec Tribal Council members.
No one makes fools of the Reptile Tribe and gets away with it. Kobra Moon has disposed of the Reptile Tribe’s disgraced former leader, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and is now working to bring honour and prestige back to the Reptile Tribe. She will build it back up to where it will be stronger and more powerful than ever before. And vengeance shall strike down all those who’ve wronged it.
“And that is where you come in.”
Kobra Moon told her loyal subject that she had a mission for him - and he was the best reptile for the job. He most go to the Temple in Boyle Heights, California, to slowly and methodically, punish all those who would stand in our way. She wants him to destroy all the luchadores until he becomes Lucha Underground Champion. Then, they will be in position to cease control of the Aztec Tribal Council and all others will be powerless to stop them.
At last, she wanted to know if he would accept his mission.
”My Viper, what are the voices inside your head telling you?”
He stepped into the firelight, removed his hood, and looked up at his queen.
”My queen, the only voice in my head right now is yours, telling me that it is time for me to become the ‘Lucha Killer.’”
