The nWo are in the ring. L.A. Knight challenges Bret Hart to a captain’s match prior to WarGames at Starrcade International. The leader of the Hart Foundation against the leader of the nWo. Knight will even put the WCW Wild Card Title on the line if Hart lets him pick his own stipulation. Hart comes out alone and gets in the ring.
“I’m not afraid of you Knight and I’m not afraid of the nWo. You can take that shirt you’re still holding for me and cram it up your ass. It won’t be the first time you’ve had something up there.”
That line draws a crowd reaction, but Knight just still stands there smiling. Hart continues. “I’ll get in the ring with you tonight. You put that title on the line and call any damn stipulation you want.”
Knight retorts. “It’s going to be a special referee match and that special guest referee is going to be…Hulk Hogan.”
Hart tries to not let anything show, but he seems a bit annoyed by that call. Knight says, “I don’t even care if I lose the belt back to you tonight, Bret. Because, if I do, you’ll have to thank Hogan for it and I know that will hurt you more than me beating you in the center of the ring and that’s just a fact of life.”
Hart exits.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts is in the ring with a coffin looking box. “Brian Pillman, tonight I give you lesson number five. It’s the simplest one yet. It’s never trust a snake. I told you last week to not worry about me, worry about yourself. And what did you do? You said, ‘fine, Jake, whatever you want to do Jake, I just want to get you in that ring one more time.’ I promised no tricks, well, to me this is a treat. You said the match can be whatever I want. Well, it’s going to be the second ever snake pit match.”
Jake lifts the lid to show a bunch of crawling snakes inside. “You throw your opponent in and close the lid. The first match I tossed my own brother, Sam Houston, inside and snapped the lid shut. If I’d do that to my own brother, imagine what I’d do to you. Hell, I’ll throw in a bonus lesson for you tonight, Brian. Lesson six, never give somebody else the power over you, because they will abuse it.”

If the match goes five minutes, that’s $5,000. If it goes 10 minutes that’s $10,000. Magnum laughs, says he doesn’t need the money and he’s still going to end Jericho as quick as he can.

Steve Austin and Perfectly Wonderful are on the interview stage with SoCal Val. Austin says everybody in the arena and everybody watching at home aren’t just looking at the best the UWA has to offer, but also the best damn looking. People have asked Austin if he’s scared Rhodes will mar his pretty face in the bull rope match at Starrcade International. Austin said Rhodes won’t get the chance. Hennig and Orndorff then both talk crap on Harlem Heat. They swoop in out of nowhere and jump to the front of the line for a tag team title shot. Perfectly Wonderful is letting that happen only to shut them up and prove everything Col. Robert Fuller says is true. They are the best tag team he’s ever managed, they’re the best tag team in WCW, they’re the best tag team in the UWA and the best tag team ever.

With the power of the Warrior and the athletic prowess of the Ultimate Olympian, the outcome of our match is unquestioned.”
