Shane McMahon cuts a promo in the ring about WCW being in Australia and how Starrcade International will be on Dec. 24 in Sydney.
“Stunning” Steve Austin leads the Stud Stable to the ring. They’ve got the gold, so they make the rules. Austin chews out the crowd a bit and a Dusty chant starts and he tells them to shut up. McMahon books Austin and Roode vs. Rhodes and Aldis for the main event.

L.A. Knight is rallying the nWo troops in the dressing room. He mentions how the Hart Foundation aren’t at full strength on the Australia tour as Bruce and Keith Hart had visa trouble and couldn’t come in. Knight’s going to put the WCW Wild Card Title on the line tonight in a hardcore match against Jim Neidhart.

One Man Gang with “Number One” Paul Jones squashes Outback Jack at 2:43 via pinfall with a 747 Splash. He delivers three more until Jones waves him off. Jack is stretchered off.

“The Model” Rick Martel and Asuka defeated “Lethal Weapon” Steve Blackman and Tamina Snuka of the security team by pinfall of Asuka on Snuka via a spin kick at 7:11. Austin Idol watches from the entrance stage and cheers Asuka while she’s in, but boos Martel. Rick doesn’t look happy.

“The Ultimate Olympian” Kurt Angle is on the interview stage with SoCal Val and gives a much more Ultimate Warrior sounding promo this week on Brian Cage of AEW, who he’ll face at Starrcade International for the AEW International Title. “Brian Cage, you live in a cage of your own making. A cage that confines your mind, body and soul. But I’m free of all constraints thanks to me finally defeating the Ultimate Warrior and earning the favor of the Warrior Gods. I’m not only America’s favorite son, but I’m also Parts Unknown’s favorite son and I believe that’s somewhere here in Australia. Cage will face the ultimate defeat at the hands of the Ultimate Olympian at Starrcade International.”

The Rock ‘n Roll Express of Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson are in the ring and demand challengers for the WCW U.S. Tag Team Titles as they asked for in a Thunder promo last week. “Number One” Paul Jones marched the returning Powers of Pain of Barbarian and Warlord to the ring.
The heels are brutal and beat up on Ricky Morton for most of the match, until Morton leapfrogs over Warlord on a backdrop try and tags Gibson. He’s on fire for a moment, but Jones nails Gibson in the back with his cane from the floor while the referee is distracted. Gibson is pinned by Barbarian after a double back elbow and double elbow drop. We have new champs at 7:49.

Dusty Rhodes and Nick Aldis are with SoCal Val on the interview stage. Rhodes call James a jezebel and tells Austin we’ll see who the real Texican is at Starrcade International in the Texas Bullrope Match for the WCW World Heavyweight Title. Aldis talks crap on Roode and his estranged wife. They bring out Madusa, who will keep an eye on James at ringside. Rhodes says Madusa is a big, bad mama and he’s glad she’s on their side tonight.

L.A. Knight retains the WCW Wild Card Title by pinfall over Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart in a hardcore match via a Gravy Train onto a metal trash can at 8:50. Killer Kross and Will Hobbs interfered, which drew out Owen and Bret to drive them off.

SoCal Val has Wendi Richter on the interview stage. The WCW Women’s Champion thought she was done with Charlotte Flair after beating her twice, but maybe the third time will be the charm. She admits Flair has earned another shot after beating Thunder Rosa at Capital Combat and Rhea Ripley on Nitro last week. But beating the rest, doesn’t make her the best. Beating Richter finally will. Flair then runs out and tries to spear Richter, but she sidesteps her and Flair flies off the other side of the stage. Flair seethes on the floor as Richter walks off waving to the crowd all smiles.

The Snake Pit (Jake Roberts, Copperhead and Black Mamba) defeated Brian Pillman Sr. and the Armstrong Brothers (Scott and Steve) by pinfall of Roberts on Steve via DDT at 10:20. Commentary gets over how Pillman has been friends with the Armstrong family since first breaking into the original WCW with Brad Armstrong. The heels do a post match beatdown and Roberts tells Pillman lesson three is to be careful who you ally with. Not only can people easily turn on you in the world of professional wrestling, but they can also just plain let you down.

“The Rocket” Owen Hart defeated “Killer” Kevin Kross with Maria Kannellis-Bennett by pinfall via a diving splash at 11:10. Will Hobbs came out, and Bret Hart appeared, but Hulk Hogan blows past Bret to fight with Hobbs. Bret looks ticked at Hogan getting involved, but his presence at ringside prevents Maria from interfering. Commentators mention how Hogan and Hobbs have unfinished business from the cage match between Knight and Bret at Halloween Havoc.

In the back, Hobbs and Hogan have been separated. Hogan cuts a quick promo to camera about how he wants to get himself reinstated and when he does, Will Hobbs will be target number one for the newest chapter of Hulkamania.

Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart are talking backstage. Bret asks why Hogan ran out during the Owen vs. Kross match, but not for Knight vs. Neidhart. Hogan knew Owen and Bret had that in hand, but Bret needed some help against that stinky Will Hobbs by himself and Hogan was happy to oblige. Hogan also gives his regrets that Brad and Kenneth couldn’t make it here to Austria. Bret asks if he means Bruce and Keith here in Australia. Yeah, that too. Bret just walks off in disgust.

Chiseled and Grizzled (“The Man with the Hands of Stone” Ronnie Garvin and “Grizzled” Sam Houston) defeated the New Blue Bloods (Squire David Taylor and Sir Charlie Dempsey) by pinfall of Garvin on Dempsey via Stonecutter at 8:03. Post match, Garvin challenges the new U.S. Tag Team Champions of the Powers of Pain to a match next week on Nitro.

“The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and “National Treasure” Nick Aldis with Madusa Micelli defeated “Stunning” Steve Austin and “Glorious” Bobby Roode with Mickie James by pinfall of Rhodes on Roode via Bionic Elbow at 14:21. James gets on the apron at one point and Madusa pulls her off by her tights, exposing her butt to the crowd. Austin uses the title belt to deck Rhodes after the bout and walks off holding it high.
