AEW Dynamite
Nov. 29, 2023
Full Gear recapThe show starts off with “Are you Ready?” and Triple H and the New Age Outlaws drove out onto the stage in a tank to a huge ovation. After the usual opening catchphrases, Triple H grabs the mic and says DX is here in AEW to have a little fun, to entertain the fans and…he’s cut off by Natural Selection, featuring the new and 2-time AEW Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander, AEW International Champion Brian Cage, and their manager Cesar Duran.
Duran says they are tired of Tony Khan and All Elite Wrestling’s constant pandering to the past. The aged trio in the ring is living on past decades’ successes. While his trio shows that Natural Selection is indeed alive and well. The team enters the ring and each wrestler gets nose-to-nose. Triple H says he wasn’t going to fight tonight, but might be open to an International Championship match. Cage sneers, but backs away. Triple H - “I guess when you said you would defend against all comers, you didn’t mean the biggest comer of them all, eh?”
Duran says the match would be on if Cage wasn’t already contracted to face Kurt Angle at WCW’s Starrcade next month. Triple H laughs, and says he’s here whenever Cage is ready. Until then, Natural Selection can “suck it.”

AEW World Champion Cody Rhodes gives a promo putting over Goldberg and says they’ve had a helluva year. He doesn’t know what is next for the American Nightmare…until the lights go out. When they come back on, Malakai Black is in the ring, standing over a laid-out Cody Rhodes. He picks up the championship belt and stares at it for a moment before tossing it down and walking up the ramp. Cody sits up as Malakai gets to the top of the ramp and turns around. They stare at each other as we cut to commercial.

DX is walking through the back when they come face-to-face with LAX. Hernandez gets in Triple H’s face while Konnan talks. He says there isn’t room in AEW for backstage shenanigans and he can see through Triple H’s current facade. He knows it’s only a matter of time until DX shows their true colors with a power grab. Triple H says that LAX is just who they’ve been looking for. If they want to shut them up, why don’t they have a match…tonight?
Konnan begs off the idea of a six-man, but says That Homicide and Hernandez are itching for a fight tonight. They can put the New Age Outlaws in their place. And the match is set.

Main Event - New Age Outlaws (0-0) w/ Triple H vs. LAX (9-8) w/ Konnan
The Outlaws and LAX exchange signature moves while Triple H and Konnan jaw on the outside. After about 7 minutes, Jeff Jarrett unexpectedly comes from backstage in a full sprint. Wardlow is on his heels. Jarrett slides into the ring to find himself between Gunn and Hernandez. Wardlow slides in and Jarrett hides behind Hernandez. Wardlow explodes with an uppercut on Gunn, then starts exchanging blows with Hernandez while Jarrett slips out and runs away. Wardlow clotheslines Hernandez over the top rope and yells that this isn’t his fight.
Homicide rushes him and catches a boot before rolling out of the ring. Konnan collects him, and LAX scatters to the back. Jesse James rushes toward Wardlow, who hits him with a giant spinebuster as Triple H enters the ring. He stands nose to nose with Wardlow and tells the big man to settle down. Wardlow responds with a punch! The two exchange blows in the ring! Wardlow whips Triple H to the ropes, but Triple H counters a move with a signture knee lift. He goes for the Pedigree! But Wardlow stands up and flips Triple H over the top rope to the floor. Wardlow stands alone in the ring as the show comes to an end.
