This show was taped on Thursday, August 3rd from the SCS Studio. The show begins with the opening montage set to the new theme for the show "Say Amen (Saturday Night)" by Panic! at the Disco.
Kevin Kelly and Corey Graves are our commentary team for the evening. They welcome us to the show. We then head to the ring, where Mike Rome is ready to announce our first competitors of the evening.
Darby Allin vs. Tony Deppen
Allin was making his debut here. Deppen is a member of VLNCE UNLTD, and is maybe the most intense member of the group. Deppen brought the fire, but Allin showed he could take a shot and keep on kicking. VLNCE UNLTD's other two members, Brody King and Chris Dickinson, attempted to get involved, but out came Los Ingobernales to cut them off. Allin would manage to catch a distracted Deppen with a Crucifix Bomb, and then came off the top with the Coffin Drop to get the pinfall.
Winner: Darby Allin
Notable Moments and Observations
• Allin seemed to really connect with the crowd and could be a star in the future.
• Los Ingobernales and VLNCE UNLTD fought off to the back, as this issue continues to burn hot between the two factions.
Adam Pearce Has Some Announcements
Adam Pearce has a pre-taped promo and starts by announcing the next PLE on Paramount Plus, Bad Blood. The event will take place on Saturday, August 26th from the Oakland Arena in Oakland, CA. He said that the event will be main evented by Buddy Matthews defending his Premier Championship in a rematch with "Switchblade" Jay White.
He then addressed the Paramount Title situation. He said Jay Lethal called for a match with Shinsuke Nakamura, but he has since been bombarded with requests for title shots tonight. He said that they will be holding a mini-tournament to decide the next challenger that will start tonight with Johnny Gargano taking on Ethan Page, and Jay Lethal facing off with Drew Gulak.
The Natural Born Killers Attempt to Cut the Dead Weight, but Dijak Will Not Be Ignored
Backstage, interviewer Blake Howard is standing in with "Switchblade" Jay White and "The American Psycho" Lance Archer. Blake asks White why they abandoned Chris Dijak last week in the main event six man tag team match, and White laughed.
Chris Dijak enters the frame with a chair, and he's swinging for the fences! He first takes down Archer, and then grabs White by the neck and throws him into the wall! Archer tackles Dijak into the wall, and the two big men start blasting each other. It takes every official and security guard in the building to pull Dijak and Archer apart, who are ripping and clawing and yelling at each other.
We then head back to ringside, where Kevin and Corey try to digest what they just heard and saw.
TMDK vs. TNT
Shane Thorne and Mikey Nicholls have been wrapped up in Buddy Matthews's business here lately, but it felt like they were making a shift now to take care of business of their own. They were taking on the team of Matt Taven and Rhett Titus here, and were able to make pretty short work of the heels, delivering the Thunder Valley to Titus to get the pinfall.
Winners: TMDK
Notable Moments and Observations
• Mikey Nicholls gets on the mic after the match and says he heard Pete Dunne calling for a challenge to British Strong Style's Tag Team Titles. He said TMDK are ready to take the straps off 'em at Bad Blood!
• Buddy Matthews was on commentary during the match hyping up his upcoming match with Jay White at Bad Blood, as well as his partners in TMDK.
CM Punk Is Set to Wrestle The Invisible Man
We go backstage, where CM Punk is standing in with Blake Howard. Blake asks Punk how he's feeling heading into his match tonight with John Morrison.
Punk slaps Blake on the shoulder and walks off, and we head back to the ring.
Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Charlie Dempsey
We had two British technicians here showing off their skills in a short, fun match up, with Dempsey utilizing heelish tactics in line with that of his father, William Regal. Dempsey would pull the hair, thumb the eyes, and grab the tights of Sabre, but Sabre would keep his composure and eventually rally and roll up Dempsey for a three count.
Winner: Zack Sabre Jr.
Notable Moments and Observations
• Sabre grabs the microphone and says he and Timothy Thatcher got into it yet again during the Paramount Title Battle Royale last week, and it potentially cost them both the championship. He said he's ready to settle this once and for all, and Thatcher next week in a two out of three falls match!
Ricochet Has No Love for "Swerve" or Grimes
Ricochet walks out onto the stage and says "Swerve" got lucky cause a little bitch named Cameron Grimes came out and cost him the match last week. He said that X Division title belongs to him, and "Swerve" is carrying stolen property. He said Grimes wants to stick his nose in his business, he can catch another beatdown, and he won't be so nice this time. He said "Swerve" better give him his rematch, or he'll catch one too.
Johnny Gargano vs. Ethan Page
Gargano and Page are very familiar with one another, having come up feuding on the independents for years before breaking in mainstream wrestling. Page was not happy about Gargano eliminating him from the Paramount Title Battle Royale last week, and made sure Gargano got eliminated shortly after. These two would have a pretty hot match, with "All Ego" giving Gargano as much verbal abuse as he did physical, but Gargano would not stay down. Page would go for the Ego's Edge, but Gargano would slip out of it and over the ropes to apron. Gargano would attempt a high kick, but Page blocked it, leading Gargano to deliver a shoulder block and then hit the One Final Beat DDT, and that ended it. Gargano gets the pinfall!
Winner: Johnny Gargano
Notable Moments and Observations
• Gargano looked good, and will now go on to face the winner of Jay Lethal and Drew Gulak next week.
Catching Up with CatchPoint
We are backstage with Drew Gulak, Timothy Thatcher, and Oney Lorcan. Gulak says Nakamura pulled a cheap move to win the Battle Royale, and now he's going to stretch and punish Jay Lethal and Johnny Gargano to get his shot at redemption! He said he knows Jay Lethal is obsessed with being a champion, but he can get in line, but it's Drew Gulak's time! Timothy Thatcher then accepts Zack Sabre's challeng to a two out of three falls match next week, and said he's going to enjoy getting to make him squeal in pain and submit not once, but twice! Oney Lorcan said he put out the challenge to Ilja Dragunov for a rematch, and he wants it at Bad Blood! He said Ilja calls himself "The Mad Dragon", but he just seems like the "Scared Pussy" to him, and he wants him in that ring for 30 minutes!
Notable Moments and Observations
• These guys were fired up. Hopefully we will hear from Ilja Dragunov soon about the rematch, as he and Lorcan had maybe the match of the night at Extreme Heat.
Cameron Grimes vs. Trey Miguel
Trey Miguel is a member of MSK, and he had his partners out there with him tonight. They would antagonize Grimes throughout, who would throw temper tantrums and yell at them to shut up, to no avail. Grimes would show his power advantage by catching Miguel in mid-hurricanrana and delivering a Powerbomb Backbreaker to turn the tides. Grimes would mock MSK's under the chin finger wave and then deliver the Cave-In to Miguel to get the three count.
Winner: Cameron Grimes
Notable Moments and Observations
• Grimes got on the microphone and said Ricochet ain't beatin' anybody, and he sure as hell couldn't win a fight with Cameron Grimes! He said he rolled him up and now he thinks he's a somebody, but he couldn't beat "Swerve" and he sure as hell couldn't beat Cameron Grimes again!
• Shane Strickland comes out with his X Division title over his shoulder, and the crowd give him a pretty positive reaction. "Swerve" says he didn't want or need Cameron Grimes's help to beat Ricochet last week, and now that fool thinks he actually had a chance of winning. "Swerve" says he's going to set the record straight at Bad Blood, cause he's putting the hit out on both of them in one night.
• To interpret the parlance of "Swerve", we've got ourselves a Triangle Match at Bad Blood for the X Division title.
Jay Lethal vs. Drew Gulak
Gulak would send Thatcher and Lorcan to the back from the entry way, as he said he can handle Lethal all by himself. Lethal similarly sent The Foundation to the back after they huddled and talked strategy at ringside before the match. The match itself was very hard fought, as both men came into this with a chip on their shoulder, and they wanted to truly prove they were the best. Gulak would work the left leg of Lethal throughout, and would try to submit him numerous times, but Lethal showed a lot of heart tonight. Lethal was unable to perform the Lethal Injection due to his leg being injured, and also hurt himself delivering the first part of the Lethal Combination, so Corey Graves was wondering how he might hope to finish off Gulak. Gulak would lock on a Stretch Muffler near the end, but Lethal would manage to make it to the ropes. Gulak would lift Lethal for a Belly-to-Back maneuver, but Lethal would reverse it into a Reverse DDT! Lethal would then attempt to lock on a Figure Four, but Gulak rolled him up with a Small Package... but Lethal would reverse it and shift Gulak's shoulders to the mat, and referee Chris Sharpe made the three count!
Winner: Jay Lethal
Notable Moments and Observations
• This was an outstanding match that had the fans on the edge of their seats, with Lethal doing a great job of selling the leg injury.
• Lethal is now going to be facing Johnny Gargano next week to decide who will be the first to challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the Paramount Title.
Lance Archer is Going Full Psycho
We catch up with Lance Archer, who has been escorted to the parking lot by security. Archer punches out a car window and backs off security. He then walks over and grabs the camera and yells into it that Dijak is a dead man!
We go back to ringside, where Corey Graves remarks that he wouldn't want to be Chris Dijak right now. Kevin Kelly agrees, and it's time for our main event.
CM Punk vs. John Morrison
Punk and Morrison have a stare down before the match, and Morrison spits right in Punk's face! Punk is in disbelief for a moment, wiping his face off, and Morrison takes the opportunity to strike. Morrison controls the early part of the match, punishing Punk and mocking him while he did it. Punk would make a comeback, reversing an Irish Whip to the corner and delivering a High Knee, followed by a Bulldog to change the momentum. Punk would earn a couple of near falls on Morrison from there, causing John to powder to the outside to try to get some relief. Punk would follow despite referee Dan Engler trying to keep him in the ring, and Morrison would use one of the tablets on the commentary team's table to smack Punk over the head! Back in the ring, Morrison would hit a Springboard Roundhouse Kick off the middle rope, but only a two count! Morrison would lift Punk up and attempt the Moonlight Drive, but Punk would reverse it into a Backslide for a two. Punk would then unload with a flurry of open hand strikes, and went for a high Roundhouse Kick, but Morrison would pull Engler into the line of fire, causing Punk to kick the referee in the head! Morrison would then roll out of the ring and grab a chair. Punk would check on Engler for about five to six seconds and then turn his attention to Morrison. Morrison had his back to the ring and Punk would reach through the ropes for him, allowing John to turn and smack him over the head with the chair! Back in the ring, Morrison would hit Punk again over the head with the chair, and now Engler is calling for the bell from the mat. Punk gets the disqualification win, but Morrison isn't done.
Winner (by DQ): CM Punk
Notable Moments and Observations

• Corey Graves points out how Punk's neck just got crushed against the steel, as Morrison stands over his fallen body with a sick smile. Morrison then looks to the crowd and points down at Punk laughing. He then raises his arms and says, "I'M THE BEST IN THE WORLD, AND I ALWAYS WAS!" The crowd are booing and chanting, "JOHNNY SUCKS!" as the show comes to an end.
This show was taped on Thursday, August 3rd from the SCS Studio. The show begins with the opening montage set to the new theme for the show "Say Amen (Saturday Night)" by Panic! at the Disco.

Backstage, interviewer Blake Howard is standing in with "Switchblade" Jay White and "The American Psycho" Lance Archer. Blake asks White why they abandoned Chris Dijak last week in the main event six man tag team match, and White laughed.
Jay White:
"Blake, are you daft? A little slow? Isn't it obvious why we did what we did? Isn't it obvious that ever since I started teaming with Dijak, he's clearly been the weak link in the team? I mean, look at Extreme Heat, look who took the fall there. You see, everybody thinks I just grabbed him up and made him team with me to do my bidding, but you've got to ask yourselves, what was in it for him? He was using me just as much as I was using him to be relevant, but, unfortunately, his usefulness had expired. He tried to use Jay White to stay in the title picture, but now the 'Switchblade' has had to cut him out. Now, I have a man just a dangerous and driven as I am, two Natural Born Killers ready to take down anyone who stands in our way. We cut off the dead weight, and now we are ready to take do-"

We go backstage, where CM Punk is standing in with Blake Howard. Blake asks Punk how he's feeling heading into his match tonight with John Morrison.
CM Punk:
"Blake, I've known Johnny Nitro, John Morrison, John Hennigan, whoever the hell he is this week, for a very long time. And he knows I've had his number, and it eats him alive. That's why he came out last week and interrupted me. The last time John Morrison was ever relevant was when he was in the ring with CM Punk. Hell, John Cena used to go around saying, 'You can't see me', but maybe Morrison should've lifted that catchphrase, because without CM Punk, he might as well be The Invisible Man. Now, John, I know you think somehow it's my fault you didn't become the biggest star in the business, but the fact of the matter is, you're always going to be the less talented half of MNM and the B-side in a CM Punk match. And even if I'm not 'The Best in the World' anymore... I'm always going to be better than John Morrison."
