Dusty Rhodes appears in a pre-taped promo. He applauds Sam Houston for stepping up and helping Ronnie Garvin on the last Nitro. He wasn’t available and he should have known those dastardly Garvins would have taken advantage of that. And, Magnum TA, don’t think the American Dream has forgotten about you. Rhodes has more allies than he knows and Rhodes will shut his mouth with a Bionic Elbow and then put him to sleep with the Weaver Lock coming up. But, first, he must defeat Hulk Hogan at Clash of the Champions and advance to the Elimination Chamber at Phoenix Rising

The Blue Bloods (Sir William Regal and Squire David Taylor) enter the ring and run down the crowd as heathens and ruffians. Regal says they’ve come to WCW to introduce taste, elegance and real wrestling acumen. So, who will be their first victims? Out come the also debuting Southern Boys (Steve Armstrong and Tracy Smothers) whooping and hollering. Regal looks aghast.
The Southern Boys defeated the Blue Bloods by pinfall of Smothers on Regal via a double superkick at 12:21. The faces started really hot, but the heels took control and worked Armstrong over as the face in peril. Regal worked an abdominal stretch with Taylor offering leverage from his corner. Referee Tommy Young eventually sees this and kicks Taylor’s arm away. Regal is off balance and Armstrong hip tosses out. Hot tag to Smothers, who cleans house and that leads to the finish.
