The Nitro Girls dance to open the program. Gorilla Monsoon and Don Callis welcome everybody to the show and do a review of previously announced matches. It’s such a packed show, we’re going straight to the first match.
-----
“The Queen” Charlotte flair defeated “The Lone Horsewoman” Tessa Blanchard and Kamille Kaine in a triple threat match for a shot at the WCW Women’s Title at Slamboree. Blanchard goes up top for the Magnum on Charlotte, but Kaine shakes the ropes so Blanchard crotches herself. Kamille goes for a superplex, but Tessa blocks. Flair then comes underneath for a Tower of Doom spot. Natural Selection on Kaine and Flair puts her feet on the ropes for a pinfall victory at 17:40. (This had a 20 minute time limit because it was a triple threat, instead of the standard 15 minute time limit for television matches)

Hulk Hogan leads the nWo to the ring. “The Miracle Workers still have the WCW U.S. Tag Team Titles, jack. The Jock Itch and Mold Express couldn’t stand up to them last week and Little Ricky Morton won’t be able to take the 24-inch pythons this week, brother. Me facing Morton is almost as degrading as humoring Kevin Owens with an empty arena match at Slamboree, brother. The nWo is back, jack, and WCW will crumble and fall just like it did before. There’s nothing Shane McMahon, Little Ricky Morton, Slobbering Robert Gibson or Owen Kevins can do to stop that, brother.”
Finally, the RnR and Owens run to the ring. Gibson and Owens run Bennett, Drake and Kross to the back and the match between Morton and Hogan gets a hot start.
-----
“Hollywood” Hulk Hogan with Maria Kannellis-Bennett defeated Ricky Morton by pinfall via big boot and leg drop at 7:45. Hogan fakes a leg injury at one point to distract the referee so Maria can jump on the apron and spray Morton with the hairspray in her purse. But, have you seen Morton’s hair? He’s immune to a little hairspray in the eyes. Morton kisses Maria, but Hogan scores a back rake from behind. Thumb to the eye is shielded from Referee Joey Marella. Back suplex and Hogan wins with the usual.

“Superstar” Billy Graham defeated “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig by pinfall via Slapjack Slam at 8:54. Graham pitches Hennig to the floor and jaws at referee Aubrey Edwards. Jake Roberts then slithers out from underneath the ring apron and gives a DDT on the floor to Hennig. Graham goes to get him. He slams Hennig on the ring steps for good measure, rolls him into the ring and finishes with the Slapjack.
Jake Roberts comes back from underneath the ring after the bell and gets in the ring. Before Edwards can figure out what’s going on, she’s scared off by Damian. Roberts drapes Damian on Hennig, but Randy Savage with a chair runs in for the save.
-----
The camera backstage catches Tessa Blanchard and Kamille Kaine arguing. Each blame the other for the loss in the triple threat match to start the show. Kaine shoves Blanchard. Blanchard shoves back. They start fighting and are broken up by security, led by Steve Blackman.

SoCal Val has Davey Boy Smith on the interview stage. He announced that Tyson Kidd is gone from WCW. His son, Harry Smith, wants to be a lone wolf. Doesn’t need his dad anymore, fine. Then he doesn’t need anybody and he made sure Tyson Kidd got shipped out on the first train smoking for parts unknown. Val asks where Harry is tonight. Davey Boy says probably crying in a corner somewhere. Harry comes out. He knows Tyson Kidd is gone and is going to somewhere else in the UWA where he can have a better opportunity than being under the Smith family thumb in WCW. As for his dad, he shouldn’t be worrying about Harry tonight, but his match with Dusty Rhodes.
-----
“Macho Man” Randy Savage defeated “The Expatriate” Del Wilkes with Col. Robert Fuller by pinfall via top rope elbow smash at 7:50. Paul Orndorff walked out to the entrance stage as a distraction, but it didn’t faze Savage at all. After the match, Savage grabs his Money in the Bank briefcase from ringside, points at it and then points at Orndorff, signifying he’s coming for him at Slamboree.
Thunder Rosa meets up with Nick Aldis in the back. Rosa tells Aldis he better not screw her and he better have his head in this match. Aldis said she needn’t worry. Rosa tells Aldis he acts like he’s above it all, but he better get his house in order. There’s a wolf at his door and he’s there for Nick’s wife. Aldis just glowers at her and then says they better head to the ring.

SoCal Val has Brian Pillman Sr. on the interview stage. He’s happy to see Kurt Angle focused, mad and baldly (pun intended) proclaiming that he’s coming for Pillman and his gold medal at Slamboree. Angle is a great athlete and wrestler, but the problem is that he’s doesn’t think the same of Pillman and he’s not a man to underestimate. Val then asks about the match with Steve Austin later on. Pillman is facing his former tag team partner and he knows Austin won’t take him lightly.
-----
Rick Martel and Mickie James defeated “National Treasure” Nick Aldis and Thunder Rosa by pinfall of Martel on Rosa via a small package with a tights pull at 10:12. Aldis and James finally tag in on each other. Aldis refuses to fight his wife. But she slaps him, gives him a Mick-Kick and a MickDDT and almost gets the three count. Aldis tags Rosa as he rolls to the floor. James tags Martel and goes to the floor for a screaming match with her husband. Rosa takes it to Martel, but he’s able to block a Tornado DDT and takes Rosa to the mat for the finish.
Martel goes to the floor after the bell to stand up for Mickie. Rosa then does a suicide dive out onto everybody.

SoCal Val has Magnum TA on the interview stage. He’s glad to get Dusty Rhodes at Slamboree and expose him for the grandstanding blowhard he really is. Magnum hooked his wagon to Rhodes to get somewhere in the wrestling business, but when it was time for him to stand on his own, Rhodes couldn’t let it happen. Since he refused to step back, Magnum will beat him down.
-----
“Flyin’” Brian Pillman defeated “Stunning” Steve Austin by countout after a restart at 13:20 total time. Austin pulls something out of his tights and nails Pillman in the face with it as he’s lifted for a back suplex. Austin falls on top for the victory, but Eddie Gurrero runs out and tells referee Tommy Young what happened. Austin denies it, but Guerrero goes into Austin’s tights himself and removes the foreign object. Young orders a restart, but Austin says screw that and takes a walk.

SoCal Val tries to catch up with Steve Austin in the back. He’s pissed at Eddie Guerrero who better keep his nose out of Austin’s business. Eddie bullied his way into a no disqualification and no count out match at Slamboree. Good. That means Austin can use any weapons he wants and beat Guerrero from one end of the arena to the other and there’s no crying of cheating or technicalities. Guerrero started something Austin will finish.
-----
“The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes defeated Davey Boy Smith by submission via Weaver Lock at 9:03. Magnum TA appears and tries to walk down to ringside, but Harry Smith comes through the crowd and blocks him. Magnum just smirks and walks off. Dusty slips out of the running powerslam into the Weaver Lock and uses his bulk to just ride Smith and weigh him down.
Shane McMahon announces the main event for the next Nitro as a WCW World Tag Team Titles Match between the New Foundation of Owen Hart and Jim Neighart and The Stud Stable of Del Wilkes and Tom Magee. This keeps McMahon’s promise of title match main events.

Lady Frost retained the WCW Women’s Title over Tamina Snuka with “Number One” Paul Jones via Icepick DDT at 8:21. Jones tries to attack Frost after, but eats an Icepick DDT too. However, this allows Charlotte Flair to sneak out, steal the women’s title belt from ringside, and nail Frost in the head with it from behind. Flair yells about how the belt is still hers and she’ll take it back at Slamboree. She throws it onto Frost and walks off as we fade.
