We start off with The Apex in the ring. Jeff Jarrett complains that his UWA Championship match isn’t until next month, but he vows to weaken Chris Jericho at Fyter Fest next week. He turns to Beer Money and tells them they need to shape up and prove they’re worth their spot in the Apex — they have fallen short of their potential over the past year. They need to beat the Steiners tonight, and be on hand to help with Jericho next week. Storm and Roode look offended, but Jarrett just tells them to prove they belong.
—
Match 1 - Steiner Bros. (11-3) vs. Beer Money (4-4)
The Steiners’ power matches up well with Beer Money’s speed and the two legendary tag teams go hard for 18 minutes of back-and-forth action. Roode hits Rick with a low blow in front of the ref, but the Steiners ask for the match to continue — they want to beat Beer Money cleanly. Storm is tagged in and misses a superkick; Rick gets the tag to his brother, who runs roughshod over Beer Money and scores the pinfall at 18:58. While the Steiners walk up the ramp, the Outsiders appear and attack the brothers with chairs!
Scott Hall grabs a mic - “Survey says that your time is almost over, Steiner buddies. The Outsiders want to get their win back.”
—
Matt Riddle, Jeff Cobb and Gable Steveson are in the locker room playing Uno.
Riddle - “We’ve got to win this tonight, guys. Jeffrey and I need to become tag team champions. And you, man…you almost had Samoa Joe. I think the third time will be the charm.” He plays a Draw 4 and says “Uno.” Cobb glares at him while he draws 4 and we cut to go back to the ring.
—
Match 2 - FTW Championship - Hook © (15-3) vs. Dustin Rhodes (1-4)
Hook defeats Rhodes with the REDRUM in 6:38. The competitors shake hands afterward. Samoa Joe storms out after the match and moves to attack Hook, but Rhodes steps in front of him, which earns Dustin a suplex. Hook jumps on Joe’s back to lock in the sleeper, but Joe slams him back into the turnbuckle. He locks in the coquina clutch, which brings out Taz. Joe lets go of the hold and rolls out of the ring. Taz checks on Hook and grabs a mic.
Taz - “Joe, you’ve taken what was purely a professional match and turned it into something personal. I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove here. You’re a man who doesn’t need to prove anything. Now I’m not going to just beat you and take your title — I’m going to destroy you.”
—
Rob Van Dam, Sabu and Dean Malenko are backstage. RVD says they might need to go a little bit extreme tonight to take the win.
—
Match 3 - Women’s Battle Royale for #1 contender
Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha Banks vs. Abadon vs. Tay Melo vs. Serena Deeb vs. Angelina Love vs. Riho vs. Michelle McCool vs. Willow Nightingale vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Paige VanZant vs. Ronda Rousey
Bliss and Abadon work together to eliminate Deeb, Riho and Banks, in a huge moment, until Phoenix goes after Bliss and yells at her to start making her own decision. Bliss slaps Phoenix, who turns and stumbles into a Twist of Hate from Abadon. VanZant eliminates Abadon by surprise, then Rousey attacks her. Bliss comes over and helps Rousey eliminate VanZant. Nightingale eliminates Love; Melo gets McCool out, then Nightingale eliminates Melo.
Final Four - Bliss, Phoenix, Rousey and Nightingale. While Rousey is working to toss Nightingale out, Phoenix sneaks up and eliminates both women. The match ends when Bliss clotheslines Phoenix over the top rope — but Phoenix grabs hold of Bliss on the way over, and pulls her out too! Both women hit the floor at the same time! Match time - 19:48.
—
After break, Bliss and Phoenix are standing in the ring, as Jade Cargill is on the ramp wearing both the UWA and AEW Championships over her shoulders. Tony Khan is also on the ramp.
Jade - “Tony, you know I’m a fighting champion. Hell, I’ve put both titles on the line every time I’ve stepped in the ring. It’s been all-or-nothing every time I’ve put on my boots. And still, I’m undefeated. It’s been more than a year, and nobody has pinned me, made me tap out, made me bleed or anything. I’ve dominated women all over the world. But I didn’t sign on for a triple threat match at Fyter Fest.”
Tony replies that she's right. She didn’t sign on for a triple threat match. So, instead of that, she’ll get to defend the titles in separate matches next week — the UWA Championship on Wednesday and AEW Championship on Friday. Cargill storms off, glaring at Tony and then Bliss and Phoenix. Tony says they’re going to do a coin flip to see which title each woman goes for. The toss falls for Bliss, who chooses the UWA Championship; Phoenix will face Cargill for the AEW Championship.
—
Match 4 - Rey Mysterio (4-1) vs. Raven (6-6)
Mysterio gets the win over Raven in 9:48 with the 619. He grabs the mic afterward and says that he’s loved his time so far in AEW and thanks the fans for welcoming him on this next chapter of his journey.
Sammy Guevara interrupts Rey and says that he is tired of watching Rey. He idolized Rey as a child, but it’s a joke that Rey was even in the Face of the Revolution match two months ago. Rey says that Sammy had his chance. Sammy says he made a mistake last time and got ahead of himself, but he wants one more chance to prove he’s the real face of any Revolution in AEW. Rey says he’s on.
—
We get a video package for Goldberg vs. MVP, showcasing MVP’s journey from ex-convict to challenging for the AEW Championship. They’ll have an in-ring showdown on Friday’s Rampage.
—
Natural Selection is backstage getting ready for their match. Cesar Duran says he’s glad that Tony Khan finally came to his senses. His trio is going to be ground the King of Trios, then move on to capture more gold at Double or Nothing.
—
King of Trios Semifinals: Natural Selection vs. RVD/Sabu/Malenko vs. Chosen Bros/Gable Steveson
During the Chosen Bros’ entrance, Natural Selection runs out and attacks. This brings out RVD, Sabu and Malenko as well. And the 9-man brawl is on outside the ring before the match even starts. Cage hits a Drill Claw on Riddle through the announce table, and Riddle gets carted to the back.
The match finally starts, as Cobb and Steveson are shorthanded. Natural Selection gets the win after 17:12 after Benjamin hits the T-Bone Suplex on Sabu for the pinfall victory.
Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks come out to the stage and stare down the Natural Selection trio as Dynamite comes to a close.

April 21, 2023
The show opens with MVP and Goldberg for their in-ring showdown. Goldberg says that MVP doesn’t belong in the same ring as him. MVP replies that he has scratched and clawed his way from the bottom to get to where he is today, and he has more heart than Goldberg.
Goldberg - “All the heart in the world won’t help when I spear you out of your boots.”
MVP reacted with a forearm to Goldberg’s face, and Goldberg hit him back. Before they could get more in contact, security intervened and separated them. Tony Khan came out to the stage and said that if they couldn’t wait until next week to hit each other, he’d give them the chance to do just that tonight! MVP will team up with Hook against Goldberg and Samoa Joe!
—
Match 1 - Big E vs. Robert Roode
Big E gets the win in 8:49 with the Big Ending. Storm tried to interfere in the match, but Kofi and Xavier chased him off.
—
Abadon and Alexa Bliss are backstage in a dimly lit room. Abadon tells Bliss that they’re plan is coming to fruition. Alexa just needs to do her job next against Cargill. Then the Darkness will consume all of UWA.
—
Match 2 - Madison Rayne (8-3) vs. Michelle McCool (5-7)
Rayne gets the win with a rollup at 7:10 with her legs on the ropes for leverage.
—
Jeff Jarrett is on his phone backstage. “I could really use some muscle. When can you get to the arena?...Uh-huh…okay, okay. We’ll see you next week.”
JBL and Shawn Spears walk by and ask Jarrett who he was talking to. He says that Beer Money is failing him, so he’s going to bring in some fresh blood. Jarrett and Spears walk off, while JBL looks on with worry on his face.
—
An old shed appears on the screen with construction sounds and screaming inside. “What’s he building in there?” appears on the screen, followed by the date of April 26.
—
Main Event - MVP and Hook vs. Goldberg and Samoa Joe
Hook and MVP work well together, while Goldberg and Joe keep getting in each other’s way. MVP hit a Playmaker on Joe, but Goldberg pulled him off the pin attempt. The match devolved into a brawl, but eventually Goldberg and Hook were the legal men in the ring, while Joe fought MVP on the outside. Goldberg hit a huge spear, followed by the Jackhammer for the pinfall victory in 10:48. He slid out of the ring and joined in on the MVP attack, until Taz intervened. Taz suplexed Goldberg, only to get tackled by Joe and locked in the Coquina Clutch.
Hook recovered at that point and launched himself over the top rope to break up the hold.
Goldberg got up and grabbed the AEW Championship and walked off, looking back the ramp for a final staredown with MVP as the show fades into a preview for next week’s Fyter Fest.
