In a backstage pre-tape, Bob Holly talks about how he’s tired of having opportunities given to him and then ripped out of his hands by others, whether that’s Paul Orndorff taking him out of the Terrific Tussle or Crash Holly taking the loss in their tournament match for a shot at the UWA Tag Team Titles. He admits those were opportunities given to him by management, including the WCW World Heavyweight Title shot against Orndorff. He’s going to make his own opportunities, opportunities someone else won’t be able to take from him until its pried out of his cold, dead hands. He’ll show the world what he means at Starrcade: The Resurrection.

“The Lone Horsewoman” Tessa Blanchard defeated Kendall Skye by pinfall via Buzzsaw at 5:25.

In pre-taped interview, Larry Zybszko talks about how Shane McMahon better be true to his word and give Zybszko a real challenge at Starrcade: The Resurrection. He’s tired of being the best kept secret in WCW either being left off shows or given jabronis for less than a light workout when the Nitro Girls jiggle their talentless tushes across the television screens each week. That’s time that should be going to real wrestlers like him, a true living legend.

In a pre-taped interview, Thunder Rosa said she’ll be prepared for whomever she winds up facing at Starrcade for the UWA Women’s Title. Whether that is longtime champion Sasha Banks or Jade Cargill, possibly the hottest wrestler in the UWA today thanks to an amazing undefeated streak. Rosa plans to be at AEW’s Battle of the Belts on Jan. 28 when Cargill and Banks faces off. Because she wants whoever wins that bout to know she’s next and whether it’s a long reign or a short one, she’s ending it at Starrcade to become the next UWA Women’s Champion.

In a pre-taped promo, “Number One” Paul Jones touts the Powers of Fear against The Dominators at Starrcade. He’s not worried about Junkyard Dog or Tony Atlas. He is worried about Bobby Lashley, that Lashley is throwing away his career by carrying JYD and Atlas. At Starrcade, the Powers of Fear will have the WCW Trios and World Heavyweight Tag Team titles and the Dominators will be left with nothing. That’s something JYD and Atlas is used to, but Lashley is so much better than that.

Kurt Angle defeated Disco Inferno by pinfall at 8:22 by pinfall via Angle Slam. Disco starts off by dancing and Angle gives a look like ‘what’s up with this guy.’ Disco does surprising well as it seems like Angle is overlooking him. However, Angle shoves Disco out of the Chart Buster so hard he flies through the ropes to the floor. Angle distracts referee Joey Marella and Honky Tonk Man runs out and nails Disco with a saxophone. Disco trips back into the ring to eat the loss.
