Rhea Ripley and Shayna Baszler defeated Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky by submission at 12:28 when Baszler made Kai tap out to the Karifuda Clutch. Sky was unable to break up the submission hold as she was brawling with Ripley outside the ring and went for a hurricanrana that Ripley countered into a powerbomb on the edge of the ring apron. By winning this match, Baszler and Ripley asserted themselves as the best tag team in the women’s division and earned themselves a shot at Lita and Bayley’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania III.

Triple H came out for an in-ring interview with Mean Gene Okerlund. The Cerebral Assassin told Mean Gene that the reason he cost Adam Cole the WWE Intercontinental Championship is because the kid had gotten a big head. The only problem is that there is a lot of blank space inside it. Cole isn’t as smart as he thinks he is and the only reason he even won a championship is because Triple H recommended him to Bobby Heenan for the family. He saw something in him, not much mind you, but enough to think that the combined forces of The Brain and the Cerebral Assassin could mold him into the best superstar of his generation. He let all that get to his head and decided he was too big for the family. Cole started to act like the Heenan Family was there for him instead of him being there for the family. Triple H asked Mean Gene where Adam Cole was when he was getting screwed out of his WWE World Championship and his shots to become the number one contender to the UWA Men’s Universal Championship? He was nowhere to be seen. A family sticks together, Gene. But apparently, Adam Cole didn’t get the memo.
Adam Cole, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, “Ravishing” Rick Rude, and the UWA Universal Tag Team Champions FTR came to the ring. Cole said that it was funny that Triple H was accusing Cole of acting like he was more important than the rest of the family when he is the one who came to the ring with the rest of the family, unlike Triple H. The truth is that Triple H has always acted like the Heenan Family was his group and the family did whatever he wanted. That was fine as long as he was top banana, but the fact of the matter is that Triple H couldn’t hack it anymore. That is why he lost the WWE World Championship and why he couldn’t beat someone as pathetic as Ricky Steamboat. Triple H’s ego couldn’t stand the fact that there was a new rising star in the family. He couldn’t stand that the star that shines the biggest and brightest is Adam Cole BAY!-BAY!
Triple H said that it is for reasons like what Cole just said that makes him insufferable. No one the rest of the family can’t stand him. Cole said that the family and he are tighter than ever, which is why they’ve been travelling together for the past week, and they’ve been doing just fine without Triple H by their side. Is that so? How about you ask Bobby who he likes best? Cole asks Bobby, who said that he, Dax, Cash, and Rick were all in agreement. Bobby stepped across the ring and stood next to Triple H. Cole laughed in disbelief, but when he looked to Harwood, Wheeler, and Rude, they didn’t share his laugh. Suddenly, it was a 3-on-1 beatdown. FTR gave Cole a Big Rig. Rude gave him a Rude Awakening. Finally, Triple H gave him a Pedigree. The Heenan Family posed with Cole’s bruised and battered body at their feet.

CM Punk defeated Angelo Dawkins by submission at 6:45 when he got the Street Profit to tap out to the Anaconda Vise. Punk didn’t let go of the hold, so Montez Ford had to break it up. Punk backed off a moment, but when Ford turned to make sure his partner was alright, Punk attacked him from behind and put him in the Anaconda Vise. Ford was caught in the hold until AJ Styles rushed out to the ring and pried Punk off him. They fought until Styles took Punk to the mat in a Calf Crusher. He was caught in the hold until officials came to the ring to break it up. Styles asked for a microphone and put the challenged Punk to a match at WrestleMania. Punk walked over to the timekeeper to grab a mic and said that he accepted Styles’ challenge, adding that Styles was the worst tag team partner a guy could ask for, but beating him will be the quickest paycheck he ever collects.

Mean Gene Okerlund spoke to The Miz and Maryse who were upset at Brock Lesnar and Sable for ruining The Miz’s one shot to show why he was more deserving of the UWA Men’s Universal Championship title shot than Ricky Steamboat. Maryse was particularly worked up about Sable’s surprise appearance and attempt to TKO her that she wanted to get her hands on Sable. Maryse challenged Sable to a match on Smackdown, where she’ll learn why it is Maryse and not Sable who all the men come to see, and all the women want to be.

The Usos defeated Harlem Heat by pinfall at 9:13 when Jey Uso pinned Booker T. All four men were brawling outside the ring when Booker followed Jimmy into the ring. Booker sidestepped a superkick attempt and dropping Jimmy with a roundhouse kick, which he followed with an axe kick and a spinaroonie to pop the crowd. Meanwhile, outside the ring, Jey smashed Stevie Ray over the head with a steel chair after dropping to his knees and giving him a low blow to get out of a Slapjack. A Paul Heyman distraction of the referee allowed Jey to enter the ring and hit Booker with a chair, then get back to the ring apron in time for the ref to see Jimmy tag out. They gave Booker the 1D to finish him off.

Mean Gene Okerlund spoke to Trish Stratus, who will challenge Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania III. Mean Gene asked Stratus for her thoughts on Lynch’s victory just moments ago. Stratus said there was no doubt that Lynch was a talented wrestler, but there’s a world of difference between wrestling a punk rock ragdoll and wrestling the queen of the stratosphere. Stratus went on to remind Mean Gene that she pinned Lynch for the 1-2-3 at Survivor Series. She’s done it once and she’ll do it again at WrestleMania. Just then, Becky Lynch hit Stratus from behind with a shot from her title belt and applied the Dis-Arm-Her while shouting that Stratus is not on her level and repeatedly asking, “Who’s The Man?” until WWE security personnel could break it up.

Randy Orton and Rowdy Roddy Piper didn’t even officially happen. Piper came to the ring first. Orton came out next, and while he was posing on the top turnbuckle, Piper came up from behind and took the legs out from under him with a swing of a steal chair. With Orton down on the mat, Piper caved the chair in on Orton’s head – a nasty unprotected blow to the cranium. Piper took the mic from Howard Finkel and said that Orton didn’t deserve to be in the same ring as Piper. He’s a sad excuse for a wrestler. A third-generation disappointment. He said that Randy should quit while he’s ahead. He’ll never win anything. He’s on the worst losing streak WWE has ever seen and the only reason he keeps getting opportunities is because Vince McMahon owes Cowboy Bob like a thousand favours.
Orton got up and glared at Piper, who was happy to see that he got to his feet. He said Randy looked a little angry, but see, that’s the problem with him. He’s only a little angry. There’s no real fire in there. Come on, hit me. Hit me! Hit me! Orton took Piper off his feet and punched him several times. Orton backed away to the other corner and looked like he was getting ready for a punt kick. Piper crawled around until he got the mic and asked Orton what was the matter. If he said half the things he said about Randy to his father, Cowboy Bob would have took his head off. But Randy doesn’t have it in him. He doesn’t have the killer instinct to be a successful professional wrestler. That why when he spoke to Cowboy Bob on the phone last night, the Cowboy told him that Randy was such a disappointment he wished he’d never been born. That was enough to send Randy overboard. He ran at Piper and tried for a punt kick, but Hot Rod knew it was coming and leaned away. He delivered a low blow and pushed Orton through the ropes. Outside the ring, Piper took him to the announce table and gave him a piledriver that collapsed the table! Orton was out cold and Piper walked away from the scene laughing.

Mean Gene Okerlund caught up with Harlem Heat backstage. They were pissed off about how their match with the Usos went down earlier tonight so they lobbied for and will receive a rematch this Friday on Smackdown. They guarantee that things won’t go down the same way. On Friday, the Usos will find themselves in the loss column. Now can you dig that, sucka?!

WWE United States Champion “Macho Man” Randy Savage defeated Kenny Omega by pinfall at 14:29 after he executed his patented diving elbow drop. Omega lifted Savage onto his shoulders to give him the One-Winged Angel, but Savage clubbed him in the mush with a few forearms, dropped down behind Omega, and gave him a hairpull hangman before climbing the top rope to execute his finisher.
John Cena interrupted Savage’s celebration to challenge him to a match at WrestleMania III. Cena said that they had made a great team working together at Survivor Series. Cena was the only survivor on their Survivor Series team without a championship and seeing as how every other champion in the company already has a challenger that leaves only one championship for him to go after. Cena said they had made great teammates and thought they would make even better opponents. Cena appealed to the WWE Universe. Did they want to see the Macho Man versus the Face That Runs The Place? The deafening cheer seemed to indicate that they did. Now, he appealed to the WWE United States Champion. What do you say, Macho Man? Do you want to have a match for the ages? Do you want to steal the show at WrestleMania III? Savage looked to the audience, who cheered loudly again, before slowly extending his hand. Cena took it and Savage held it in a death grip. They sealed the deal with a handshake. It will be Savage versus Cena for the WWE United States Championship at WrestleMania III!

Mean Gene Okerlund spoke to Shawn Michaels, who had a message for “Ravishing” Rick Rude – he made a grave mistake trying to cut in on his business. Michaels is superior to Rude in every which way. Michaels has broken more hearts in the ring, in the bars, in the clubs, and in his hotel bedrooms than Rude ever will. He’s also the best wrestler to ever grace God’s green Earth. On Smackdown, you’re going to find out why they call him “The Showstopper.” And after these ‘spaghetti arms’ pin Rude’s shoulders to the mat to the count of three, Michaels will have a date with Eddie Guerrero for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania!

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD defeated Awesome Kong, Bianca Belair, and Kairi Sane by submission at 17:34 when she forced Kairi Sane to tap out to the lock jaw. Baker was able to score the submission victory after enduring an Alabama slam from Kairi, who then climbed up to the top rope to go for an In-Sane Elbow. Baker rolled out of the way. When she got to her feet, she saw Kairi starting to get up and gave her a curb stomp, and then applied her devastating finishing maneuver. Neither Belair nor Kong was able to break this up as they had been brawling outside the ring. The fight between these two powerhouses saw Kong give Belair an Awesome Bomb through the announce table around the midway point of the match. Later, Belair returned to the ring to stop Kong from climbing the turnbuckles. They brawled around from the ring and up the entrance ramp where Belair gave Kong a spear that sent them both off the side of the entrance stage, taking them out of the finish of the match. With the win, Baker secured a title shot for the UWA Women’s Universal Championship against Sasha Banks, who came to the ring and mocked Baker by slow clapping for her. They both talked smack at one another show until the broadcast cut to commercial.

Mr. McMahon came to the ring and said that Sting was been wreaking havoc on WWE ever since he lost the WWE World Championship unification match. He has been hell bent on getting his revenge and he won’t allow it to happen any longer. His company cannot continue to be held hostage by Sting. So it is time to negotiate a truce. Mr. McMahon has waved the restraining order for one night only to allow Sting to come to the ring and make a deal with Mr. McMahon. He knew Sting was in the building so he called on him to do business.
Mr. McMahon looked to the sky, he looked to the entrance, he looked in every which direction for Sting until he was spotted entering the arena through the crowd. Sting made his way to the ring surrounded by cheering members of the WWE Universe. When he got in the ring he told Mr. McMahon that he couldn’t see them coming to an agreement because doing business with him would be like making a deal with the devil. Mr. McMahon took it as a compliment. However, he said, he didn’t have to make a deal with Sting. He could have instead chosen to make his life a living hell. Sting said that McMahon was in no position to do that. He has suspended him, fired him, slapped a restraining order on him. He has tried everything and nothing has kept him away. That means Sting holds all the cards.
Unable to avoid facing this reality, McMahon let his anger spill over. He spoke very poorly of Sting, adding that he wants nothing more than to have him go away forever. He demanded Sting tell him what he would take to make that happen. Does he want money? If so how much? What does he want, dammit?! Sting told there was only one thing that could make him go away forever. Well, what is it, dammit?! A Loser Leaves WWE match! Sure, okay, against who? You! No way, that is completely out of the question! Fine, then Sting will never stop haunting McMahon, not until he steps foot in the ring with him, one-on-one.
As Sting finished saying this, Umaga struck him from behind. Yokozuna and The Usos were close behind. It was a 4-on-1, until “Stone Cold” Steve Austin ran out and started throwing down. Roman Reigns showed up to reestablish with 3-man advantage. Reigns gave Austin a spear and put him in a guillotine choke. Meanwhile, Umaga gave Sting a Samoan spike. The Usos gave him a 1D, and Yokozuna finished him off with a Banzai Drop.
With his foes vanquished, Mr. McMahon was feeling pretty cocky. He decided that if Sting wants a match with Mr. McMahon, first he’ll have to face Yokozuna and Umaga in a handicap match on Smackdown! If he wins, he’ll get his match. But if he loses, he must leave WWE forever!
