1. Ladies Singles Match. Tegan Nox pinned Sky Blue following the Shinning Wizard.
2. 4 Man Tag Team Match. Mr. Wrestling 1 & II debut to win by disqualification over the New Zealand Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams). Sheepherders thrown II over the top rope & try to unmask I but II made the save.
3. Mix Tag Team Match. Dick Murdoch & Wendi Richter beat the Great Kabuki w/mgr. 'Playboy' Gary Hart & Mina Shirakawa. Wendi with the sit out DDT on Mina while Murdoch fought with Kabuki & Hart ringside.
The Winter Warfare PPV kicks off with announcers Gordon Solie & Rick Stewart at the announcer's desk with interviewer Charly Carulso. Solie announces that they have a guest tonight -- Santa Claus!!! Santa will be handing out presents & candy during tonight's show. Some of the lady wrestlers not working on the card are helping as Santa's helpers.
1. Single Match. Don Muraco overcame a pre-bell attack to beat Gene Anderson with the Hawaiian Hammer in Muraco's first UWF PPV. (10:59). After the match, Muraco rolled out of the ring when Ole tried to get involved.
Caruso backstage interview Buddy Rose who brags he is going to destroy Austin Idol away in just a few minutes.
2. Special Single Match. 'Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol submitted 'Playboy' Buddy Rose with the Las Vegas Leglock. (14:02). Rose, who was using a small rope to choke Idol, made fun of the Santa ringside after Santa refused to leave ringside. Buddy unexpectedly got nailed with a fist upside the head when he leaned through the ropes to mock Santa. This distraction allowed Austin to get his wind back & locked Rose in the Las Vegas Leglock to get the victory.
After Idol left the ring, the frustrated Playboy got on the mike to challenge Santa to get in the ring with him. Despite the warning from officials, Santa got into the ring with another present for Buddy -- a fist upside his head! Santa took of the beard & red-white cap to reveal 'Cowboy' Bill Watts!!! Rose tried to beg off. The Cowboy put a whipping on the Playboy in an unscheduled, unsanctioned match before a bloody Rose ran back to the dressing room.
Caruso interview with Bob Roop w/mgr. James J. Dillon on the upcoming 6-man tag team match including Danny Hodge
3. 6 Man Tag Team Match. Danny Hodge, Jack & Gerald Brisco over Bob Roop w/mgr. James J. Dillon, Triple Threat (Shane Douglas & Chris Candido). Exciting match with Roop avoiding Hodge like the plague until Douglas hit a low blow on Danny. Bob tried to put away Hodge, but the Brisco's weren't letting it happen. The Briscoes worked over Douglas and especially Candido. Hodge sleepered Candido after Dillon pulls Roop out of ring & they left for the dressing room. (17:15).

4. Non-Title Challenge Match. 'Crippler' Chris Benoit defeated UWF World's Junior Heavyweight Champion Finn Balor with the Crippler Crossface. (14:55). The champ used quick kicks & punches on the challenger. Benoit grounded Balor twice to slow the match down & work on the champ's neck. However, Finn played too much to the crowd as the Chris took advantage of it. When the champ missed a second double stomp from the top turnbuckle, the challenger rolled out of the way to lock the Cross Face for the submission on a stunned Balor. Benoit got on the mike to tell Balor that he is one pound under the weight limit. Crippler demanded a title match on the next PPV.
Caruso backstage interview with Anna Jay who is supporting a taped-up thumb she says she injured painting her nails today. Mandy Rose may want her belt but isn't going to get it.

Special segment on the name change from UWF to NWA with the upcoming addition of three more titles -- a women's World's Tag Team Title, a men's United States Heavyweight Title and United States Tag Team Title. They will be decided on Saturday, January 21 live at Mattmania from the Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
5. UWF Women's World's Title Match. Special referee Nicole Savoy. (Champ): Anna Jay lost the title to (Chall): Mandy Rose when Rose nailed Jay with the Kiss the Rose for the 1-2-3.. The champ had her thumb taped up. After an inspection by referee Savoy, the match began. The challenger didn't like it but had to accept it. During the match, Anna used the taped-up thumb as a weapon, jamming it into the throat of the challenger several times, usually with a big smile on her face. Mandy finally had enough. Rose dragged Jay to the ring floor & slammed her taped up hand into the ring post while Savoy counted. Back inside the ring, the champ shoved the referee, hoping for a disqualification & retaining the title, but it backfired. The challenger sprang off the ropes to nail the champion with the Kiss the Rose. Mandy covered Anna to become the new champion. (9:13). Anna pitched a hissy fit, finally attacking Savoy. Rose left with the belt while Nicole had locked a screaming Anna in the Savoylock until officials made her break the hold.
Caruso backstage interview with Dick Murdoch who says he is going to second Brody & Hansen in tonight's match against the Anderson Brothers. Murdoch says he never like Ole & his crew so he is going to enjoy seeing Brody & Hansen kick their asses.
6. Battle of the Brutes Tag Team Match. 'Bruiser' Brody & Stan 'Lariat' Hansen w/second Dick Murdoch double disqualification with The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Lars & Ole Anderson) w/Gene Anderson. (11:41). The Minnesota Wrecking Crew protested Dick Murdoch being allowed to second Brody & Hansen. (If they had Ole ringside, Brody-Hansen team could get Murdoch.) Wild brawl from the bell as the Andersons charged Brody & Hansen for an early advantage. Gene taunted Dick ringside, but Murdoch stayed calm until finally got his hands on Anderson. The brawling spilled out ringside with fans scattering as the match ended up as a double disqualification with everyone brawling all the way back to the dressing rooms.
Caruso backstage interview with manager 'Playboy' Gary Hart & his champs, the Asian Assassins (Kenta Kobashi & Mitsuharu Misawa). Hart says Kobashi & Mitsuharu are ready for war & that is what it is going to be against Dillon's Dynasty. But the Asian Assassins will be successful tonight.
7. UWF World's Tag Team Title Match. (Champs): Asian Assassins (Kenta Kobashi & Mitsuharu Misawa) w/mgr. 'Playboy' Gary Hart retain titles over (Challs): Dillon's Dynasty 'Dirty' Dick Slater & 'Ace' Bob Orton Jr. (16:09). With the tag belts on the line, these two rugged teams stayed closely to the rules. The challengers singled out Kobashi with Orton Jr. keeping Kenta grounded while Slater went the punch & kick route. Hart was furiously protesting the blatant double teaming by by the challengers. Kobashi finally tagged his tag team partner. Misawara took control of the match, nailing the win with the Emerald Flowsion on Slater for the 1-2-3. Dillon was distracted in the end, trying to deal with an aggressive Hart ringside. JJ was not a happy camper after the loss.
Caruso backstage interview with UWF World's Heavyweight Champion Ken Shamrock. The champ says he is ready for Greg Valentine & that slimy manager of his James J. Dillon. When the dust settles, Ken Shamrock will still be the UWF World's Heavyweight Champion.
8. UWF World's Heavyweight Title Match. (Champ): Ken Shamrock is injured while in the figure-four leglock & drops title to (Chall): Greg 'the Hammer' Valentine w/mgr. James J. Dillon (19:23). The champ took the offense to the challenger in the opening minutes. Valentine spent a lot of time outside with JJ. Finally, Shamrock had enough of their staling & it was a mistake. With the referee distracted by Greg, JJ nailed Ken in the knee outside of the ring with a steel chair.
Once back in the ring, the Hammer was vicious. working on the knee over & over again. The champ got a break & tried to lock in the ankle lock, but his leg was too injured to take the pressure. Valentine locked in his money hold to become the new UWF World's Heavyweight Champion. Slater, Orton Jr. & Roop join the new champ in the ring while a majority of the fans booed the Dynasty.
In the final minutes, Commissioner Jim Barnett joins Gordon & Rick for a special announcement. Beginning Jan. 1, 2023, the UWF will now be known as the NWA. With the end of a former promotion week ago that was using the NWA name, the UWF stepped in to secure the rights to it.
In closing, they wish everyone a Merry Christmas & remind them to watch Saturday's season-ending special edition of the Best of the UWF highlights from 2022.
