Bayley and Shayna Baszler defeated Ember Moon and Kris Statlander by submission at 12:42 when Baszler put Moon in the Kirifuda Clutch to force her to tap out. Bayley hit Statlander in the back with a steel chair, behind the official’s back, to prevent her from getting in the ring to make the save.
A video package promoting the WrestleMania match between John Cena and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin aired, showing highlights of their feud dating back to Survivor Series, and featuring both superstars’ final words before their match tomorrow night.
WALTER defeated Irwin R. Schyster by pinfall at 6:11 after he executed a Golden Bomb. After the win, he took the mic and said that he would successfully defend his United States Championship against Brock Lesnar two nights from now, just as he had done every other time he has defended the title. The most impressive stage in the world with the most impressive challenger in the world will not change that.
Rowdy Roddy Piper defeated Penta El 0M by submission at 10:35 when he made Penta succumb to his sleeperhold. With the win, Piper became the last superstar to qualify for the the Mania Mayhem match at Wrestlemania II. The eight superstars competing in the match will form four randomized tag teams for a fatal fourway tag team match, with the members of the winning team immediately becoming opponents in a one-on-one contest where the winner will earn a future opportunity to compete for the UWA Universal Men’s Champion. Piper said he was the last man to qualify for Mania Mayhem, and he’ll be the last man standing in Mania Mayhem. He doesn’t care if it’s Nick Aldis or Daniel Bryan – whoever comes out of WrestleMania with the title is going to lose it to the Hot Rod!
A video package promoting the WrestleMania match for the UWA Universal Men’s Championship between the current champion Nick Aldis and the challenger Daniel Bryan. It showed highlights of their short feud, where Aldis surprise attacked Bryan at Madison Square Garden four weeks ago, and Bryan got revenge on Aldis a week ago. It also showed clips of Aldis defeating Samoa Joe for the title and successfully defending it in other territories, and of Bryan winning the Royal Rumble and defeating “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase at Elimination Chamber to keep his title shot. The promo finished with both superstars saying their final words before their match tomorrow night.
Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Lita defeated Peyton Royce and Billie Kay of the The IIconics by pinfall at 9:29 when Lynch pinned Kay following a Manhandle Slam. Lita intercepted Royce’s attempt to break up the pin by taking her down with a Litacanrana.
Brock Lesnar defeated John Bradshaw Layfield by pinfall at 6:02 after he executed the F-5. After the win, he took the mic and said that he was unlike anyone who has ever stepped foot inside the ring with WALTER. Just two nights from now, the Ring General is going to get taken to Suplex City by the Beast Incarnate and there will be a new United States Champion.
A video package promoting the WrestleMania match for the Smackdown World Championship between the current champion Sting and the challenger The Undertaker. It showed clips of Sting’s title reign dating back to when he defeated Roman Reigns for the title at Summerslam, and of The Undertaker winning the Elimination Chamber and getting wins over other opponents. It also showed highlights of their encounters over the past month, where the two superstars had mutual respect, but have since come to dislike one another. The promo finished with both superstars saying their final words before their match in two nights.
The Young Bucks defeated The Usos by disqualification at 16:20 when the referee saw Umaga giving Matt Jackson a Samoan Spike. The match was a super kick party the likes of which has never been seen. The Young Bucks rallied in the last minute of the match to give Jimmy Uso a BTE Trigger and then a Meltzer Driver to Jey Uso. Umaga and Roman Reigns came out at this time. While Paul Heyman distracted the referee, Umaga entered the ring and gave both Jacksons headbutts and Samoan drops. Kenny Omega ran out and brawled at ringside with Reigns. Umaga gave Nick Jackson a Samoan Spike, but when he went to do the same thing to Matt, the referee turned around to see it. Umaga kept attacking both Jacksons, which led to the surprise arrival of “Hangman” Adam Page! He came to the ring and brawled with Umaga. He took him over the top rope with a clothesline. The Usos attacked him, but he fought them off and nailed Jey with a Buckshot Lariat. Reigns and Umaga collected Jimmy and Jey. Page got on the mic and said his return to the company was planned for the night after ‘Mania, but he couldn’t sit back watching his friends get demolished because of a disadvantage in the numbers game, which is why he’s here now, and because he’s in the fighting mood, he proposes that he, Omega, and the Young Bucks square off against Reigns, Umaga, and The Usos at WrestleMania. Paul Heyman responded for The Bloodline, saying that Page just asked for his first match back to be his last match ever with the company. His Tribal Chief accepts the challenge, and at WrestleMania, Page, Omega and the Jackson brothers will acknowledge that The Bloodline is the best group in professional wrestling today!
