CCW Superstar Saturday: Episode 47
Ring Announcer: Mike McGuirk
Interviewer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Joey Marella and Aubrey Edwards
Andy Kaufman is back and he’s doing commentary with Bob Caudle again. He’s not sure who sent him out to Hollywood so he missed Wednesday Warfare, but he has his suspicions. Shane McMahon then speaks from off camera. He’s in the production booth again to make sure Andy has a good show. It’s all for you, buddy. Kaufman grimaces.
Mike Bennet, Maria Kannellis-Bennett and Eli Drake come out to the Bennets’ “True Love” WWE theme. Andy asks if they have rights to that. Shane comes on and said he cleared it with his dad. It’s recapped how the Bennets debuted at the end of the last episode and helped Eli Drake win the CCW Television Title back from Bob Backlund.
Maria says that it’s disgusting how God’s Gift to Wrestling, her husband, and God’s Gift to Men, herself, have been floating around the UWA without a home for so long. When Eli Drake called and said he needed a partner and a manger he could trust, not someone who would leave him high and dry like Sherri Martel did, Maria knew they could fill the spot. She knows it’s always bros before hoes and these are her bros.
Bob Backlund then comes out and demands a rematch for the Television Title right now. Maria wags her finger ‘no,’ in Bob’s face. You beat Mike Bennett first and then we talk. We hear Kaufman complain about how something is wrong, because he’s still got the “True Love” song playing in his headset. Help! Anyone! Help!

Mike Bennett defeated Bob Backlund by pinfall via the Miracle in Progress samoan driver at 12:34. Mike throws Bob to the floor, distracts referee Joey Marella and Drake nails Backlund with the Gravy Train on the floor. He then rolls him back into the ring for Mike to get the victory.
The two do a post match beatdown directed by Maria. “The Appalachian Outlaw” Jock Samson runs out with his bull rope and cowbell and makes the save. Caudle reminds the fans how Samson feuded with Drake a few months ago over the TV Title. Samson runs the heels off and checks on Backlund.
Andy Kaufman freaked out through the whole match about how the theme was still playing and wouldn’t stop. Shane apologizes and said they’re working on it.

Andy Kaufman is beating his head into the desk to the Bennets’ theme still playing constantly in his headset. “I’m burning up in your love (smack, smack). Your love (smack, smack). Burning up in your love (smack, smack). Your love (smack, smack).” He then screams, rips off his headset and runs off. Shane McMahon comes out of the booth and takes over on commentary during the next match. He puts the headset on. Hmm…seems to be working okay for him.
A recap from last week is shown of Demolition beating up their stablemates Crush and Mutilate and wiping off their face paint. Plus, Ax and Smash beating up the Holly Cousins.
Demolition (Ax and Smash) defeated Brian Lee and Brian Adams (the former Crush and Mutilate) in 10:02 by Demolition Decapitation on Lee. Demolition do a beatdown post match. Bob Holly comes out with a microphone to the entrance stage. Crash hasn’t recovered from the beatdown last week, but Bob is here and ready to go. He’ll even take both of them on right now.
Ax and Smash laugh. Ax says they’ve already had their light workout for the week, but he’s willing to take Bob on next week in a singles bout if Crash is still licking his wounds.

A recap is shown of Psycho Circus of Kizarny and Crazzy Steve with Roxxi Leaveaux debuting last week with a win over the Varsity Blondes. This includes Roxxi kissing Sunny and stealing some of her essence.
Chris Candido with Sunny defeated Kizarny with “Voodoo Queen” Roxxi Leveaux at 8:39 by pinfall via top rope diving headbutt. Sunny makes sure to touch up her lipstick when Roxxi gets close, but Leveaux doesn’t seem to need anymore essence of Sunny.
In the back, Kaufman is in the fetal position and still chanting the “True Love” song. Ivory comes up to check on him. Maybe Kaufman should leave for the day, or the week, or the month. A good long vacation might be the best thing for him. He’s been working too hard lately. Don’t worry; her, Robert Fuller and Shane McMahon can handle everything with CCW. All of them just want to help. A weirded out Andy tells Ivory she might be right and he wanders off. Ivory smiles slyly.

In the back, Candido is berating Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison. He says he had no trouble with that sideshow freak Kizarny, who whipped their asses last week. Pillman gets in Candido’s face, telling him to lay off. They’re still rookies and they’re doing their best. Chris tells Brian maybe Demolition is right. Sometimes you got to get smaller to get stronger. He walks off with Sunny and “Pretty Boy” Sean Casey.
The Ultra Black Scorpion defeated the debuting “Above Average” Mike Sanders by submission via torture rack at 6:29.
Slick comes out and complains, as he did last week, that Ultra Black Scorpion is Tony Atlas in a mask and Atlas lost a loser leaves town match to Rocky Johnson at KaufMania. Slick says he’s getting a court order for the Ultra Black Scorpion to remove his mask and prove he’s not Tony Atlas or he has to leave CCW anyway. Scorpion confronts Slick and says if he wants to see who he is under his mask, then he can try to take it off himself. He grabs Slick by the jacket, but Rocky Johnson jumps Scorpion out of nowhere and they brawl off.

The Patriot and Junkyard Dog defeated the Funk Brothers (Terry and Dory Jr.) at 14:20 by pinfall via Patriot Missile of Patriot on Dory.
Post match, Patriot and JYD talk with SoCal Val about how nobody asked them about this switcheroo deal for March Madness. How they’ll be facing The Undisputed Era of Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly for the Gulf Coast Tag Team Titles. They are not the tag team to forget or overlook. If the Undisputed Era want to do that, then go ahead. Because if they do, PWX will be some gold short after March Madness.
