CCW Superstar Saturday: Episode 46
Commentators: Bob Caudle and Dutch Mantel
Ring Announcer: Mike McGuirk
Interviewer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Joey Marella and Aubrey Edwards
Bob Caudle opens the show and Dutch Mantel is still sick, so Andy Kaufman is with him again on commentary. He smirks about how Shane McMahon wasn’t out there with him. We then hear Shane’s disembodied voice from overhead. He decided to help out in the production booth today. He’ll be overseeing things off air, letting Andy have all the glory on air. It’s all for you Andy, just helping where I can. Kaufman asks if Caudle can hear the voice and he says yes. Andy takes a deep breath and feels relieved that it’s not the voices in his head again.
Demolition of Ax and Smash defeated the debuting Dude Busters of Caylen Croft and Trent Baretta by pinfall of Smash on Croft at 7:32 via Demolition Decapitation.
SoCal Val has the winners post match. Demolition haven’t been given anything to do since returning to CCW and that’s why they left the first time. They better get some damn competition right now. The Holly Cousins of Crash and Bob can be seen in the background coming out for the next match. Ax says, hey, we’re not done talking yet. Demolition then beat up the Hollys for encroaching on their time.

Demolition 2 of Crush and Mutilate are in the ring. Since the Hollys can’t compete, they give an open challenge to anyone in the back. It’s answered by Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith, the former CCW Tag Team Champions. Smith and Hart win by pinfall of Smith on Mutilate by running power slam at 10:10.
Post match, Ax and Smash come back out and beat the living crap out of Mutilate and Crush and rub off their face makeup. They don’t deserve to call themselves Demolition after losing like that. Sometimes there is strength in numbers and sometimes you have to get smaller to get stronger.

Madusa Micelli defeated Molly Holly at 13:30 by pinfall via bridging German suplex. Molly was worrying about her cousins and her head really wasn’t in the match.
Sherri Martel goes to enter Eli Drake’s dressing room in the back, but the door is locked. She knocks and he comes out. She’s there to get ready for his TV Title rematch with Bob Backlund. Far as Drake is concerned, Sherri was the reason he lost in the first place and he doesn’t need her anymore. She can hit the bricks and go feed Tessa Blanchard chicken soup and read her bedtime stories while she’s laid up. Sherri laughs, Drake doesn’t think he can win the TV Title back on his own, does he? Who said anything about him being alone.

The debuting Psycho Circus of Kizarny and Crazzy Steve with “Voodoo Queen” Roxxi Leveaux defeated The Varsity Blondes of Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. with Sunny at 8:59 by pinfall of Steve on Garrison via Tallulah Belle (double underhook DDT with body scissors). During the match, Sunny gets in Roxxi’s face and she open mouth kisses Sunny, who doesn’t seem to mind it. Roxxie exhales some purple smoke after. Leveaux then gets take charge with shouting orders and her guys get the win.
After the match, Sunny berates the Blondes for losing. Pillman tells her to lay off. Sean Casey and Chris Candido, Sunny’s other charges, come out and get into a shoving match with the Blondes until Sunny brokers peace.
SoCal Val catches up with the winners and asks Leveaux about the kiss of Sunny. Roxxi used her voodoo powers to absorb some of Sunny’s prowess as a manager so she can properly lead Psycho Circus. Now, excuse her, Roxxi suddenly has a strange desire for hot dogs, bananas and popsicles.

SoCal Val has Bob Backlund and asks him about his upcoming match with Eli Drake. “I earned my title shot at KaufMania by lasting 10 minutes with Eli Drake inside that ring. Then at the biggest CCW show of the year, I did what nobody thought I could do. I don’t know what Eli Drake has planned tonight and I don’t care. All I can do is go out there and wrestle the best match I can. It’s all I can do every night and it’s what I do every night.” Andy Kaufman can be heard snoring and Shane shouts to wake him up.
The debuting Ultra Black Scorpion, a muscular black man in a black mask, defeated Curt Hawkins in 5:39 by submission via torture rack. Slick runs out and protests that it’s Tony Atlas, who lost a loser leaves town match to Rocky Johnson at KaufMania. He shouldn’t be here. Kaufman says that’s not Tony Atlas, it’s the Ultra Black Scorpion. And who is the Ultra Black Scorpion? The guy in the ring. This atrocity will not stand.

Eli Drake wins back the CCW Television Title from Bob Backlund by pinfall via Gravy Train at 17:30. Backlund has Drake in the crossface chickenwing and it looks like he’s going to submit. However, Maria Kanellis-Bennett, never seen before, runs out and jumps on the apron. With referee Tommy Young distracted, Mike Bennett runs in and nut shots Backlund from behind. As Young turns around, Drake makes it look like he’s escaping the chicken wing and then gets the Gravy Train.
Drake celebrates with Maria and Bennett in the aisle post match.
