CCW Superstar Saturday: Episode 44
Taped at the Andy Kaufman Studios in Dothan, Alabama
Commentators: Bob Caudle and Dutch Mantel
Ring Announcer: Mike McGuirk
Interviewer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Aubrey Edwards and Joey Marella
Caudle and Mantel rundown the show and then introduce as special guests the UWA Universal Tag Team Champions Strike Force of Tito Santan and Rick Martel. They get a great reaction and Santana is happy the fans haven’t forgotten them. They hated to leave CCW, but it gave them some great opportunities, like now being the Universal Tag Team Champions. Martel said they’re booked for KaufMania and they know them against Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith have been floated and they’d loved to have that match.
Hart and Smith then come out and have a very warm reception. Hart said they’d like that match too and they know all the CCW fans want to see it. Slick then interrupts with Power Station of Will Hobbs and Odyssey Jones. They finally win the CCW Tag Team Titles and they’re still getting screwed over for Hart and Smith. If anybody deserves that match, it should be them.
Slick’s interrupted by the Undisputed Era of Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly wearing their PWX Tag Team Title belts. Power Station aren’t the only tag champions in CCW now and they deserve the Universal Title match.
Santana and Ortiz come out and say the Undisputed Era will be in no shape for a Universal Title match after the main event today and they deserve the shot at KaufMania.
Then the Funk Brothers come out. Terry Funk isn’t done with Eddie Kingston yet, nor his lackeys in Santana and Ortiz, but they wouldn’t mind a shot at those belts either.
Ivory, Associate Vice President of Talent Relations, comes out to stop any other tag teams from interrupting. Nobody has an automatic claim on the Universal Tag Team Title shot at KaufMania. She books a tag team battle royale for the next Wednesday Warfare. One man from each established team in CCW and the winners get the Universal Tag Team title match at KaufMania

Crash Holly goes to his cousin, Bob, who is talking to Molly Holly about her upcoming match. Crash doesn’t want to hear any lip from Bob, he’ll be their representative in the tag team battle royal next week. Bob says fine. What? Crash can be in the match for them but with a bet. Crash doesn’t have to win, just don’t be the first man thrown out and Bob will start giving Crash more say. Get thrown out first and Crash has to do what Bob says always, no questions asked. Tessa Blanchard, with the CCW Women’s Title over her shoulder cuts a promo in the back by herself. “The Lone Horsewoman has punched her ticket to KaufMania and now some other worthless wrench here in Continental Championship Wrestling is going to make her way to the biggest show of the year on my back? I don’t like it, but I’ll live with it. Because what every woman in this company needs to learn, what every fan out there needs to learn, and what every female grappler in the UWA will get the chance to learn; is that Tessa Blanchard has no quit in her. I can wrestle all day and all night and again the next day. I’ll take care of whatever floozy wins the next match on night one of KaufMania to retain the CCW Women’s Title. Then I’ll beat Sasha Banks to win the Universal Women’s Title on night two. At the end of the weekend, everyone will be saying my new name: Tessa Two Belts.”

Because, guess what, Andy Kaufman, I don’t give a damn about you and I never did. I only care about three things, dude, winning the UWA Universal Title, the 4.56 million Hulkamaniacs worldwide and on the moon and the United State of America, brother. The Hulkster bleeds red, white and blue. And tonight, brother, we’ll see what the Russian Teddy Bear Ivan Koloff bleeds, vodka and lies.”

We get a pre-taped promo from UWA Universal Champion Nicholas Aldis. “I want to apologize to all the CCW fans that daddy hasn’t been home lately. I’ve been defending the 10 pounds of gold, sweet Charlotte, all over the UWA. The 1 million year galactic reign is just getting into gear. Tommy Rich in ETW and Bobby Lashely in WCW couldn’t stop it and I damn well know that Chris Jericho isn’t going to stop this roll at KaufMania. In fact, I get the privilege of announcing the show's subtitle - KaufMania: What’s Causing Aldis. Because I’m the biggest name in the best promotion in the UWA. I just wish I had a better dance partner than Chris Jericho. But, hell, even I can make him look good.”

I was smart enough to take this belt back, because I was the only one fit to hold it and I will keep it because of my determination and drive to do so. Marc Mero, when I look at you, I still see a discount Little Richard impersonator who lost the biggest opportunity he ever had in this sport because his wife’s fake tits were more over than him. Well, there’s nothing fake about me. I’m real, I’m damn real. And PWX running CCW and holding all the gold will be true real soon. Oh, it will be damn true.”
