CCW Wednesday Warfare Episode 27
Commentators: Bob Caudle and Dutch Mantel
Ring Announcer: Mike McGuirk
Interviewer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Joey Marella and Aubrey Edwards
The show starts with a recap from the end of Winter Wonderland with the PWX contingent of CM Punk, Kurt Angle and the Undisputed Era attacking Eddie Kingston and holding the ring.
We go live with Col. Robert Fuller, Vice President of Operations, with Caudle and Mantel. He wanted to show what happened so the people know what Continental Championship Wrestling is up against and what they won’t tolerate. The PWX guys are banned from the building today.
Eddie Kingston comes out and tells Fuller that’s not what he wants. These guys came out after his bloody and hard fought victory against Terry Funk and beat him up even more when he was already down and not expecting it. He invites CM Punk and the rest to come in the studio today and look him right in the eye. We’ll see how far they get when Kingston and his boys know they’re coming. Proud and Powerful come out and stand with Kingston.
Fuller tells him to slow down. They don’t want to let PWX in the door here.
Marc Mero then comes out and complains about Kurt Angle holding the Gulf Coast Title belt hostage. He earned a shot at that belt at KaufMania and he better get it. Ron Killings then comes out and tells Mero to slow his roll. That title match is Killings vs. Mero, it’s not Mero just being handed the title. He wants to kick Mero’s ass, but he wants to kick Angle’s ass even more now.
Fuller said they’re going through legal means to get the title belt back and he’s confident they’ll have it by KaufMania.
The talent argues with Fuller until Andy Kaufman flickers onto the KaufmanTron via Zoom. He tells Fuller to let PWX in. What? Kaufman’s brand is chaos and he can’t think of a better way to bring it than letting PWX in. Because chaos is ratings and ratings are money.
Fuller is stunned as we fade to break.

Caudle says Fuller is working on contacting the PWX contingent and inviting them to the building today with the stipulation that they bring the Gulf Coast title with them. We’ll keep an eye on that, but try to do a standard show the best we can. Let’s go to the ring.
Bob Backlund defeats Simon Gotch with Downtown Bruno by submission via crossface chicken wing at 8:49.
Dr. of Style, Slick is at ringside with Power Station of Will Hobbs and Odyssey Jones wearing their newly won CCW Tag Team Title belts. Slick tells Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith to turn the lights off, the party’s over. Nobody thought Power Station could win the tag team title belts, but they did. Before Slick can get too far, Tony Atlas comes out and asks where Rocky Johnson is. Slick said Hart and Smith were ducking Power Station, but Johnson is ducking Atlas. His former tag team partner hasn’t been around for a month. Slick keeps saying something big is coming for KaufMania, but what is it? Rocky Johnson then runs out and attacks Atlas from behind. Power Station then join in on the beat down. Johnson locks Atlas into the Boston Crab on the floor while Power Station puts the boots to him. Slick backs him off and tells Atlas if he wants Johnson at KaufMania it’s going to be an I Quit loser leaves town match. CCW isn’t big enough for the both of them.

Layla El defeats Nikki Cross by disqualification at 1:12. Cross is quickly frustrated by Layla El getting the advantage early, gets a chair from the outside and waffles Layla with it. Cross takes the microphone from McGuirk and complains about her Women’s Terrific Tussle elimination at the hands of Cherry Bomb. If Bomb thinks the beating she took at the Tussle was something, she’s got much more to come.
Crash and Bob Holly are arguing in the back. Crash is upset with Bob for taking a TV Title shot away from him at the special house show the night before Winter Wonderland. Bob didn’t take it for him, he took it to protect Crash. Crash doesn’t need protecting and he doesn’t need Bob making decisions for him. He went to Ivory and he’s getting a TV Title shot tonight against Eli Drake.

Mickie James-Aldis goes to the commentary station and demands Ivory, Associate Vice President of Talent Relations, comes out to the desk. Ivory came out not because she was commanded, but because she wanted to see what crazy crap James was spewing. And, yes, Ivory knows who Mickie’s husband is. James-Aldis wants to know what Ivory is going to do about Tessa Blanchard having the UWA Universal Women’s Title shot at KaufMania from winning the Terrific Tussle, while still being CCW Women’s Champion. The CCW Women’s Title should be defended at KaufMania.
“The Lone Horsewoman” Tessa Blanchard comes out with her title belt around her waist. Blanchard says she’ll wrestle twice in one night, no problem, and she’ll walk out of KaufMania as Tessa TwoBelts. Ivory reveals KaufMania is going to be two nights this year, just like last year. Blanchard can defend her women’s title on night one and face Sasha Banks for the Universal Title on night two. That’s fine, James-Aldis will win the Women’s Title on night one and when Banks beats her on night two, she’ll be Tessa NoBelts. Ivory asks who said Aldis-James was getting the title shot. Ivory books a fatal fourway for Superstar Saturday with the winner getting the title shot. It will be the final four, minus Blanchard, from the Terrific Tussle. Mickie James-Aldis vs. Dr. Britt Baker, DMD vs. Molly Holly vs. Taya Valkyrie.
“The Man with the Hands of Stone” Ronnie Garvin defeated Aiden English with Downtown Bruno at 7:32 via Stone Cutter (inverted stunner).
SoCal Val catches Garvin after the match and asks him about the double knockout at Winter Wonderland in his match with “Superstar” Billy Graham. Garvin said if there’s one man in all of wrestling that punches as hard as he does, it has to be Graham. They caught each other just right, but if they meet up again, you better believe it will be Garvin landing the single knockout blow. He holds his first up to the camera.

Carmella is in the back still putting apps on her new cell phone. Taya Valkyrie comes up and makes fun of Carmella for freaking out about her phone getting destroyed by Roxxi Laveaux’s mist in the Women’s Terrific Tussle match at Winter Wonderland. If Taya Valkyrie has as many Instagram and Twitter followers as she did, she might understand how important a phone is. Oh, Taya has way more followers than Carmella does. No, she doesn’t. Carmella pulls up Valkyrie’s Instagram page and shows her. Oh, not that page. This one. Taya takes Carmella’s phone and calls up the page “Taya Valkerie’s Ass,” which has double Carmella’s Instagram. Carmella is horrified and Taya slaps her own butt as she turns to go.
The Patriot and Junkyard Dog defeated Demolition 2 (Crush and Mutilate) by pinfall of Patriot on Mutilate with a Patriot Missile at 9:08.

Eli Drake with “Sensational” Sherri Martel retains the CCW Television Title over Crash Holly by pinfall via Gravy Train at 9:45. Drake with a beat down for most of the match, but Crash gets a sliding DDT on a backdrop try. Springboard Bulldog. Sherri gets up on the apron. Bob Holly runs out to stop her. Crash yells at Bob for getting into his business. This allows Drake to recover and he pushes Crash into Sherri and Bob on the apron, they fall to the floor. Crash stumbles off the ropes into the Bottom Rung and eats the Gravy Train.
A camera in the back catches PWX arriving at the building. Col. Robert Fuller doesn’t want any trouble. CM Punk promises to be on his best behavior and gives a sly smile. He slaps Fuller on the shoulder and says he’ll see him in the ring. Undisputed Era go with him. Fuller blocks Angle, coughs and holds out his hand as if to take the Gulf Coast Title belt back. Angle instead hands him a piece of paper. What’s this? An injunction against Fuller trying to take the belt back. Angle was let go from CCW at the same time the Gulf Coast Title, which he held, was deactivated. But, deactivation isn’t stripping him of the title or making it vacant. So, when the title was activated again, Angle was still the champion of record. But, he’s willing to do Fuller a solid and defend the belt at KaufMania against his tournament winner. Fuller, seemingly defeated, says he’s moving up the tournament final between Marc Mero and Ron Killings to Superstar Saturday.

“Cult of Personality” plays and what we’re calling the PWX stable enters the ring. CM Punk is happy they had his music still on file. He was told Eddie Kingston wanted to spit in his eye or something like that, so why doesn’t he come out. Kingston comes out with Proud and Powerful backing him up. Fuller then runs into the ring and tells everybody to just keep calm.
Kingston with a microphone in his hand gets in Punk’s face. It’s not so easy with a fresh and ready for him Kingston standing in front of him, is it? Punk is a has-been grasping at straws and if he’s been in so many failed companies lately…well, maybe there’s a reason for that.
A smirking Punk says if he’s a has-been, that’s better than being a never-was. Kingston never caught on anywhere until a broke and desperate CCW gave him a chance. Hell, this is the company that signed Tom Magee and was paying Chris Jericho in steak buffet coupons.
Kingston asks if Punk hates CCW so much why is here? That’s easy, to burn this mother down! Everyone brawls as we fade to black.
