CCW Wednesday Warfare Episode 25
Taped at the Andy Kaufman Studios in Dothan, Alabama
Commentators: Bob Caudle and Dutch Mantel
Ring Announcer: Mike McGuirk
Interviewer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Aubrey Edwards and Joey Marella
The show opens with highlights from the Terrific Tussle match narrated by Bob Caudle. This includes the debut of seven new superstars, the dual eliminations of Ronnie Garvin and Billy Graham and Braun Strowman and Big E Langston, Hulk Hogan trying to crash the match as Col. DeBeers, Eddie Kingston and Terry Funk fighting in the crowd and Chris Jericho winning from the one spot.
We go live in studio. Caudle said we’ll be hearing from some of those grapplers, including Jericho, on today’s program; but first some new business with Col. Robert Fuller, Vice President of Operations. Fuller comes out holding the old Gulf Coast Title belt. He said with the influx of new talent, they decided to revive the Gulf Coast Title to give talent three singles belts to pursue. Preliminary matches will be on television with the semifinals at Winter Wonderland and the finals at KaufMania.
The two matches tonight will feature two of the new superstars going against two established CCW wrestler who weren’t in the Terrific Tussle. Fuller says CCW is the land of opportunity for all.
“Marvelous” Marc Mero advances in the Gulf Coast Title tournament by defeating Brad Armstrong by pinfall at 8:50. The match is pretty fast paced and high flying, very back and forth. Mero wins with the shooting star press.

SoCal Val is doing interviews ringside tonight. She welcomes Chris Jericho. He thanks Tom Magee and all the CCW fans for being behind him as he won the Terrific Tussle from the number one position. A lot of people doubted him when he volunteered to start the match, but he knew he could do it and so did all of you.
He’s interrupted by Col. DeBeers. DeBeers talks about how he never officially entered the Tussle because he got jumped by Hulk Hogan in the back, who took his place. Since he never officially entered, he never officially got eliminated. Therefore, Jericho is a false winner and he challenges him to a match for the Universal Title shot at KaufMania. Jericho doesn’t have to give Col. DeBeerGut what he wants, but Y2J doesn’t want there to be any asterisks on his Tussle win and agrees.
Ron “The Truth” Killings advances in the Gulf Coast Title Tournament by defeating Koko B. Ware by pinfall at 9:03. Ware starts off fast with a series of dropkicks and arm drags. Killings bails to the outside and sidesteps a suicide dive. Ron controls most of the rest of the way and wins with the What’s Up Drop.

Mero is waiting for Killings as he returns to the back. Mero tossed Killings in the Tussle, but the officials were occupied and Killings nailed Mero with a chair and tossed him. C’mon man, that was like a week ago, let bygones bygones, we brothers have to stick together. Mero isn’t black, he’s just deeply tanned. Sounds like he should be worried more about skin cancer than Killings. Mero says he hopes they both get to the finals of the Gulf Coast title tournament and then he’ll get his revenge.
Molly Holly and Mickie James goes to a 15-minute time limit draw. James is ballistic afterward and demands the match continue. Don’t you know who her husband is? Don’t go to commercial, get this match going again…

SoCal Val is at ringside with Hulk Hogan. She asks him about dressing up as Col. DeBeers and entering the Tussle. He ignores the question and starts talking about how Andy Kaufman screwed him again and he wasn’t even at the Terrific Tussle. Big Bossman got the nightstick down, but Hogan used it to get the pinfall. Kaufman makes up the rules as he goes along, well, so does Hogan. If Kaufman is in the building, which he doubts, he wants him to come out.
Bossman comes out instead with his nightstick out and jawing at Hogan. As they have a verbal war of words, Yokozuna comes out and attacks Hogan. He gets him down and works a nerve hold as Bossman holds off officials and security. Caudle says they’re going to commercial while control is regained.

With about the first minute clipped, the bulk of the submission match from Terrific Tussle between Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson is shown. Atlas wins with the Torture Rack.

Caudle said showing the submission match was an audible as chaos was still reigning in the studio. Footage is shown of what happened. Eventually several wrestlers came out from the back and managed to get Bossman and Yokozuna to get off Hogan and go to the back. Hogan is convulsing on the floor and has to be wheeled out on a stretcher. Helping wrestlers were The Patriot, Junkyard Dog, Eddie Kingston, Marc Mero, Koko B. Ware, Fantastics and Brad Armstrong.
The Patriot and Junkyard Dog defeated Even Stevens (Steve Keirn and Steve Lombardi) by pinfall at 6:30. JYD pins Keirn after the Big Thump. Caudle on commentary mention how Matt Borne has disbanded the Legion of Doinks. While Ray Apollo was released, but Keirn and Lombardi are continuing on as a team, just without the clown gimmicks.

Eddie Kingston is at ringside with SoCal Val. First, he wants to congratulate Chris Jericho on winning the Tussle match. He wanted to be the one that takes the Universal Title and shoves it up Nick Aldis’ rear end sideways, but he hopes Jericho will do it for the good of the UWA.
Next, he wants to address Terry Funk. And if there’s somebody else that needs something jammed up his ass sideways, it’s Funk and his branding iron. This draws Terry and Dory Jr. out. A reasonable man would probably give up going after Eddie and the CCW World Title by now, but Terry Funk is not a reasonable man. Eddie challenges the Funks to a tag match on Superstar Saturday. Who is his partner? They’ll see.
The Koloffs (Ivan and Nikita) defeated The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers and Bobby Fulton) by pinfall at 5:23. Rogers falls to a front and back Russian Sickle. Caudle mentions how Nikita had an amazing showing at the Tussle, including eliminating Hogan. This is Ivan’s debut.
