CCW Terrific Tussle 2021
Commentators: Bob Caudle and Dutch Mantel
Ring Announcer: Mike McGuirk
Backstage Interviewer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Aubrey Edwards and Joey Marella
The show opens with Andy Kaufman in a tuxedo standing on the patio of a penthouse. He wishes he could be there with all the plebians in Beaumont, Texas, for New Year’s Eve, but…wait…no he doesn’t. He’d rather be with all his famous Hollywood friends at a party with the caviar and champagne, not in the Ford Arena with cheap beer and nachos. He’ll be watching, of course, especially the nightstick match between Hulk Hogan and the Big Bossman.

CCW Women’s Title Match
Tessa Blanchard (c) with “Sensational” Sherri Martel vs. Dr. Britt Baker, DMD
Referee: Aubrey Edwards
Blanchard with a military press and she turns to all four sides of the arena to show off her strength. She drops Britt on her face, walks over her to the ropes, and then gets a springboard moonsault for two. Double arm suplex for two. Blanchard goes to the top rope. Baker meets her up there and delivers a super monkey flip. Both women down. They get up and Baker gets a Slingblade for two. Fireman’s carry neckbreaker for two. Rainbaker. She covers for one…two…th…Sherri pulls her out to the floor.
Sherri walks off like she didn’t do anything, although it was pretty obvious. Baker nails Martel with an elbow smash to the back of the head. She angrily boots Sherri on the floor. Blanchard nails Baker with a Blockbuster coming off the apron. She throws Baker into the ring stairs and then rolls back into the ring. She’s happy to take the count out win, but Baker makes it to the apron at eight. Tessa gets a rope assisted DDT. Back up top and she gets the Magnum diving double knee facebreaker. Buzzsaw.
WINNER: Tessa Blanchard by pinfall at 15:49
SoCal Val is in the back with Dr. of Style, Slick. He’s got no men in the Terrific Tussle match, but he’s got a big night of winning ahead of him. First, Rocky Johnson is going to make Tony Atlas submit to the Boston Crab without a referee to save him. Then, Power Station is finally going to get their shot at the CCW Tag Team Titles held by Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith. It won’t matter that Junkyard Dog and the Patriot have skirted the tag team rules to both get into the Terrific Tussle. It won’t matter that the Universal Tag Team Champions Strike Force are looking past Power Station to request a match with Hart and Smith. All that will matter is the Jive Soul Bros will be winner-winner-chicken dinner tonight.

Nightstick on a Pole Match
“The Immortal” Hulk Hogan vs. Big Bossman
Referee: Joey Marella
Bossman jumps Hogan at the bell while he’s still posing and beats him down. He whips Hogan into the corner and gets an avalanche. He brings Hogan out of the corner with a belly to belly suplex. He climbs for the nightstick, but Hogan catches him and peels him off the top. Hogan with a knee drop. He whips Bossman into the ropes and gets a scoop slam. Hogan climbs. Bossman takes him off the top with an electric chair drop. He gets a gutbuster and climbs again. Hogan goes up top with Bossman and takes him off with a super back suplex. Both men down. Hogan up first and climbs, but Bossman catches him and takes him down with a running powerbomb. Bossman Slam. Bossman climbs and gets the nightstick. He comes down with it and goes to nail Hogan with it, but he blocks it and kicks Bossman in the gut. He takes the nightstick and uses it to hit three Axe Bombers. Leg drop with the nightstick under his leg. He covers and gets the three count.
Hogan is celebrating, but the Kaufman-tron comes to life. Andy Kaufman is shown at his swank Hollywood party watching the show on a big screen television. Kaufman calls Hogan and Marella idiots for not understanding the rules of the match. You had to retrieve the nightstick to win, not use it to get the win. He reverses the decision. The fans boo and Hogan is shocked and upset.
WINNER: Big Bossman by reverse decision at 10:30
“Sensational” Sherri Martel is in the back with Eli Drake talking with SoCal Val. She came into the pay-per-view with two champions and she’s going to leave that way. Blanchard already retained over Britt Baker earlier. Now, Drake will retain over Jock Samson. Her old boyfriend, who just can’t let her go, Robert Fuller thinks he’s going to screw Drake by making it so he can lose the CCW Television Title on a count out or disqualification. Don’t make her laugh. Drake has all the skills and Sherri in his corner. He doesn’t need to take a walk and he doesn’t need to use a cheap shot to beat a fat, beer swilling loser like Jock Samson.

Submission Match – No Referee Stoppage
Rocky Johnson with Dr. of Style, Slick vs. “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas
Referee: Tommy Young
Back in the ring, Atlas whips Johnson into the ring and gets a high angle spinebuster. Butterfly suplex. Atlas pounds on the back. Gorilla press slam. He puts Johnson in a torture rack and cranks it on. Slick on the apron and Atlas spins, so Rocky’s foot nails Slick and he falls to the floor. However, being close to the ropes allows Johnson to hook the top rope with his foot. Atlas tries to go back to the middle of the ring, but he stumbles because of the hooked foot and Johnson gets free. Atlas recovers and goes after Johnson, but eats a discus elbow smash. Rocky Shuffle boxing punches. Death Valley Driver. Johnson goes to the Boston Crab. Atlas powers up and breaks it. They both go into the ropes. Johnson ducks a clothesline, but gets nailed with a spinning Polish Hammer. Atlas with a splash to the back. Back to the torture rack. He cranks it on and Johnson finally submits.
WINNER: Tony Atlas by submission at 15:02
SoCal Val is in the back with Hulk Hogan. He knew that snake in the grass Andy Kaufman would steal another win from him no matter what he did. Kaufman’s lucky he’s not there or he would shove this nightstick where the sun don’t shine. Val asks about Hogan not being in the Terrific Tussle and having a chance to win a Universal Men’s Title shot. Hogan has never let the Hulkamaniacs down before and he’s not going to now. He said he would get that title match somehow, by hook or by crook, Andy Kaufman or no Andy Kaufman, and he will.

SoCal Val has Hart and Smith. They’re tired of Slick running his mouth. He wanted Power Station to get a title match from day one, before they even had a match. They said prove themselves and they have. But, the champs have proved themselves day in and day out for months. They want a Universal Title shot against Strike Force and Strike Force wants the bout too. Why? Because Hart and Smith have proven themselves to be not only the greatest tag team in CCW, but all of the new UWA. If Power Station can win tonight, okay, but they’ve got no room to brag until they do.
