PRO WRESTLING X
"PWX: RUSH, EP. 6" on PARAMOUNT +
From the Chartway Arena
Norfolk, Virginia
Recorded 11/29/2021
Streamed 12/08/2021
To kick off the show we get the new PWX Premier Champion, Diamond Dallas Page, and he is here to tell everybody to make sure to watch "PWX 10" on Christmas Eve, live on the Paramount Network at 8PM from Tampa, Florida! Oh, and if you freaks need another reason to tune in, The Champ himself is going to be on commentary carrying Jimmy and Josh and scoping out who's the next punk that's gonna FEEL. THE. BANG!
We then head to ringside, where Jimmy Smith and Josh Barnett are sitting in, ready to call the action.
Josh says he can't wait for DDP to show up on commentary, as Lord knows he could use the help. Jimmy then runs down the show, where they point out that former World Champion Seth Rollins is making his debut tonight against Matt Riddle! He then points out that we will see The Eliminators in tag team action against Mexican wrestling stars Angel Garza and Andrade! We will also be hearing from Darby Allin, who has a response for Brian Pillman, who laid out a challenge to him at "PWX 10". But now, we head to the ring for a match between Christopher Daniels and Malakai Black!
MATCH ONE
X DIVISION RULES
"The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs. Malakai Black
Referee: Tim White
Daniels and Black would trade take downs and holds early, with both men trying to play mind games early. Black would then turn things up with his striking and deliver a Quebrada to get a two count. Daniels would manage to hit a Flying Headscissors, followed by a Dropkick to send Black out of the ring. Daniels would deliver an Asai Moonsault with picture perfect form, popping the Norfolk crowd. Black would manage to reverse a whip from Daniels on the outside, sending him into the railing and then hitting a Running High Kick to nearly send him into the crowd. Black sends Daniels back into the ring and heads up top. Black jumps off but Daniels rolls out of the way and Black rolls through. Daniels kicks Black and tries for the Angels Wings, but Black blocks it and escapes, delivering series of strikes, and then a Brainbuster! Black goes for the cover, but he pulls up Daniels off the mat! The fans boo and Tim White protests! Black pulls Daniels up by his arm to his knee and then delivers a Black Mass, twisting Daniels inside out, and then Black steps on his chest to get the three count. Josh Barnett points out the clear lack of respect for Daniels shown by Black and Jimmy says that the fans don't seem to appreciate it one bit.
Winner by Pinfall: Malakai Black
Black sits in the center of the ring with his legs crossed as he is brought a microphone and Daniels rolls out of the ring.
"Welcome to the House of Black!"
He gets a mixed reaction here, mostly boos.
"And the House of Black has spoken. My rise is imminent. It hasn't come without set backs, pitfalls, and disappointments, but yet here I am, and here I sit, speaking the truth to all of you! And I hear you all. Your judgement comes as no surprise to me, but I do not measure my success or plan my actions based on your pleasure or approval. No, I calculate my steps and make my moves on a scale incomprehensible to any of you, and that brings with it a great loneliness, because that is the price of conquest. Your judgement does not cause me pause, and I will not yield in my quest for dominance. And I have carefully chosen my next conquest.
"You see, there is a man who struck fear into many hearts with a single kick last month, and he changed the entire course of PWX history in doing so. Low Ki... at 'PWX 10', it is the House of Black that will strike fear into you."
The lights go out and when they come back up, Black is gone. We head back to ringside, as both Jimmy and Josh salivate at the idea of Black vs. Ki at "PWX 10".
We go to the bowels of the arena where we see Darby Allin sitting against a wall.
"All my life, I've had to deal with guys like Brian Pillman trying to push me around and tell me how they are better than me. And even after we had our match in Philly, and I pinned him to the mat, one, two, three... it doesn't matter. He still thinks he is better than me, and there are other people out there that think the same thing. And I'll be honest, that pisses me off. So yeah, Brian, if you want to have another match, we can have another match. You want it X Division rules? That's good with me, because it doesn't change anything. At 'PWX 9', I pinned you. I beat you, fair and square. At 'PWX 10', I'm going to do the same thing. And you know what? It probably isn't going to change anything, because no matter what happens, there are just going to be people who count me out and tell me I'm not good enough, but it doesn't matter... because I'm going to just keep proving them wrong.
"See you in Tampa, Brian. Bring all of your excuses with you, too, because you're going to need them after I beat you again."
We cut back to ringside, as we get ready for the second match of the evening.
MATCH TWO
TAG TEAM RULES
Angel Garza & Andrade vs. The Eliminators: Saturn and Kronus
Referee: Chad Patton
Garza and Andrade looked very confident and were downright cocky early on in the match, but that didn't last long. The Eliminators were on a mission, and they used their wide array of kicks, suplexes, and high impact moves to put a hurting on the Mexican stars. They would end up delivering the Total Elimination to Garza to get the pinfall.
Winners by Pinfall: The Eliminators
After the match, Perry Saturn gets on the microphone.
"Hey you cowards, Benjamin and Haas! You guys got any free time from kissin' Kurt Angle's ass, maybe you could show up in Tampa and have a fight with us!? How about it!?"
The fans here in Norfolk seem to like that idea. Kronus grabs the microphone.
"YOU THINK YOU'RE THE BEST!?! YOU THINK YOU'RE THE GREATEST?!? WHY DON'T YOU STEP INTO THIS RING, AND WE'LL GO OUT OF OUR MINDS!!!"
Kronus throws down the microphone and the fans cheer for The Eliminators, who keep it short and sweet. Jimmy and Josh reminds the fans that at "PWX 9" it was The Eliminators who came out and tried to help Chris Benoit, who looked like he might try to attack Angle, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas after he and Angle's match went to a draw. And now we might get a blockbuster tag team match out of it!
We get a voice over by Dasha Gonzalez, who let's us know that next week we will have a "RUSH" taping from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina! She says on next week's show we will see Chris Benoit in action, as she will be trying to find out what is next for Benoit and Kurt Angle.
She then sends things back to the ring, as we get ready to BURN IT DOWN for the first time here in PWX!
MATCH THREE
SINGLES RULES
"The Original Bro" Matt Riddle vs. "The Messiah" Seth Rollins
Referee: Charles Robinson
Riddle was the heavy underdog here, but somebody forgot to tell him that. Riddle came right out of the gate looking sharp, taking Rollins down multiple times with a waist lock and then delivering a series of gutwrench suplexes. Rollins would manage to gain some momentum with a headlock takedown and then delivered an Enzuigiri that sent Riddle out of the ring. Rollins would attempt to deliver a Suicide Dive through the ropes, but "The Original Bro" would catch him with a knee strike mid-move, hanging the former World Champion up in the ropes! Riddle would then grab Rollins and hit a Suplex on the ramp! Riddle sent things back into the ring and would come off the top with the Floating Bro, but only got a two count! The fans were behind Riddle, thinking he might be able to win this thing as he set Rollins up for the Bro Derek, but Rollins reversed it and hit a Lifting Reverse DDT for a two count! Rollins would lift Riddle up off the mat, but Riddle would deliver a series of strikes that sent Rollins into the buckles. Riddle would run from the opposite side and try to deliver an Elbow Strike to Rollins, but Rollins dodged it and kicked Riddle to the back of the head. Rollins then grabbed Riddle and delivered a Buckle Bomb! From there, "The Messiah" smashed Riddle into the mat with the Curb Stomp, and it was all over! Rollins gets the pinfall after a tough debut.
Winner by Pinfall: Seth Rollins
After the match, Rollins gets on the microphone, but he is clearly exhausted.
"Well, Matt Riddle, you did a pretty good job there, but it just wasn't good enough!"
Rollins smiles, breathing heavily as the fans give him a loud, mostly negative response.
"No, really, he's pretty great, but he's not Seth FUCKIN' ROLLINS!"
That gets a pretty big cheer.
"And while everything has been going pretty good here in PWX, it was clear something big needed to happen. It was clear this place needed a true ICON to bring it to the promised land... and 'The Messiah' has arrived! And I am putting down all false idols! That is why at 'PWX 10', I am going to EXPOSE Shawn Michaels on my way back to championship glory!"
This gets a huge pop just for the match announcement!
"Shawn, for YEARS I've had to listen to this crap about you being the best in ring performer this sport has ever seen! And while you've had some iconic moments, and you're surely one of the IMMORTALS in this sport... next to Seth Rollins, you're nothing but PEDESTRIAN in the presence of THE G.O.A.T.!"
Rollins drops the microphone as the shows comes to a close.
