The Motor City Machine Guns: Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick
The fans get a fun one to kick off this "Rush" taping. Shelley and Sabin were showing a bit of mean streak here tonight, as they were targeting the ribs of Kendrick early. Sabin and Shelley would make quick tags and kept the pressure on Kendrick, grounding him and really stretching him out. The Virginia crowd would get behind Kendrick, who would manage to reverse a Powerbomb attempt by Sabin into a Sunset Flip and then leaped across the ring to tag in London. London delivers a pair of Dropsaults, as he catches Sabin with one that sends him out of the ring and then pops Shelley with one to send him off the apron. London comes off the top to deliver a Shooting Star Plancha to both of the Detroit natives on the floor and gets a huge pop from the crowd! London hurt himself a bit on that one, though, and he was a step slow trying to get back to the top rope. Sabin would catch him coming off the top with a rib breaker and then tagged out to Shelley. Sabin runs over and knocks Kendrick off the apron as Shelley delivers a picture perfect Frog Splash to get the three count for his team.
Winners by Pinfall: The Motor City Machine Guns
We go backstage, where Brian Pillman is standing in with Dasha Gonzalez. Dasha points out that Pillman did not seem to take his loss to Darby Allin very well at "PWX 9", and this sends Pillman into a tirade.
"Show me a good loser, Dasha, and I'll show you a loser! I didn't come to PWX to continue to lose! I came here to reinvent myself! I came here to make things right! And I showed everyone out there that as good as Darby Allin might be, he's not in the league of Brian Pillman! But as fate would have it, the best man did not win, Dasha. No, it was Darby Allin getting his scrawny little arm raised as I once again felt humiliation and denigration in front of those ingrates in Philadelphia! Well I'm sick of it! I'm tired of it! And I'm gonna do somethin' about it! Darby, you and I both know you're not half the man I am, and you couldn't beat me again if your life depended on it! Well, I tell you what, Darby, my life does depend on it! My life depends on beating you, because I ain't got much of a life if I can't make a living and provide for my family. So Darby, here it is. You and me, one more time, X Division rules this time. Your type of match. I want one more shot at it, and I think you probably want to show that wasn't a damn fluke yourself. So, how about it, Darbs? You and me, one more, and I promise you all this: If I can't pin Darby Allin's shoulders to the mat, or I can't make him tap out, then I'm gonna pack my bags and hit the road, Jack, because I don't belong in a wrestling ring!"
Dasha says that tonight Brian Pillman has a match with Ricochet.
"Ricochet, Ricochet, Ricochet... the people love you, man, hell, the boys love you. I mean, you're like a real life superhero! BOOM, ZAP, POW! All that shit... Well, tonight, you're going to need every flip, dive, and kick you got in your arsenal to hang with Brian Pillman. Bring everything you've got! I want your best shot, pal, because I'm hungry... and I'm driven... and that makes me very dangerous. I'm ready for a fight. I got demons exorcise tonight, Ricochet, and you're in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Darby, you watch tonight and you make your decision. I'll be waiting."
Brian turns to his left and takes off as Dasha sends things back to Jimmy Smith and Josh Barnett at ringside.
MJF vs. Matt Sydal
MJF would feed off the boos of the crowd, working the always popular Matt Sydal tonight. MJF would work over the arm the entire match, but Sydal would show heart and looked like he might win near the end. Sydal would attempt to hit his Lightning Spiral, but MJF would reverse it into a Double Knee Armbreaker, following up with the Salt of the Earth to get the tap out victory.
Winner by Submission: MJF
MJF gets on the microphone and tells the fans to shut their disgusting mouths, because the collective smell of their shit breath is about to knock him unconscious! He says there's a guy around here calling for title matches going by the name... Damian Priest. MJF kind of laughs and scoffs, adding, "It's that your real name," before stating he thinks he should be the one getting title shots around here, and Priest needs to shut his mouth and do his job, and that's jerkin' the curtain! He says Eric Bischoff has his number and he needs to shoot him a text and let him know when his title shot is coming, because he is impatiently waiting.
We get a teaser promo for former MUW World Heavyweight Champion SETH F'N ROLLINS that says "BURNING IT DOWN NEXT WEEK ON RUSH!"
Jimmy and Josh have a big discussion about that, as that is absolutely huge news for PWX!
Brian Pillman vs. Ricochet
The fans are solidly behind Ricochet here, though Ricochet has taped up ribs. Josh Barnett points out that Ricochet is still hurting from that amazing yet disastorous dive he took through a table at "PWX 9" as Ricochet starts off hot and backs Pillman into the ropes. Pillman tries to ask referee Jim Korderas to back up Ricochet, but Jim reminds Pillman about the X Division rules in this contest, and Ricochet proceeds to kick Pillman out of the ropes and to the outside! Ricochet shows his flying prowess, running and hitting a Fosbury Flop onto Pillman on the floor, but he is holding his ribs in agony after that. Pillman takes the opportunity to take a breather on the outside and when Ricochet tries to go back on the attack he gauges the eyes and then sends him ribs first into the ring steps! Pillman sends Ricochet inside and then goes up top, flying off with a Crossbody Block and goes for the cover, but only a two count!
Pillman locks on a grounded Abdominal Stretch on Ricochet and tells the fans to "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" as he then begins to punch Ricochet in the ribcage. The fans are cheering for Ricochet, willing him to get to his feet. Ricochet manages to get to a vertical base, but Pillman delivers a knee to the ribs to shut that down. Pillman grabs Ricochet and seems to be looking for a Backbreaker, but Ricochet flips over it and has Pillman caught in a Reverse DDT! Ricochet goes for the cover, but only a two! Ricochet fires up and gets the crowd behind him and then delivers a series of strikes to Pillman. Ricochet tries to lift Pillman onto his shoulders for the Recoil, but he seems to double over and grabs his ribs. Pillman slides off the back and then leaps up, grabbing Ricochet and delivering a Lungblower! Pillman picks up Ricochet and drills him to the mat with a Snap Double Arm DDT, and it's all over. Pillman gets the win!
Winner by Pinfall: Brian Pillman
Pillman grabs the camera after the match.
"Accept the challenge, Darby! Accept your fate!"
The show then comes to an end.
