Superstar Saturday Episode 40
Taped at the Andy Kaufman Studios in Dothan, AlabamaCommentators: Bob Caudle and Dutch Mantel
Ring Announcer: Mike McGuirk
Interviewer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Aubrey Edwards and Joey Marella
Caudle and Mantel welcome everyone to the show and profile what’s to come. Caudle introduces Mike McGuirk as the new ring announcer with SoCal Val moved to backstage interviews as Honky Tonk Man has left the promotion. Caudle said some others have left CCW and new stars will be debuting in the coming weeks with several surprises planned for the Terrific Tussle on New Year’s Eve.
He mentions how Chris Jericho volunteered to enter the Terrific Tussle match at number on the last Wednesday Warfare. Jericho comes out at a slow jog in a track suit. Tom Magee, his trainer, is with him. Caudle asks Jericho what he thinks his odds are of winning from number one. Jericho says 100%. Magee kind of rolls his eyes. Caudle asks what will happen if Magee and Jericho meet up in the match. Magee will do what he has to. But right now, what he has to do is get Jericho ready to run through the other 29 men, including himself if it comes to it.
Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, defeated Nikki Cross to become the number one contender for the CCW Women’s Title by pinfall at 12:23 via Baker Buster.

Prior to the start of the next match, Slick gives referee Tommy Young a Christmas fruit basket as thanks for saving Tony Atlas’ career by calling the match between Atlas and Rocky Johnson at Thanksgiving Throwdown. Slick knows Atlas won’t thank Young, but Johnson would have been real torn up if he ended is former friend’s career.
The Patriot defeated Will Hobbs with Dr. of Style, Slick by pinfall at 8:40 via Patriot Missile. Slick tries to interfere, but Junkyard Dog appears and runs him to the back. A distracted Hobbs eats a Breakdown and running power slam to setup the finish.
SoCal Val is in the back with Hulk Hogan, who will be competing in the first casket match ever on free television. The 12-foot tall Underfaker can’t deal with the 28-inch pythons and the 2.3 million Hulkmaniacs that will be helping the Hulkster to nail the casket lid shut. Once he buries the Underfaker, that stinky, wart infested Andy Kaufman is next. Remember kids to say your vitamins, eat your prayers and drink a gallon of milk a day.

Eddie Kingston, Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith defeated the Funk Brothers and Big E Langston at 14:50 by pinfall of Smith on Dory via a running power slam. After the match, Terry clears the ring with the branding iron. Terry extends his hand to Big E, who just stares at it and then leaves without saying anything.
SoCal Val is in the back with Sherri Martel and Eli Drake. Drake is tired of bouncing back and forth between Billy Graham and Jock Samson for months now. He’s the CCW Television Champion and should be defending the title against the best of the best, not a has-been and a never-will-be. Sherri once again accused Robert Fuller of holding her man down because of their previous relationship. The talent of Eli Drake cannot and will not be denied, that’s just a fact of life.

Marcus Alexander Bagwell with Kamille York defeated “The Man with the Hands of Stone” Ronnie Garvin by pinfall at 9:22 via Buff Blockbuster. Bagwell ducks the Superman punch and Garvin gets hung up in the ropes. Bagwell hits a jumping neckbreaker to bring Garvin off of the ropes. Pump handle slam sets up the finish. By losing, Garvin doesn’t get a UWA Men’s Title shot.
We cut to the back where Robert Fuller is on the phone with Universal Men’s Champion Nicholas Aldis. Aldis said he can’t be there because he’s in demand all over the UWA. Hell, ETW is just paying him to show up at their next TV taping. Fuller reminds him that CCW is his home promotion. Well, it doesn’t have to be. You don’t think any promotion in the UWA would want Aldis and would pay whatever legal fight to get Aldis out of his CCW contract, especially a richer fed like WWE or PWX. Fuller back peddles. He’ll do whatever it takes to make the champ happy. You know there’s a saying – happy wife, happy life. Fuller knows who Aldis is married to and where she’s at. He can probably connect the dots from there.

“The Appalachian Outlaw” Jock Samson defeated Eli Drake with “Sensational” Sherri Martel by count out at 15:05. Samson doesn’t get the CCW Television Title. Drake nails the Blunt Force Trauma for a two count. He follows with the Bottom Rung, but Jock gets his foot on the bottom rope on the cover. He goes for the Gravy Train, but Jock fights out of it and gets an STO backbreaker into a neckbreaker. He lines up the three-point stance clothesline, but Sherri pulls Drake out of the ring and they take a walk. Drake from the entrance stage congratulates his opponent on another signature Jock Samson win.
Bagwell and Kamille are in the back with SoCal Val. Bagwell gloats over denying Garvin his Universal Title Match. The only way he can get one now is by winning the Terrific Tussle and that’s not happening. Also, the York Foundation haven’t given up on the CCW Tag Team Titles held by Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith yet. The York Foundation has all the momentum right now and they’ve got one more combination for a title shot. At Terrific Tussle it will be Martin Jannetty and Marcus Alexander Bagwell against Smith and Hart.

“The Immortal” Hulk Hogan defeated the Underfaker in a casket match by putting UF inside and closing the lid at 15:33. Underfaker runs through the usual Undertaker moves. Hogan hulks up and comes back by whipping UF with his weight belt. Underfaker slides under the big boot and comes up behind Hulk for a series of upper cut thrusts. Flying forearm. Last Ride. UF does the kneeling pose, but Hogan does the UF setup. He hulks up again. He hits his own version of the Last Ride, then gets the leg drop and rolls UF into the casket. Big Bossman runs out and tries to attack Hogan with the nightstick before he can close the lid. Hogan ducks Bossman, slugs away and gets an Axe Bomber on the outside. UF sits up in the casket, but Hogan nails him with the nightstick and shuts the lid.
Hogan demands Kaufman show himself. He appears on the Kaufmantron sitting in a high back chair and stroking a white cat like a James Bond villain. Kaufman applauds Hogan on the hard fought win. He wishes him luck in the Terrific Tussle. Oh, wait…Hogan won’t be in the match and possibly earn a Universal Men’s Title Shot he covets so bad. He’ll be facing the Big Bossman in a nightstick on a pole match instead.
