“Stone Cold” Steve Austin came to the ring and said that plane mechanical problems kept him from getting to Smackdown last week, and that was shame because he was fixing to open up a can of whoop ass on those billionaire jackasses in the Billion Dollar Corporation. Now, it’s been two goddamn weeks since he’s been in a fight and he ain’t waiting another goddamn minute so he wants the BDC to come to the ring right now so he can whip their asses! The Billion Dollar Corporation showed up on stage accompanied by at least a dozen private security guards. They said that tonight was too important a night for them to be bothered with the distractions of a drunk redneck so they’ve hired this security detail to keep people like Austin, Cena and the Dudleys from interfering in tonight’s Smackdown World Championship title match between Sting and John Bradshaw Layfield. One attempt by Austin to get to them and the best security guards money can buy will beat him so bad he’ll never be deemed medically fit to compete again!
Ember Moon defeated Bayley by pinfall at 13:48 after executing the Eclipse on the Smackdown Women’s Champion. Ember Moon lifted Bayley into the air for a vertical suplex, but Bayley slipped free and jumped on Moon’s back for a sleeperhold. Moon tried to shake Bayley, and as she did, she backed up quickly into the referee, knocked her through the ropes and onto the floor. Bayley racked Moon’s eyes and gave her a Bayley-to-Belly suplex before leaving the ring to get a chair. She sized up Moon for a chairshot but the chair was ripped out of her hands by Becky Lynch! “The Man” stabbed at her with the chair and smacked it across her back before giving her the Manhandle Slam. Lynch helped the referee back into the ring as Moon was getting to her feet. Moon then went to the turnbuckle and waited for Bayley to get up to finish her off.
Mean Gene Okerlund met with Paige and Kris Statlander to ask them about their debut matches on Smackdown. Peyton Royce and Billie Kay of the IIconics said they were both letting those wins go to their heads and said they couldn’t defeat them again. Paige and Statlander disagreed. The IIconics told them to prove it next week, only this time in a tag team match. Paige and Statlander accepted the challenge.
“Cowboy” James Storm defeated Bubba Ray Dudley by pinfall at 6:40 after the Cowboy gave Bubba a Last Call superkick. Bubba let his guard down when he went to knock “Glorious” Bobby Roode off the ring apron. When he turned around, Storm’s foot connected with Bubba’s chin. When D-Von entered the ring to check on his brother, Storm and Roode attacked him. They finished off their attack on D-Von by giving him Drinking While Investing.
Mean Gene Okerlund spoke to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, who said that no amount of idiot private security guards could keep him from getting at the BDC tonight. Just as soon as he finished saying that, the Texas Rattlesnake was swarmed by a dozen security guards. Austin fought off a few of them, even rattling off a pair of Stone Cold Stunners, but the numbers caught up to him. They gang beat him all the way to a loading dock area where they tossed Austin into a dumpster, chained it up and locked it shut.
Lucha Bros. defeated The Young Bucks by pinfall at 17:25. These two sets of brothers were no strangers to each other but were competing against one another for the first time inside a WWE ring. The Young Bucks, making their WWE debut, acquitted themselves well in a high-risk, fast-paced contest that saw a lot of innovative big risks taken by both teams and several 2-count pinfalls. Nick and Matt Jackson looked like they were going for a Meltzer Driver on Penta El 0M, but Rey Fénix intercepted on the springboard somersault with a springboard missile dropkick out of mid-air, saving his brother from the spike piledriver. After that, they nailed Matt Jackson with double superkicks and gave Nick Jackson the diving double-foot stomp package piledriver combo for the finish.
Mean Gene was with the Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation who said that things have been quiet for them since winning the titles and beating The Miz and John Morrison in a rematch. They don’t have any teams stepping up as challengers to them for Survivor Series, but since they want to prove that they are the best tag team in the business today, they want to challenge another championship calibre team they never had the chance to challenge for their titles, Harlem Heat! Booker T and Stevie Ray have had a run like none other. They were the only tag team in WWE to hold tag team gold. Not anymore. If they want to prove that they are the best team in the business, they’ll accept this challenger – champions versus champions at Survivor Series!
Brian Cage defeated The Miz by disqualification at 10:07. John Morrison tripped Cage as he climbed the turnbuckle, allowing The Miz to go to the top rope and execute a superplex. The Miz pinned Cage, but he kicked out. The Miz went for a Skull-Crushing Finale, but Cage powered out of it and nailed a short-arm lariat followed by the Cage Breaker powerbomb. He covered The Miz but didn’t get the three-count as Morrison entered the ring and hit Cage in the back with a steel chair. Morrison kept up the assault until Daniel Bryan ran to the ring to make the save.
In another episode of the Firefly Funhouse, Bray Wyatt was visited by Paul Bearer, who delivered a reply to the letter Wyatt sent to ‘Mean Mark’ a week ago. Wyatt read the letter aloud, which said that a Deadman will rise on November 19, not in search of forgiveness, but vengeance. Wyatt tells his fireflies not to be scared of the Deadman because in here death cannot harm them. In here, they are safe. But out there, it is a dark, cruel world where no one is safe. Not even the dead. That is the way The Fiend likes it.
Sting successfully defended his WWE Smackdown World Championship against John Bradshaw Layfield when he made him submit to the Scorpion Death Lock at 18:16. Sting’s title reign appeared to be in jeopardy when “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, who had been a guest on commentary, got up and hit Sting across the back with the steel chair he had been sitting on. DiBiase picked up Sting and tosses him into the ring where JBL picked him up and gave him a JBL Bomb. He covered Sting. 1…2… kick out! JBL couldn’t believe it. DiBiase got up on the apron to protest the count with JBL. Meanwhile, Bobby Roode and James Storm came out to go to the ring, but they were stopped from getting at Sting by John Cena, who rushed out to stop them from getting to the ring. The BDC’s hired security then attacked Cena. Meanwhile, Sting had the opportunity to recover and when JBL went for a Clothesline from Wall Street, Sting ducked it and dropkicked JBL. After bouncing off the ropes, Sting gave JBL a running bulldog and then put him in the Scorpion Death Lock to get the win.
After the match was decided, DiBiase jumped into the ring and hit a knockout punch thanks to his loaded black glove. The entire BDC ganged up on Cena. Moments later, the Dudley Boyz appeared on stage with a dumpster and a pair of bolt cutters. They snapped the chain on the dumpster and out popped “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Austin, Bubba Ray and D-Von took out the BDC security detail and then brawled with the BDC. Austin isolated Irwin R. Schyster and fought with him up the ramp and to the stage. He gave IRS a Stone Cold Stunner and then went backstage for a moment. Coming back with a microphone, he stopped the BDC’s mugging of the other faces when he demanded a match with DiBiase next week or else he was going to give IRS a ride in the dumpster off the side of the stage. DiBiase said he couldn’t be blackmailed, so DiBiase tossed IRS into the dumpster and started toward the side of the stage. DiBiase relented and agreed. Austin thanked him for giving him what he wanted but then pushed the dumpster off the side of the stage anyway, sending it smashing into the backside of JBL’s stretch limo!
