Pete Dunne defeated PAC by pinfall at 18:33. This hot opener was at times highly technical, but very fast-paced at other times. Both superstars worked stiff. The end sequence began with PAC going to the top rope and Dunne getting to his feet. PAC dove off the top and Dunne hit him with a 4-star forearm smash. He picked him up and gave him a suplex slam, but PAC popped-up and executed a cutter. Both men were out on the mat until PAC rolled towards the ropes. He climbed the turnbuckle and went for the Black Arrow. Dunne rolled in towards the turnbuckle to avoid it. Dunne got up and gave PAC a running step-up enzuigiri and then the Bitter End to get the pinfall.
Renee Young spoke to Kevin Owens about his losses to Sheamus and Cesaro in the past two weeks. Owens said that he was fighting 2-on-1 both weeks and said the results would be different if he had a partner, so next week he wants to face The Bar in a tag team match.
Nyla Rose defeated Ruby Riot by pinfall at 10:26. Rose couldn’t put Riot away with a powerslam, so she went to the top rope, where Riot met her and attempted a frankensteiner. Rose used her power to block, lift her up and execute a sit-out powerbomb off the turnbuckles, which won her the match.
Renee Young caught up with Pete Dunne to get his reaction to defeating “The Bastard” PAC in tonight’s opening match. Dunne said it was the outcome he expected because no one is as brutal a competitor in the ring than “The Bruiserweight.” It was at that time that PAC interrupted and said he knows he is better than Dunne and he wants a rematch. Dunne got lucky and his luck won’t last another match with “The Bastard.” Dunne told PAC that he would gladly beat the crap out of him again. PAC said he barely gave him a scratch. They continued to argue before coming to blows, requiring officials to get between the two surly Brits.
Keith Lee defeated Booker T by pinfall at 11:31 to earn a shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships with a partner of his choosing. Booker T had executed a roundhouse kick and followed it up with an axe kick. Then, he paused to do the Spin-a-roonie, earning a huge pop from the crowd. However, Lee recovered, and when Booker got back up to his feet, Lee sent him flying with a pounce. After that, he quickly lifted Booker onto his shoulders and gave him the Big Bang Catastrophe and pinned him for the win.
Renee Young interviewed WWE Intercontinental Champion Eddie Guerrero, who accepted the official challenge from WWE United States Champion WALTER for a match at Survivor Series. Guerrero said that while WALTER has beaten a legendary list of names this year, including John Cena, The Undertaker, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and even his best friend, Rey Misterio Jr., he has never met the combination of power, speed, and technique that are possessed by Latino Heat. Guerrero said he has all the tools and the tricks of the trade because he can beat you with his power, his speed, his flawless technique, his lucha libre skills, or by lying, cheating or stealing. WALTER, you aren’t ready for Latino Heat! Viva la raza!
Bianca Belair successfully defended her RAW Women’s Championship versus Mickie James when she defeated her by pinfall at 8:47. James went for the Mick-DT, but Belair did a handspring to escape the headlock and avoid impact. She then nailed James with a spear and gave her the Kiss of Death to get the win.
Renee Young caught up with The Bar. Sheamus and Cesaro laughed at the notion that Kevin Owens could compete with either one of them. They accepted his challenge, saying that Owens with a partner will be no better than Owens without a partner.
Adam Cole and Baron Corbin defeated Finn Balor and Bad Luck Fale by pinfall when Cole pinned Balor at 15:38. Balor executed the Coup de Gras on Corbin, but Cole broke up with pinfall. Balor picked up Corbin and went for the Irish whip, but Corbin reversed and gave Balor the Deep Six. Fale came into the ring to break up the pinfall. He backed Corbin into the ropes with a big boot. Cole made the blind tag right before Fale hit Corbin with a running clothesline that sent both big men spilling out to the floor. Cole came in and hit Balor from behind with the Boom! just as he was picking himself up off the mat. Cole made the cover and got the 3-count.
After the match ended, Heenan told Cole to keep up the attack. Triple H and FTR came out to help with the assault. It wasn’t long before AJ Styles and the Good Brothers came out to even the odds and chase the Heenan Family from the ring. Heenan asked for a mic and said this crap was unacceptable and for as long as the Bullet Club kept interfering in Heenan Family business, none of them would ever get a shot at the RAW World Championship. Styles grabbed a mic and proposed that they settle this at Survivor Series. Heenan Family versus Bullet Club – if the Heenan Family wins, they’ll never hear from the Bullet Club again. However, if the Bullet Club wins, every club member gets a shot at the gold. Heenan said absolutely not, but Triple H took the mic from him and said that he wanted to put these losers in their place. The Heenan Family is the dominant group in sports entertainment, and he can’t wait to make it so none of them gets a shot at his title. You’re on!
