WALTER retained the WWE United States Championship by defeating Penta El 0M by submission at 13:28 when he put him in the Gojira Clutch. Penta acquitted himself well in this match and looked to make the upset victory when he went for and executed a Mexican destroyer, but WALTER kicked out. WALTER gave Penta a Golden Bomb and a folding powerbomb, but Penta kicked out of both finishers, so WALTER turned to the submission hold to choke out his opponent. When the match was over, WALTER took a microphone and addressed the comments about him made by Eddie Guerrero. WALTER said he was ready to fight Guerrero in Boston at Survivor Series to show him that the Ring General is the best champion in WWE. All Guerrero has to do is accept his challenge.
Mean Gene Okerlund spoke to Ember Moon who was angry about getting attacked by Bayley last week. She wanted to get payback, so she challenged Bayley to a match next week.
Shayna Baszler defeated Skyler Moore by submission with the Ace of Spades at 1:58. Baszler held onto the devastating finisher long after the match was over, risking the referee reversing the decision.
“Glorious” Bobby Roode defeated D-Von Dudley by pinfall at 8:06. D-Von sent Roode into the ropes and hit him with a spinning back elbow. “Cowboy” James Storm climbed onto the ring apron, distracting D-Von. Storm dropped from the apron when D-Von tried to hit him. By this time, Bubba Ray made it around the ring and attacked Storm. When D-Von turned around, Roode pulled him into a small package for a2-count. D-Von went for a clothesline, but Roode ducked it and then got him with a Glorious DDT. Roode covered for the win.
Mash-Up Wrestling Men’s World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe came to the ring. His appearance came as a total surprise. He said he was here because he got called out a week ago. However, before he addresses those comments, he calls on Reigns and Heyman to come out so he can respond to their faces. Paul Heyman appeared without Reigns. Joe wanted to know if Heyman’s client was a coward. No one who claims to be the Tribal Chief would talk a big game one week and then hide the next. Joe told Heyman to give Reigns a message from him – they aren’t family, Reigns isn’t the head of his table, and he sure as hell isn’t his leader. At Survivor Series, he’s going to have to learn that lesson the hard way. Heyman told Joe to give that message to Reigns himself. Then, he grinned from ear-to-ear as Reigns appeared in the ring behind Joe. As the crowd grew louder, Joe senses something was up. The moment he turned around, he was speared! Roman Reigns pummeled Joe with vicious forearms to the sides of his head. Reigns got up and waited for Joe to start getting up before putting him in a guillotine choke hold. Several officials ran down to the ring. When Reigns finally let go, Joe had been completely incapacitated.
Daniel Bryan defeated John Morrison by pinfall at 11:27. Morrison got an assist from The Miz, helping him to take the advantage, but Bryan fought back and rallied to the point where he was able to get Morrison in the Yes! Lock. However, Morrison was close enough to the ropes for The Miz to grab his foot and loop his toe onto the bottom rope. An argument between Bryan and The Miz allowed Morrison to thumb Bryan in the eyes and execute Moonlight Drive. However, when he went for Starship Pain, Bryan got his knees up. Bryan got up and delivered the Yes! Kicks and then hit the running high knee strike to get the win.
Bray Wyatt hosted another episode of the Firefly Funhouse. This week, he talked to the Fireflies about the old-school art of correspondence through the written word. He asked for help composing a letter to give to Pesky Paul the Postman. Ramblin’ Rabbit, Mercy the Vulture, Huskus the Pig Boy, and Abby the Witch. He wants to always talk about the concept of forgiveness. Once defined, there is some debate over whether the Postman should be forgiven. Wyatt says that he’s just the messenger. He might be pesky, but he isn’t the one who is ultimately responsible for the nasty letter they received last week. No, it is Mean Mark whose malice is beyond reprieve. He is no friend. A friend can be forgiven, but a foe cannot. And The Fiend never forgets. Wyatt puts his letter in an envelope addressed to ‘Mean Mark’ and says he can’t wait to give it to Pesky Paul. Then, he thanks the fireflies for helping him compose his letter. Bye!
Kris Statlander defeated Peyton Royce by pinfall at 6:41 when she executed the Big Bang Theory on the IIconic superstar.
Mean Gene Okerlund spoke to Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley, who said that Ember Moon doesn’t deserve to get in the ring with her next week, but since she needs a delusional opponent to prove a point to a delusion fake champion, she’ll give her the match she wants. When she wipes the floor clean with Moon, let that be an example to Bianca Belair that no one is on the same level asa the Golden Role Model.
Sting & John Cena defeated “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase & Irwin R. Schyster by pinfall at 17:11. About five minutes in, JBL was tossed from ringside for interfering. The Smackdown World Champion, Sting, was used as the personal punching bag of DiBiase and Schyster for several minutes after that. However, he made a hot tag and Cena came in, cleaning house. Cena landed a Five-Knuckle Shuffle on both his opponents. He lifted IRS onto his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment, but DiBiase chopblocked him and tossed him outside. A brawl outside the ring resulted in Cena receiving a double-team vertical suplex on the bottom of the entrance ramp. The BDC members worked over Cena to great effect. A reversed Irish whip on IRS and a spin-out powerbomb enabled Cena to crawl to his corner to make the hot tag to Sting, who also came in and cleaned house. After Sting put IRS in the Scorpion Death Lock, DiBiase broke it up with a clothesline to the back of the head. A four-man brawl ensued. DiBiase got Sting in the Million Dollar Dream, but he backed into the turnbuckles to break it up. IRS hit Sting with a dropkick. He went for the Write-Off, but Sting ducked and IRS hit DiBiase instead. Cena with the Attitude Adjustment to DiBiase. Sting hit the Scorpion Death Lock and pinned IRS for the win.
