The show opened with the Bullet Club – AJ Styles, Prince Finn Balor, Bad Luck Fale, Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows – coming to the ring. Styles said that after the numbers game defeated him for the RAW World Champion at Clash of Champions, he would need to call on some more friends to come have his back. Luckily, they were ready and came to his aid immediately. Now, the Bullet Club is here and Triple H, Bobby Heenan and the rest of the Heenan Family (Adam Cole, Baron Corbin, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler) are going to have to suffer the consequences. Payback will be a bullet to head courtesy of the Bullet Club.
Cesaro defeated Kevin Owens by pinfall at 14:31 after he executed the Neutralizer on him. Owens had Cesaro set up for the Stunner, but Cesaro pushed him away towards the ropes where Sheamus caught him with a stiff right hand and then gave him ten beats of the Bodhran while Cesaro distracted the referee. When Sheamus was done with him, Cesaro was quick to execute his finisher.
Renee Young spoke to Pete Dunne and PAC in a backstage interview where they both blamed each other for their dismal results in a match against the Street Profits last week. It let to pushing and shoving, and punches getting thrown. Backstage personnel had to flood the area and separate to the two bearish Brits.
Nyla Rose defeated Sarah Logan by pinfall at 5:57 after executing a diving knee drop to Logan as she was drapped over the top rope, followed by a sit-out powerbomb. The Native Beast continued her assault on Logan until Ruby Riot hit the ring and gave Rose a Riot Kick.
Keith Lee defeated Stevie Ray by pinfall at 8:13. Lee escaped the set up to the Slapjack to give him a discus punch and a dropkick, which he followed with a Spirit Bomb to get the 3-count. Now, Lee will take on Booker T next week, and if he wins that match, he and a partner of his choosing will compete for the RAW Tag Team Championships.
The Heenan Family – WWE RAW World Champion Triple H, Adam Cole, Baron Corbin, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler – with Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, took over the ring to respond to refute the earlier statements made by the Bullet Club. Heenan said that his assembled team did not fear the Bullet Club. Triple H is the undisputed RAW World Champion and AJ Styles is not, proof that he made the right decision by selecting him as the first member of the Heenan Family. The Bullet Club came out onto the stage, where Styles noted that Adam Cole was the poor consolation prize after Heenan’s real second choice (the Phenomenal One, himself) turned him down. Cole got angry and trash talked Styles, who shot him down by reminding him that he beat Cole last week. More back and forth ended with the Good Brothers challenging FTR to a match right here, right now. FTR accepted.
The Good Brothers defeated FTR by disqualification in 11:18. After Doc Gallows knocked Dax Harwood off the ring apron with a big boot, he and Karl Anderson executed the Magic Killer on Cash Wheeler. Anderson made the pin, but it was broken up by Baron Corbin swinging a steel chair at his back, resulting in the DQ decision. Bad Luck Fale entered the ring and brawled with Corbin after he also nailed Gallows with a chair shot to the face. Finn Balor, AJ Styles, Adam Cole, and Triple H returned to the ring to brawl as well. It took every referee and member of the Target Center’s security detail to flood the ringside area to put an end to the fight.
A pre-recorded video message from Asuka shows a montage of highlights from her defending the Mash-Up Wrestling Women’s Championship in other territories. Then, Asuka speaks briefly to the camera. She says that Rhea Ripley may think she is ready for Asuka, but she is not. Nobody is ready for Asuka. At Survivor Series in Boston, Massachusetts, Ripley will find that out the hard way!
Eddie Guerrero successfully defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship versus Johnny Gargano, winning the match via pinfall at 24:18. This was a work rate gem, starting out slow and technical, and picking up the pace during the middle portions of the match. There were several near falls late in the match as well as submission attempts with the Lasso From El Paso by Guerrero and the Garga-No-Escape by Gargano. In the end, Gargano blocked a frog splash attempt with his knees and attempted to apply the Garga-No-Escape again, but Guerrero bit his hand before he could lock it in. When they got to their feet, Guerrero blocked a superkick attempt and countered with a spinning heel kick. After that, he executed a snap brainbuster and went to the top rope for another attempt at the frog splash, connecting this one, and pinning Gargano for the win. Following his win, Guerrero took the mic and said that he hoped WALTER was watching because what he saw was what a true Comandante of the ring can do, homes. Anyone who thinks they can do better is just fooling themselves. WALTER is no match for Guerrero’s Latino Heat and if he wants to find out first hand, he ain’t afraid to show him. Viva la raza!
