CCW Superstar Saturday Episode 37
Taped at the Andy Kaufman Studios in Dothan, Alabama
Commentators: Bob Caudle and Dutch Mantel
Ring Announcer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Aubrey Edwards and Joey Marella
The Immortal Hulk Hogan defeats Stan “The Man” Stasiak to advance in the MUW Men’s Title Shot tournament by pinfall at 7:32 via big boot and leg drop. Stasiak was a substitution for Dory Funk Jr., who was not cleared to wrestle with a broken hand.
Col. DeBeers is on Honky’s Chateau with the Honky Tonk Man. He says the Junkyard Dog’s name and then spits. He has no respect for him, but as a black man, JYD better have respect for him as a white man. He demands respect and will get it from him at Halloween Hoedown.

Taya Valkyrie defeats “The Beautiful Nightmare” Katarina Winter by pinfall at 3:48 via Road to Valhalla.
Eddie Kingston is at the commentary position with Bob Caudle. He’s got no problem with a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal match at Halloween Hoedown. Eddie Kingston has fought and beaten the odds his entire life. He’s never known what was coming and it has never stopped him. He’s fought out there on the streets and there were no rules and you never knew if the guy across from you had a broken beer bottle or a loaded .45. Bring your wheel to Halloween Hoedown and he’ll bring the pain.

Terry Funk defeats “Superstar” Billy Graham to advance in the MUW Men’s Title Shot tournament by count out at 9:14. Funk pulls the ropes down on a blind charge by Graham, who falls to the floor. Funk distracts the referee. Eli Drake slips out from under the apron and DDTs Graham on the floor. He then runs off.
Honky Tonk Man is in the back with Taya Valkyrie for Honky’s Chateau. She feels like the forgotten woman in CCW even though there’s nobody that can beat her. She’s got zero competition and wants some right now. Off to the side, there is a cloud of smoke. A woman declaring herself to be the CCW Phantomness emerges wearing all black with a black cloak and mask. She points at Taya and says she will face her at Halloween Hoedown. She then goes back into the smoke and disappears.

The York Foundation (Martin Jannetty and Nicholas Nemeth) with Kamille York defeat the Holly Cousins (Bob and Crash) by pinfall at 10:30 via Rocker Dropper of Jannetty on Crash.
After the match, Nemeth gets a microphone and challenges Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith to a tag team title match at Halloween Hoedown. They never got a rematch from where they lost the titles. He knows Ivory said nobody will be handed anything in CCW. Well, they’re not asking for anything they don’t deserve. But, Nemeth will put something on the line if the champs are willing to do the same. Losers don’t get a title shot for a year. That’s doesn’t faze them, because they won’t lose.

“Le Champion” Chris Jericho with “Mega Man” Tom Magee defeats Chris Candido with Sunny to advance in the MUW Men’s Title Shot tournament by submission via Walls of Jericho at 10:50. Magee doesn’t fall for Sunny luring him to the back this time and he’s able to stave off interference attempts from the Varsity Blondes and Sean Casey.
“Sensational” Sherri Martel is in the back with Eli Drake on Honky’s Chateau with the Honky Tonk Man. Drake interfered in the match earlier, because if Graham continued on in the title shot tournament then he wouldn’t be available to defend the TV Title at Halloween Hoedown. Sherri said if Graham wants to put Eli Drake in his rearview mirror, then give them what they want at Halloween Hoedown with a TV Title shot. Graham will see Drake in his rearview after that for sure, but it will be with Drake holding the Television Title belt. And that, is just a fact of life.

Junkyard Dog defeats the Stainless Steel Russian (“Iron” Mike Sharpe in a mask) at 5:38 by pinfall via Big Thump. DeBeers tries to attack him after, but JYD catches him coming and chases him off to the back.
We cut suddenly to the back with a cameraman chasing after Magee. We come upon Chris Jericho laid out on the floor. Magee bends over him and is then smacked with a chair by Chris Candido. He’s got the rest of his stable with him. Sunny said it’s not over between all of them. Jericho might have won a battle today, but her Blond Bombers will win the war.
