PRE-SHOW BONUS MATCH: “STONE COLD” STEVE AUSTIN vs. IRWIN R. SCHYSTER : An attempt by “Glorious” Bobby Roode and “Cowboy” James Storm to help IRS steal the win as nearly successful. The Dudley Boyz showed up and brawled with Roode and Storm. Meanwhile, IRS whipped Austin into the ropes and went for the Write-Off but Austin countered with a Lou Thesz Press. Not long after, he kicked IRS in the mid-section and gave him the Stone Cold Stunner. 1…2…3! (6:39) --

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: RICKY STEAMBOAT vs. EDDIE GUERRERO {c} : Ricky Steamboat executed a sit-out piledriver, then pinned Guerrero with a lateral press. Guerrero kicked out at two. Steamboat climbed the turnbuckle and waited for Guerrero to get up. When he did, he saw Steamboat on the top rope and pulled the referee in front of him to use as a shield. Steamboat hopped down as Guerrero released the referee. Steamboat ran at him and received a leg lariat. Back to their feet, Guerrero executed the snap brainbuster and made the pin. Steamboat kicked out at two. Guerrero climbed the turnbuckle and went for the frog splash but landed on Steamboat’s knees. Steamboat went to the top rope again and this time attempted the diving crossbody, but Guerrero countered by dropkicking Steamboat out of the air. After hooking Steamboat into a Gory Special, Guerrero gave him a Gory Bomb, then went to the top rope and executed the frog splash. He pinned Steamboat for the 1…2…3! (15:33) --

WWE RAW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: BIANCA BELAIR vs. BAYLEY : Bayley gave Belair a belly-to-back suplex and climbed the turnbuckle. Belair got up and tripped her up. She climbed the turnbuckle and tried to set up for a superplex, but Bayley fought her way free and slipped down from the turnbuckles, giving Belair a powerbomb. She made a jackknife pin for 1…2… the referee saw her feet on the ropes and stopped the count. Bayley lost her cool with the referee, giving Belair an opening. She picked up Bayley into a military press and dropped her, then gave her a standing moonsault. Belair got a 2-count. She sent Bayley into the corner and went for a handspring back elbow, but Bayley got out of the way. After Belair hit the turnbuckle, Bayley gave her a Bayley-to-Belly suplex and pinned her. 1…2… kick out! Bayley lost her cool with the referee again. Belair took her don’t with a surprise roll-up but Bayley kicked out. Bayley tried for a clothesline, but Belair ducked it, hit the ropes and nailed Bayley with a spear! Belair picked up Bayley and gave her the Kiss of Death! 1…2…3! Bianca Belair became the first WWE RAW Women’s Champion! (12:42) --

WWE SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS MATCH: THE HART FOUNDATION vs. THE MIZ & JOHN MORRISON : Hart tried to give Morrison and Irish whip, but he reversed it and executed a standing C4 on Hart upon his return. Morrison covered him, but Neidhart came in and broke up the pin. The Miz complained and when the referee turned his back to get Neidhart to leave, it took considerable effort because The Miz came into the ring and double-teamed Hart with Morrison, putting the double-team stomps in on him, executing a double gutbuster, and then a catapult by The Miz into a forearm smash by Morrison, dropping Hart across his knees, and finishing with a slingshot elbow drop on Hart. Morrison went for another cover, but Hart kicked out at the last moment. Morrison tagged in The Miz, who tried to give Hart a Skull Crushing Finale, but he wiggled free and gave The Miz an inverted atomic drop followed by a side Russian legsweep. Hart crawled to his corner. The Miz tried to stop him, but Hart kicked him away with both feet and made the hot tag. Neidhart came in and executed clotheslines, a back body drop, a spinebuster and a running powerslam. He covered The Miz, and Morrison broke it up. Hart came in to brawl with Morrison, taking him out of the ring and then hitting him with a topé suicida. Neidhart picked up The Miz and sent him into the corner. He charged in and got a boot to the face. The Miz went for a clothesline, but Neidhart ducked and got him with a discus clothesline and then a standing senton bomb. He tagged in Hart and together they executed the Hart Attack. Hart made the cover. 1…2…3! (9:13) --

WINNER GETS A SHOT AT THE MUW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AT SURVIVOR SERIES: RANDY ORTON vs. ROMAN REIGNS w/ PAUL HEYMAN : While brawling outside the ring, Orton received a few uppercuts and then was whipped into the barricade. Reigns charged at him to give him a spear, but Orton got out of the way at the last moment. Reigns slammed hard into the barricade. Orton returned to the ring, clutching his taped ribs. Reigns, with Heyman’s persistent encouragement, made it back to the ring apron by the count of nine. As he was entering the ring, Orton pulled him up with a side headlock and executed the rope-hung DDT. He made the cover but Reigns kicked out at two. Orton backed into the corner and psyched himself up for the RKO. As soon as Reigns got to his feet, Orton came at him but Reigns gave him a Superman punch. Reigns pinned him for a 2-count. Reigns went to the opposite corner and let out a war cry. When Reigns got up, he went for the spear, but Orton countered with a snap powerslam. He hooked a leg. 1…2… kick out! Orton picked up Reigns and backed him into the corner with some European uppercuts. He went for a cross-corner whip, but Reigns reversed it and charged in for a hard clothesline, which he followed up with shoulderblocks to the abdomen. Reigns picked up Orton and tried to give him a running crucifix bomb, but Orton broke free. He went for the RKO but Reigns pushed him into the ropes and hit him with a spear. He made the pin. 1…2…3! WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: REY MISTERIO JR. vs. WALTER {c} : WALTER went for a folding powerbomb, but Misterio managed to counter it into a hurricane that sent WALTER through the ropes. Misterio took him off his feet with a topé con hilo. When WALTER got up and climbed back into the ring, Misterio executed a springboard tornado DDT and pinned him for a 2-count. Misterio waited for WALTER to get up and dropkicked him in the back, sending him into the ropes. He went for the 6-1-9, but WALTER captured his legs and pulled him through the ropes, then planting him down to the mat with a modified high-angle spinebuster slam. WALTER threw Misterio around the ring with a few German suplexes, then gave him a folding powerbomb. Not content to end it there, he went to the top rope and executed a splash on him for the win. WWE RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS MATCH: HARLEM HEAT {c} vs. THE BAR : Cesaro took Booker T down with a diving European uppercut and covered him for a 2-count. He tagged out to Sheamus who came in and lined him up for a Brogue Kick. He went for it, but Booker countered with a jumping spin kick. He followed it with an axe kick and did the spin-a-roonie. Booker tagged in Stevie Ray and he immediately tagged Booker, who climbed the turnbuckle as Stevie Ray put Sheamus onto his shoulders. Cesaro came in and gave Stevie Ray a chopblock to save Sheamus, so Booker executed a missile dropkick on him. Sheamus went for a clothesline, but Booker ducked it and then gave him a Bookend. Harlem Heat executed the Towering Inferno on Sheamus. Booker pinned him and Stevie Ray blocked Cesaro from getting to him. 1…2…3!

WWE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: AJ STYLES vs. TRIPLE H : Triple H set up Styles for the Pedigree. Styles freed his arms, swept Triple H’s legs and gave him a double-foot stomp to the chest. He sat down on him with a rana pin but Triple H kicked out at two. Styles rolled out to the ring apron. He went for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Triple H countered with a jumping knee lift that put Styles flat out on his back. He made the cover. Styles kicked out at two. Triple H put him in a rear chinlock. Styles eventually fought his way out of it and ran to the ropes. Triple H went for a back body drop, but Styles landed on his feet. Triple H turned around and Styles gave him a superkick to drop him to his knees, then hit him with a basement clothesline.
Styles went out to the ring apron and went for a springboard 450-degree splash. Triple got his knees up and then went for a pin. Styles kicked out and Triple H immediately put him in a figure-four leglock. Styles got within inches of the ropes when Triple H broke it, dragged him back to the center of the ring and re-applied the hold. After some time, Styles was able to turn it over. Triple H tried to reach for the ropes, but he was too far. He was on the verge of tapping, but then dug down deep to turn it over again. After nearly fifteen more seconds in the hold, Styles got to the ropes to force a break.
Styles and Triple H exchanged punches. Styles hit Triple H with his Phenomenal Blitz, but Triple H ducked the spinning back fist, then gave Styles an inverted atomic drop and neckbreaker. He followed it up with a jumping knee drop and pinned him with a lateral press. Styles kicked out at two. Triple H whipped Styles into the ropes and gave him an AA spinebuster. He made the cover. 1…2… kick out! Triple H whipped Styles into the corner and followed in with a running clothesline. He lifted Styles onto the top turnbuckle, climbed up and punched him several times. It looked like he was setting up for a superplex, but Styles fought back and knocked to the mat. Styles then gave him a diving crossbody into a lateral press for 1…2.. kick out! Back to their feet, Styles stunned Triple H with a superkick before giving him the ushigoroshi. He pinned him again. 1…2… kick out! Styles put him in the Calf Crusher. Triple H looked like he was in severe pain, but he used his power to crawl to the ropes and force a break.
It was at this time that Bobby “The Brain” Heenan began to complain about Styles holding onto the move for too long after Triple H got to the ropes. Meanwhile, Styles and Triple H were engaged in a fist fight, ending with Styles getting turned around, but then dropping Triple H with a Pele kick. Styles went out to the ring apron and waited for Triple H to get up. He gave him a Phenomenal Forearm. He pinned him. 1…2… kick out! Heenan complained that Styles struck him with a closed fist. The referee wasn’t hearing him out, so he climbed onto the ring apron and got his attention, conveniently at the same time Styles gave Triple H the Styles Clash!
With the referee’s back turned, the pin went uncounted as FTR ran out to attack Styles. Moments later, Styles’ insurance policy arrived – the Good Brothers! Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows brawled with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler in the ring. The referee turned around to find them all in the ring. He ordered them out, and got swept out of the ring with the tag team wrestlers as they hit the floor. The referee commanded them to leave ringside. Meanwhile, Baron Corbin showed up to help FTR. Back inside the ring, Adam Cole appeared. He delivered a pair of superkicks to Styles and lowered the Boom! FTR gave Anderson the Shatter Machine and Corbin executed the End of Days on Gallows out on the floor! Heenan shouted at the referee to get back into the ring. The timing worked out just right for him to witness Triple H execute the Pedigree on Styles. 1…2…3! The winner and first WWE World Champion is Triple H. He celebrated in the ring with Heenan, Cole, Corbin and FTR. It appeared as though the Heenan Family was now at full strength! (22:05) --

ROWDY RODDY PIPER vs. THE FIEND : Piper climbed the turnbuckle and punched The Fiend ten times. He went for a cross-corner whip, but The Fiend reversed it and charged in. Piper moved and The Fiend hit the turnbuckle. Piper took him out of the corner with a running bulldog and pinned him for a 2-count. Piper applied a sleeperhold. The Fiend came back to life at two, broke the hold, sent Piper into the ropes and nailed him with a flying cross chop. He built off that move with uppercut throat thrusts, clotheslines and a uri-nage slam. The Fiend set up for Sister Abigail but Piper got out of the hold and pulled The Fiend down into a small package. 1…2… kick out! The Fiend blocked a haymaker attempt and applied the Mandible Claw, incapacitating Piper for the win. When the match was over, laughter filled the arena and the lights went out. When they came back on, both The Friend and Piper were gone. (7:22) --

WWE SMACKDOWN WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: RHEA RIPLEY {c} vs. BECKY LYNCH : Lynch applied the Dis-Arm-Her, but Ripley was too close to the ropes and was able to force a rope break. A few moments later, Ripley dropped Lynch to the mat with a big boot and put her in the Prism Trap. Lynch was too close to the ropes and broke it. Lynch went for a Manhandle Slam, but Ripley countered with a rolling DDT. After a discus lariat, she tried to give Lynch the Rip Tide, but she escaped and took Ripley down with a leg lariat. Lynch picked up Ripley and executed the Manhandle Slam! However, before she could make the cover, Bayley entered the ring and nailed her in the back of the head with her Money in the Bank briefcase! Bayley took Lynch out of the ring and threw her into the steps and the barricade before giving her an arm-trap headlock driver on the floor. (14:45) --

WWE SMACKDOWN WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: RHEA RIPLEY {c} vs. BAYLEY : Bayley gave the MITB briefcase to the referee and ordered a new match take place. She was cashing in. She locked up with Ripley, who took her down with a hip toss. Bayley crawled to the corner to get up. Ripley charged in and Bayley got out of the way. Ripley’s shoulder hit the turnbuckle post. Bayley pulled her out of the corner and executed a Bayley-to-Belly. Instead of going for the pin, she picked up Ripley and gave her an arm-trap headlock driver for extra measure. She made the cover. 1…2…3! Bayley became the new WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion! (0:29) --

WWE UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: STING {c} vs. “THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN” TED DIBIASE : DiBiase came to the ring with the entire BDC. The referee would only allow him to have one man at ringside. After failing to convince the referee to change his money with words and money, JBL stayed at ringside. Five minutes into the contest, DiBiase raked Sting’s eyes and threw him out of the ring. He created a distraction that allowed JBL to level Sting with a Clothesline From Wall Street. The interference could have cost Sting the title, but the referee turned in time to see JBL throwing Sting into the ring. A prolonged argument ensued, ending with JBL getting tossed from ringside. JBL threw a fit and refused to leave, bringing John Cena out to chase JBL from ringside.
With the focus back on the two superstars in the ring, it was a fair fight that Sting controlled until DiBiase moved out of the way of a Stinger Splash and put Sting in a figure four leg lock around the turnbuckle post. DiBiase went to work on Sting’s legs and put him in a figure four leglock. Sting eventually turned it around and DiBiase had to scramble like mad to get to the ropes to break it. Sting mounted a comeback, making DiBiase flee from the ring to try to break his momentum. Sting chased after him and DiBiase sent Sting’s head into the turnbuckle post and then gave him a vertical suplex on the floor. When the ref checked on Sting, DiBiase went around the corner and looked under the ring for something. He opened a toolbox, pulled something out appeared to slipped it into his trunks.
DiBiase worked over Sting some more. He executed a piledriver and pinned him for a 2-count. He waited for Sting to get up and tried to apply the Million Dollar Dream but Sting backed him into the turnbuckles to get free. Unfortunately, the referee was squashed in the corner. Sting sent DiBiase into the opposite corner and got him with a Stinger Splash. DiBiase fell to the mat. Sting pinned him, but the referee wasn’t in position. Sting went to check on the ref. Meanwhile, DiBiase slowly got up, reached into his tights and pulled out his loaded black glove. When the referee started coming around, Sting turned around just in time to get a knock out punch from the glove-adorned fist. DiBiase made the pin. The ref got in position. 1…2… kick out!
DiBiase was apoplectic. He grabbed the referee by the collar and yellow at him. DiBiase went to put Sting in the Million Dollar Dream, but Sting broke free and gave him a neckbreaker before he could get it locked in. Sting scooped up DiBiase and gave him a bodyslam, then went to the turnbuckle and executed a diving clothesline. Sting put DiBiase in the Scorpion Death Lock and DiBiase tapped out about 10 seconds later. (17:13) --
