CCW Superstar Saturday Episode 36
Taped at the Andy Kaufman Studios in Dothan, Alabama
Commentators: Bob Caudle and Dutch Mantel
Ring Announcer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Aubrey Edwards and Joey Marella
Footage is shown of the close of Hollywood Homecoming with Hulk Hogan coming to his senses and then helping Mr. T and Sylvester Stallone to beat up Andy Kaufman.
We go live to the studio with Kaufman wearing a neck brace. He’s barred Mr. T and Stallone from ever appearing at a CCW event again. As for Hulk Hogan, he’s not going to suspend him. He’s putting money in Kaufman’s pocket, which he’s sure pains him, but Hogan will get his punishment in the ring soon enough.
Hogan then comes out and drives Kaufman off. He reiterates how he’s back for real and thanks for all the Hulkamaniacs sticking by his side through the bad times, brother. And, Andy Kaufman, that dude will get more than a sore neck if he tries to involve himself in the Hulkster’s business again. There’s only one thing Kaufman can do for him and all the Hulkamaniacs, brother, and that’s bring Samoa Joe back to CCW so Hogan can reclaim the MUW Men’s Title.
Junkyard Dog defeats Snake Brown from Out of Town at 5:13 by pinfall via Big Thump. While celebrating the win, Col. DeBeers runs out and clobbers JYD from behind with a flagpole. The Patriot makes the save. The commentators mention The Patriot beating DeBeers in a flag match at Hollywood Homecoming with JYD saving him from a DeBeers beat down post match.

Power Station (Will Hobbs and Odyssey Jones) with the Dr. of Style, Slick defeat the Fantastics (Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers) at 7:02 via pinfall of Jones on Rogers following the Power Outage (Hobbs spinebuster followed by Jones splash). After the match, Slick brags about how Power Station drove the New Day out of CCW. It’s just a matter of time before they doe the same to the CCW Tag Team Champions of Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith.
“National Treasure” Nicholas Aldis with Kamille York is on Honky’s Chateau with the Honky Tonk Man. He takes exception to Hogan coming out of nowhere and demanding an MUW Men’s Title shot after doing nearly nothing since he’s been in CCW. Meanwhile, Aldis has been the CCW Champion and has been working hard day in and day out to elevate this company and the Mash Up Wrestling Universe overall. If all it takes to get a title shot is to say hey, give me one. The Aldis is saying hey, give me one.

Slick in the back meets up with Tony Atlas. He’s got his tag team poised to take the titles. He needs a singles wrestler he can take to the promised land and Slick thinks Atlas can be it. Atlas said he doesn’t want anything to do with Slick and he’d never turn his back on his tag team partner, Rocky Johnson. Don’t lay that jive on Slick. Atlas could be somebody under his managerial guidance or just a chump slumming with Johnson.
Terry Funk defeats Bob Holly at 10:46 by pinfall via piledriver. It’s mentioned on commentary that Dory Funk suffered a broken hand at Hollywood Homecoming and will be out at least two months.

Executive Vice President Col. Robert Fuller is out and announces that Ivory has been named the new Associate Vice President of Talent Relations. She will also be an alternative commentator when required. On Wednesday Warfare she’ll have several announcements for Halloween Hoedown, including Hulk Hogan and Nicholas Aldis both wanting a shot at the MUW Men’s Title.
The York Foundation (Martin Jannetty and Nicholas Nemeth) with Kamille York defeat the Soul Patrol (Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas) at 11:32 by Jannetty pinning Atlas via a Zig Zag from Nemeth setting up a frog splash by Marty. Johnson was distracted by going after Kamille on the outside after she jumped to the apron. Atlas seems really miffed after.

“Sensational” Sherri Martel is out with new CCW Women’s Champion Tessa Blanchard. She’s the first wrestler in CCW to be a multiple time champion. Sherri isn’t surprised and she’s not surprised Lita is injured again, this time with a concussion from Hollywood Homecoming. Bob Caudle mentions how Sherri caused Lita to fall to the floor from the top rope during the triple threat match. Sherri tells him to shut up. Also, Blanchard isn’t going to rest on her laurels like Lita. She’s defending the belt right now.
Tessa Blanchard retains the CCW Women’s Title over Layla El by pinfall via Buzzsaw at 8:23. Blanchard gets a pair of pliers from Sherri and looks like she’s going to rip out Layla’s teeth, but Britt Baker runs out and makes the save. The commentators say Tessa was definitely sending a message to Baker with the pliers’ stunt.

Big E Langston crushes “Maniac” Mike Davis at 1:23 by pinfall via Big Ending.
Langston gets a microphone and says Eddie Kingston purposely drew him out of the ring for the double count out at Hollywood Homecoming, because he knows he couldn’t have beat Big E in the ring under any circumstances. Kingston appears on the entrance stage and tells Langston that he welcomes a rematch anywhere, anytime under any stipulation. Big E says Halloween night at Halloween Hoedown. The stipulation? That deal will be sealed later. Kingston accepts.
