FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH: KEVIN OWENS vs. BRIAN CAGE : Cage had Owens set up for a piledriver on the bottom portion of the ring steps, but Owens fought back and countered with a back body drop. He gave Cage a splash and pinned him for a 2-count. Owens picked up Cage and whipped him into the barricade then gave him a running cannonball. He pinned him again, and again he got a 2-count. Owens ripped up a section of the floor mats around ringside and set up to powerbomb Cage, but he countered with a hurricanrana. After a superkick to stun Owens, Cage gave him a suplex onto the exposed floor and covered him. He got a 2-count. Cage grabbed a section of the ring steps and threw it at Owens, knocking him into and over the barricade.
Cage and Owens brawled in the crowd. Cage executed a gutwrench powerbomb into some chairs and pinned Owens but he kicked out at two. Owens gave Cage a pop-up powerbomb onto a portion of the hockey boards near the team benches and pinned Cage. He barely kicked out. Owens maintained control as they brawled up some stairs and into the concessions area. Giant sodas were thrown at each other, and Owens was hip tossed into a popcorn machine. Out at the merch tables, Cage hit Owens with a superkick and tried for a moonsault off the merch table, but Owens put his knees up. Then, he gave Cage a pop-up powerbomb through a table stacked high with Sting t-shirts. Cage still managed to kick out at the count of two, so Owens hit him over the head with a few replica title belts and gave another pop-up powerbomb, this time through a table stacked with “Stone Cold,” “Macho Man,” and “Fight Owens Fight” merch. He pinned him again, and this time, he got the 3-count. (15:30) --

“MACHO MAN” RANDY SAVAGE w/ MISS ELIZABETH vs. “THE BEST MAN” MIRO w/ JIM CORNETTE : Savage saw Miro charging at him and ducked his head, lifting him over the top rope with a back drop. He dropkicked Miro off the apron and climbed the top turnbuckle. Savage hit Miro with a diving double axehandle smash from the turnbuckle to the floor. He picked up Miro and gave him a series of alternating jabs to the chest and head. He went for an Irish whip, but Miro reversed it. Savage hit the barricade and then Miro ran at him and executed a low crossbody while he was pinned up against the barricade. Miro picked up Savage and rammed his face into the turnbuckle post and then gave him a vertical suplex before returning him to the ring. Miro gave him a running senton and covered him for a 2-count.
Miro gave Savage some space to let him up and then went for a Miro Kick. Savage did a matrix evasion to duck it. When Miro turned around, Savage gave him some elbow smashes to the forehead and then a hairpull hangman. Savage climbed the top turnbuckle and executed a diving double axehandle. He scooped him up and gave him a bodyslam and then climbed the turnbuckle. Miro got to his feet so Savage gave him a diving crossbody into a lateral press to get a 2-count. Savage executed an atomic drop and a spinning back elbow and then set up Miro for a piledriver, but he saw Cornette ranting and raving on the ring apron. Savage left Miro to got deal with Cornette. He had Cornette by the neck tie and threatened to slug him off the apron when Miro came running over with a Miro Kick. Savage moved and Miro’s foot connected with Cornette. Savage got Miro with a running high knee to the back of Miro, followed by a clothesline and then a piledriver. He went up to the top turnbuckle and executed the diving elbow drop! 1…2…3!
Savage celebrated the win with Miss Elizabeth. After they left the ring, Cornette entered the ring and got into a heated argument with Miro about the embarrassing loss. Miro looked to be losing his cool but he turned away. Cornette told him not to turn his back on him and hit him with the tennis racket. That was a big mistake. Miro turned around with fire in his eyes. Cornette cowered and begged forgiveness. Miro knocked him out with a Miro Kick and said it was “Game Over!” He applied his finisher to Cornette much to the approval of everyone in the nation’s capital. (10:17) --

EXTREME RULES MATCH: BECKY LYNCH vs. BAYLEY : Bayley whipped Becky Lynch into the barricade. She charged at her and Lynch got a boot up in her face, then she grabbed Bayley and gave her a Bexploder suplex into the barricade. Lynch dug into the ring apron and pulled out some kendo sticks. She teed off on Bayley’s back before wrapping a kendo stick under her jaw and giving her a kendo stick assisted side Russian leg sweep into the side of steps. Bayley appeared to be knocked out. Lynch struggled to lift her up, so she gave up and brough a table out from under the ring, and leaned it up against the turnbuckles. She went back out to get Bayley but got sprayed in the face with the fire retardant from an extinguisher. Bayley picked up Lynch and gave her a belly-to-back suplex onto the commentary table. She pulled Lynch down and rolled her into the ring.
Bayley grabbed a steel chair and climbed the turnbuckles with it. She went for a diving elbow drop with chair, but Lynch put up a foot, causing Bayley’s attempt to backfire. Lynch picked her up and put her in the pumphandle position. She tried to lift Bayley, but she countered the Manhandle Slam attempt with a deep arm drag. Bayley picked up the chair and threw it at Lynch, who caught it, and drove the chair into her face with a running dropkick. Bayley pinned her to get a 2-count. Bayley picked up Lynch and gave her a Bayley-to-belly suplex onto the chair. She pinned her, and Lynch managed to shoulder out. Bayley spied her Money in the Bank briefcase and brought it into the ring. She tried to hit Lynch in the head with it, but she did a matric evasion and a spinning back kick. Bayley dropped the briefcase and Lynch gave her a DDT onto it. She covered. 1…2… foot on the ropes!
Lynch climbed the turnbuckle and went for a diving leg drop, but Bayley rolled out of the way. When they got up, they traded punches. Lynch kicked Bayley in the abdomen and tried to put her in a pumphandle position, but Bayley slipped free and kicked Lynch in the crotch. Then, she gave Lynch an exploder suplex through the upright table! She pulled Lynch out of the wreckage and pinned her. 1…2… kick out! Bayley picked up Lynch and put her on the top turnbuckle. She climbed up and stood on the top rope, ready to go for a frankensteiner, but Lynch slipped down and tripped her. Then, she took Bayley off the top rope with a super belly-to-back suplex. Bayley landed away from Lynch, and instead of crawling over to make the pin, Lynch grabbed the steel chair and opened it up, placing it in the middle of the ring. Bayley came at Lynch, but she gave her a leg lariat. Lynch picked up Bayley and gave her a Manhandle Slam into the seat of the chair and then her in the Dis-arm-her, forcing her to tap out. TEXAS BULLROPE MATCH: “STONE COLD” STEVE AUSTIN vs. JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD : JBL countered an Irish whip and took Austin down with a big boot. He went to the corner and took apart a turnbuckle pad, throwing it away after slapping it with his hand. He slapped two turnbuckles before Austin pulled on the bullrope. JBL came back at him with a clothesline attempt. Austin ducked, kicked him and went for a stunner but JBL shoved him into the ropes and then clocked him over the head with a cowbell at the middle of the bullrope. JBL wrapped the bullrope around Austin’s neck to choke him out and then started hitting turnbuckles again. After three, Austin pulled back on the rope and whipped JBL across the back with it. He tied up JBL and gave him a side belly-to-back suplex. He forced the bullrope in between JBL’s teeth and dropped his knee at the side of his head several times. Austin slapped the turnbuckles until JBL tugged on the bullrope. Austin charged at him, JBL ducked and then clotheslined Austin with the bullrope. He picked up Austin and gave him a JBL Bomb! He thought he had the match in hand, but Austin pulled on the rope just when the last turnbuckle was out of reach. JBL couldn’t get to it and decided to go for a Clothesline from Wall Street. Austin ducked it, then shoved JBL into the exposed turnbuckle, kicked him and gave him a Stone Cold Stunner!
Austin started to slap the turnbuckles. Ted DiBiase, Bobby Roode and James Storm rushed out. DiBiase distracted the referee while Roode and Storm interfered. Austin swatted Storm off the ring apron. Roode came in and Austin gave him a kick and a Stone Cold Stunner. He hit the last turnbuckle, but the referee didn’t see it. Austin ran at DiBiase and hit him with the cowbell. He tried to pull the Million Dollar Man into the ring but then got a low blow from JBL. The Billion Dollar Corporation ganged up on Austin and the referee was powerless to do anything about it, so John Cena came out and so did the Dudley Boyz. Bubba Ray and D-Von got into a battle with Roode and Storm around ringside. Cena fought with DiBiase and JBL. Cena got DiBiase onto his shoulders, but a big boot from JBL saved the Million Dollar Man. Austin hit JBL with a cowbell and gave him another Stone Cold Stunner. DiBiase briefly put him in the Million Dollar Dream but then he was chased away from the ring by Cena. Meanwhile, Bubba Ray and D-Von put each of Roode and Storm through tables. Austin slapped three turnbuckles before a man wearing bifocals, a white dress shirt, black pants, and a red tie and matching suspenders entered the ring and hit Austin from behind with a briefcase. He repeatedly drove Austin’s head into the exposed turnbuckle, whipped him into the ropes and executed a flying clothesline on him. He got down and punched Austin’s forehead several times, opening up a gash above his right eye even more. As he did this, JBL went around the ring and slapped all four turnbuckles to get the win. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS MATCH: HARLEM HEAT {c} vs. FTR : Wheeler and Harwood gave Stevie Ray a double whip to the ropes. Stevie ray came back and dropped both of them with clotheslines. He scooped up Wheeler and gave him a bodyslam and then lifted Harwood up for a flapjack. Stevie Ray dove to the corner and tagged Booker T. He came in and took Wheeler down and out of the ring with a dropkick, then nailed a jumping spinkick on Harwood and did a Spinaroonie. Booker picked up Harwood and gave him the Bookend and pinned him. 1…2… Wheeler made the save. Stevie Ray came in and fought with Wheeler. He went for a running clothesline, but Wheeler dropped his head and sent Stevie Ray over the top rope with a body drop. Meanwhile, Booker T was climbing the ropes. Wheeler ran over and tripped him up, then went out to his corner to wait for a tag. Harwood tagged him and together they went went up top and executed a double superplex on Booker T. Wheeler covered him. 1…2… kick out!
Wheeler chopblocked Booker T and went to work on his right leg. He tagged out to Harwood, who continued to work over the same leg. They made frequent tags, applying various holds, giving him wrapped knee drops, corkscrew dragon whips, shinbreakers, seated sentons and other moves focused on the leg. Harwood also executed a slingshot suplex and pinned him for a 2-count. Wheeler tagged in and gave Booker a pointed elbow drop from the second rope and then applying a figure four leglock. Harwood made a disctraction to allow Wheeler to grip the ropes for added leverage. He was able to repeat this trick when Stevie Ray tried to enter the ring and the ref stopped him. Eventually, he was caught by the referee, who forced him to break the hold or be disqualified. Wheeler tagged in Harwood and they gave Booker a belly-to-back suplex diving leg drop combo. Harwood pinned him and he kicked out. Harwood made a quick tag and Wheeler came back in. They set up for a Mindbreaker spike piledriver, but Booker managed to turn it into a back body drop. He began to crawl to his corner. Wheeler went to stop Booker, who then gave him an enzuigiri kick and crawled over to make the hot tag.
Stevie Ray came in and caught Wheeler with a high knee strike. He countered a clothesline attempt from Harwood with an arm ringer into a hook kick. He gave Wheeler an inverted atomic drop and a lariat. Harwood came at him, but receives a military press slam. As Wheeler tried to get up, Stevie Ray gave him a bicycle kick. He whipped him into the ropes and gave him the 110th Street Slam. He pinned him. 1…2… Harwood made the save. Booker T came in and it turned into a four man brawl. Booker T tried to get Harwood with a scissors kick but missed and then Harwood sent him shoulder first into the turnbuckle post. Stevie Ray was set up for the Slapjack on Wheeler, but Harwood pulled him off with a jumping neckbreaker. They quickly gave Stevie Ray the Shatter Machine! Wheeler covered. 1…2… Booker T made the save. Harwood attack Booker T and tried to toss him from the ring but Booker turned it around and sent Harwood over the top rope to the floor. Wheeler came at Booker but he caught him with a roundhouse kick and then an axe kick. Booker went back to the ring apron to get the tag from Stevie Ray then he climbed the turnbuckle as Stevie Ray lifted Wheeler onto his shoulders. Booker hit him with the missile dropkick into the electric chair – Heat Seeker! Booker covered. Harwood entered the ring but Stevie Ray gave him a 110th Streeet Slam. 1…2…3! (12:48) --

GLASGOW STREET FIGHT FOR THE WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: ROWDY RODDY PIPER vs. WALTER {c} : WALTER whipped Piper into the corner and charged in at him. Piper got out of the way and WALTER slammed into the turnbuckles. Then, Piper brought him out of the corner with a running bulldog onto a steel chair. He pinned WALTER but only got a 2-count. Piper picked up the chair and gave WALTER a few shots while he was down, then he exited the ring to get a trash can and a baseball bat. He hit WALTER over the head with the trashcan as he started sitting up. Then, he placed the transcan over WALTER’s head and upper body and started whacking it with the bat. Next, while WALTER was still stuck in the trash can, Piper grabbed him by the legs and applied a figure four leglock. It took WALTER a long time to get out from the trashcan and then drag himself near the ropes. Piper pulled him back from the ropes but then WALTER broke the hold by grabbing a steel chair and swinging it at Piper’s knees.
When they got up, WALTER chopped Piper, and Piper threw closed-fist punches at WALTER. The Ring General dropped Piper with a big boot and quickly gave Piper a release powerbomb onto the trashcan. He went for the cover, but Piper kicked out at the count of two. WALTER threw Piper out of the ring, went out and whipped him into the steel ring steps. WALTER pulled a table out from under the ring and slid it into the ring. WALTER went for a running clothesline but Piper countered with a drop toehold, sending WALTER’s face into the top of the steps. Piper removed the top portion of the steps, then grabbed WALTER and set him up for a piledriver onto the steps, but he got back to his feet and gave Piper a back body drop instead. Then, he picked up Piper and threw him into the barricade. WALTER grabbed the top portion of the steps and threw them in Piper’s direction but he crawled out of the way. Piper was digging under the apron for something when WALTER grabbed him by the foot and pulled him out, resulting in him getting sprayed by the flame retardant from a fire extinguisher. Piper choked WALTER with the fire extinguisher hose before lifting him onto the ring apron and rolling him into the ring. Piper climbed in and pinned him, but WALTER kicked out. Piper set up the table in the center of the ring. He grabbed WALTER and set him up for a vertical suplex. WALTER blocked it and countered. He grabbed Piper and gave him a release German suplex then pinned him for a 2-count. WALTER went out and climbed the turnbuckle. Piper got up and tripped him up. He went to the top and then fought on top of the turnbuckle. At one point, it looked like Piper was going for a superplex, but WALTER blocked it. In the end, WALTER won the battle and executed a folding powerbomb off the top rope, through the table in the center of the ring! WALTER covered Piper for the 1…2…3! (16:25) --

STEEL CAGE MATCH FOR THE WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: AJ STYLES vs. EDDIE GUERRERO {c} : Guerrero gave Styles the three amigos, and when he was done, he did a little shimmy before climbing the turnbuckle. He went for the frog splash but Styles put his knees up to block it and quickly transitioned from the block into the calf crusher. Guerrero appeared to be on the verge of tapping out, but he found an untapped reserve of energy that he used to help him crawl to the ropes. Unfortunately, it didn’t force a break and he had to climb all the way to the cage to get the hold released. When Guerrero got up, Styles gave him a rope assisted enzuigiri kick, then tried to bring him back into the ring with a vertical suplex, but Guerrero slid down from behind, rolled him up and grabbed a handful of tights to get a long 2-count. Guerrero dropped Styles and then put him in a Mexican surfboard. Styles would not quit so Guerrero had to drop him.
Guerrero picked up Styles and ran him towards the ropes to throw him into the cage, but Styles reversed it and sent Guerrero into the cage. Styles then gave Guerrero a baseball slide to drive him into the cage again. Styles dragged Guerrero under the ropes and pinned him for a 2-count. Next, he climbed onto the ropes and halfway up the cage. When Guerrero made it to his feet, Styles let go of the cage, performing a moonsault into a reverse DDT. He pinned Guerrero, but the champion got a shoulder up. Styles picked up Guerrero and lifted him upside down. He was making an attempt at the Styles Clash, but Guerrero would not allow his arms to get pinned back by Styles’ legs. Using his core strength, Guerrero lifted up and then flung back down to send Styles through the ropes and into the side of the cage with a hurricanrana.
Guerrero climbed through the ropes and lit into Styles’ chest with some chops before ramming his face into cage several times. Guerrero climbed onto the top rope and lifted Styles up there. He tried to ram Styles’ face into the cage again, but he blocked with some elbows to the face and rammed Guerrero’s face into the cage, then he took a wobbly Latino Heat off the top rope with a springboard hurricanrana! Styles went for the pin and Guerrero kicked out at the last millisecond. Styles went out to the ring apron and tightened his glove. When Guerrero got to his feet, Styles went for a Phenomenal Forearm but Guerrero ducked it and ran to the ropes. He jumped up onto the cage and started climbing. Styles quickly caught up to him and grabbed one of his feet. Guerrero tried to shake him, but he he couldn’t. He tried to kick him with his other foot, but it didn’t free him.
Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, who was a surprise guest on commentary began to insist that someone stop Styles because pulling another man off the side of the catch was an illegal maneuver, which received groans and corrections from the actual members of the commentary team. At that moment, the man in the hooded man jumped the barricade and went for the cage door. Referees tried to stop him but he punched one of them out and threw another one into the barricade. He opened the door, then reached under the ring apron and produced a sledgehammer. He ran at Styles and hit him in the face with the sledgehammer, freeing Guerrero to continue his ascent up the cage. The man in the hood drove the butt end of the sledgehammer down into Styles’ sternum, eliciting applause and adulation from Heenan at commentary. Then, he removed his hood and face covering to revel it was TRIPLE H! He picked up Styles and gave him the Pedigree, then turned him over on his back and signalled at Guerrero that he was all his. Triple H walked out of the cage. Guerrero performed a frog splash off the top of the cage and then pinned Styles. 1…2…3! (23:18) --

WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: RHEA RIPLEY {c} vs. TONI STORM : Storm missed a running clothesline and Ripley gave her a dropkick that sent her back into the turnbuckles. Ripley pulled Storm out of the corner and trying to put her in the Prism Trap, but Storm was too close to the ropes. Ripley went for a running clothesline, but Storm lifted Ripley over the top rope. She landed on the ring apron and lifted Storm over with a vertical suplex attempt, but Storm landed on the ring apron. They traded stiff punches and kicks. Storm went for a superkick, Ripley blocked, then set her up for what appeared to be a powerbomb, but Storm countered with a back body drop. Ripley hit the ring apron and fell to the floor. When Ripley got up, Storm hit with a diving somersault senton off the ring apron. Storm picked up Ripley and rolled her into the ring. She went to the turnbuckle and executed a diving leg drop. She made the cover, but Ripley kicked out. Storm put Ripley in a cross STF to try to force a submission, and while she had the hold synched in tight, Ripley managed to drag herself to the ropes to force a break.
Next, Storm went for an Irish whip, but Ripley reversed it and nailed her with a running big boot. Ripley gave Storm some clotheslines and then a bridging northern lights suplex for a 2-count. Ripley gave Storm a few vicious headbutts and then went for a powerbomb, but Storm punched her in the face and countered with a sit-out facebuster. She went for the cover and got a 2-count. Storm picked up Ripley and set up for Storm Zero, but Ripley countered with a back drop, which Storm turned into a sunset flip for two. Back to their feet, Storm hit a superkick and then executed a bridging German suplex. 1…2… kick out! Storm decided to climb the turnbuckles. Ripley got up and met her on the top rope. After fighting back and forth, Ripley managed to take Storm down to the mat with a superplex. She went for the pin. 1…2… kick out! Ripley picked up Storm and set her up for Riptide. Storm slipped free behind, pushed her to the ropes and took her down with a roll-up. Ripley kicked out at two and got Storm in a seated sleeperhold. Storm was able to flip backwards to pin Ripley’s shoulders down for two. A double headbutt dropped them both. When they got up, they traded punches. Ripley went for an Irish whip. Storm countered and Ripley went into the corner. Storm charged at her and Ripley hit her with a dropkick. They both got back up and Storm charged at her again. Ripley gave Storm an overhead toss that sent her crashing into the turnbuckles. Then she picked up Storm and gave her Riptide. 1…2…3! (16:11) --

EXTREME RULES MATCH FOR THE WWE UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP: STING {c} vs. ROMAN REIGNS w/ Paul Heyman : Sting whipped Reigns into the ropes and went for a dropkick but Reigns clung to the ropes to avoid it. When Sting got up, Reigns ran him over with a clothesline. Heyman slid a chair into the ring for Reigns. He picked it up and teed off on Sting with multiple shots to the back. The threw the chair down and gave Sting a single-arm DDT onto it and covered him. Sting kicked out. Reigns put a chokehold on the Universal Champion. The referee was powerless to stop it and Reigns reminded him of that fact. When Reigns was done, he covered him again. Sting kicked out. Reigns picked up Sting and sent him into the corner. He ran in and got him with a shoulder block to the abdomen. He drove the air of him with a few more and then battered him with several clotheslines in the corner. Reigns whipped Sting to the other corner so hard that Sting hit the mat after slamming into the turnbuckles. Reigns left the ring and brought a table and some kendo sticks into the ring. He set up the table and then went to hit Sting with the kendo stick, but Sting rolled outside, tripped Reigns, dragged him outside and threw him into the steel ring steps.
Sting grabbed Reigns and gave him a vertical suplex on the floor. He got up and gave Reigns some chops, then whipped him into the barricade and got him with a Stinger splash. Sting took a table out from under the ring and slid it into the ring. He went back to get Reigns, but his eyes racked. Reigns grabbed Sting and slammed his head into the turnbuckle post, then he rolled him into the ring. Reigns came in and stepped on the kendo stick Sting grabbed. He stomped on Sting’s hand and picked up the kendo stick and teed off on Sting. Then, Reigns gave him a release German suplex. Sting crawled into the ropes. Reigns left the ring and went for a drive-by, but Sting moved and gave Reigns a baseball slide to knock him off the ring apron. Sting came down on Reigns with a slingshot plancha. Now, he went to town on him with alternating jabs to the chest and head before picking him up with a gorilla press and dropping him across the barricade. Sting pulled Reigns back from the barricade and tossed him into the ring. Sting propped a table up in the corner against a set of turnbuckles. When he turned around, Reigns came at him with a chair. Sting dropkicked the chair into his face and pinned him. He got a 2-count. Sting picked up Reigns and laid him on the table in the center of the ring. Sting went out and climbed the turnbuckle. Reigns got off the table, ran over and tripped up Sting. He climbed up and they fought on the turnbuckles until Reigns took control, got Sting on his shoulders and dove backwards, putting Sting through the table with a Samoan drop!
Reigns was unable to pin him right away, which allowed Sting enough time to kick out of his pinfall attempt. Reigns backed off and set up for a spear. He went for it and Sting moved. Reigns slammed into the turnbuckle post with his shoulder. Sting pulled him out of the corner and gave him a snap DDT and pinned him, but Reigns kicked out. Sting picked up Reigns and went for an Irish whip. Reigns managed to reverse it, sending Sting into the corner. Reigns ran in, but Sting caught him with a boot to the face. Sting gave him a one-handed bulldog onto a steel chair and pinned him. 1…2… kick out! Sting sent Reigns into the corner and got him with a Stinger Splash. He sent him into the opposite corner and went for another one, but Reigns got him with a spear! Reigns made the cover. 1…2… kick out! Reigns and Heyman harassed the referee over what they claimed was a slow count. The referee had none of it. Reigns grabbed a new steel chair and hit Sting with it several times. He picked up Sting and lifted him into a crucifix bomb position. He ran towards the corner where the other table had been set up, but Sting broke free Reigns turned around and kicked him in the abdomen and then gave him a swinging neckbreaker.
They both got up at the same time and traded punches. Reigns started landing a few in a row, backing Sting into the ropes. Reigns went for a Superman punch, but Sting ducked it and dropkicked him into the back. Reigns rebounded off the ropes and Sting took him down with a crucifix pin for a 2-count. They got up and Reigns went for a haymaker. Sting ducked it and executed a Scorpion Death Drop! He covered. 1…2… kick out! Sting couldn’t believe it. He didn’t waste much time through. He grabbed Reigns by the legs and turned him over into a Scorpion Death Lock. Reigns refused to submit and after significant effort, he got to the ropes – only there are no rope breaks, so Reigns crawled out with help from Heyman, who pulled with all his might. Once Reigns was on the floor, Heyman reached into the inside breast pocket of his suit and handed Reigns something. Sting came out to get Reigns and had salt thrown in his eyes. Reigns gave his blinded opponent a Superman punch. Reigns put him in a guillotine choke. He synched it in tight, but with a last-ditch effort, Sting pushed forward and broke it by tackling Reigns into the ring steps.
Both men got up and exchanged a few punches. Reigns buried a knee into Sting’s mid-section and gave him a headbutt. He rolled him into the ring and pulled him over the bottom rope where he was then met with a drive-by. Reigns entered the ring and readied to give Sting a spear. When Sting got to his feet, Reigns went for it. Sting moved out of the way at the last second and Reigns’ missed spear put him through the table and into the turnbuckles! Sting pulled Reigns out of the corner and gave him a Scorpion Death Drop! He made the cover. 1…2…3! Reigns attempted a kick out, but it was a moment too late. Sting was declared the winner.
As Sting was handed his title, Reigns grabbed a chair and hit him in the back with it. Then, he nailed him over the head. Reigns brought Sting out of the ring and climbed onto one commentary table with Sting. Reigns threw Sting through the Spanish announce table with a release crucifix bomb. He remained standing on the English announce table, talking himself up as he looked out to the crowd. Suddenly, out from the timekeeper’s position, someone climbed onto the barricade and jumped in the air to take Reigns down with a cutter, collapsing the table under him in the process. When the man got up, Michael Cole remarked that it was Randy Orton! He gave Reigns an RKO! What was RANDY ORTON doing here?! (28:39) --
