Jim Ross & Les Thatcher introduce themselves then welcome the fans to another episode of the National Wrestling Alliance's Championship Wrestling. They then introduce ring announcer Christy Hemme & backstage announcer Charly Caruso. Ross & Thatcher immediately begin discussing the title changes from last Sunday night's NWA Clash Across the USA PPV from The Mecca, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Not olny did Bockwinkel become the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion, but the World's Tag Team Champions 'Bruiser' Brody & Stan 'Lariat' Hansen lost the belts to Gary Hart's team of Abdullah the Butcher & The Sheik in a controversial match. And the NWA Women's World's Tag Team Champions Canada's Finest (Natalyla Neidhart & Taylor Wilde) dropped belts to Challengers Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai in a thrilling wrestling match.
Jim & Les are joined immediately by manager 'Playboy' Gary Hart with the new World's Tag Team Champions Abdullah the Butcher & the Mysterious Sheik. Hart reminds Ross & Thatcher that he told them last week that Abdullah & the Sheik were not going to be denied!!! And his words were true. They are wearing the World's Tag Team Belts. Ross brings up the Sheik throwing a fireball & burning Brody badly but the Playboy cuts him off saying it was a no disqualification match. It did not stop Brody from bringing in his chain or Hansen his bullrope. That is what happens when you step in the ring with Abdullah the Butcher & the Sheik. They leave.
We are joined by Commissioner Jim Barnett who says that Brody is recuperating & will be back in action in the near future. Hansen will be doing some solo matches.
But Barnett wants to address the title change between ex champ Greg Valentine & new champ Nick Bockwinkel. Valentine & his manager James J. Dillon have filed an injunction against the NWA because Mr. Dillon was not allowed ringside for the title defense by Valentine. Mr. Dillon, more than once last Sunday night, get involved in his men's matches including Masa Saito & 'Ravishing' Ric Rude. Well, Mr. Dillon got injured by Paul Orndorff in the I Quit Match he had with Rude. Mr. Dillon was bloodied badly & not cleared by the NWA medical personnel to return to ringside for Mr. Vaentine's match with Mr. Bockwinkel. He claimes it was a conspiracy by me & the committee to take the belt off of Mr. Valentine & put it on Mr. Bockwinkel. It is preposterous!!! And I do not appreciate the accusations from Mr. Dillon.
Suddenly, the head of the Dynasty James J. Dillon & Greg 'the Hammer' Valentine interrupt the interview. JJ has the injunction in his hand & informs Mr. Jim Barnett that he has until the end of the program to return the NWA World's Heavyweight Belt back to the rightful champion Greg Valentine or else. JJ continues that he should have been allowed ringside with Valentine regardless of his physical capabilities. It was wrong. And the match should have been postponed or canceled. The Commissioner suggest they go back to his office to iron this out while Jim & Les send us to a commercial break.
