HELL IN A CELL: ROWDY RODDY PIPER & STING vs. “MILLION DOLLAR MAN” TED DIBIASE & JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD : JBL and the Million Dollar Man waited in the ring as Rowdy Roddy Piper made his entrance. As soon as he was inside the cell, Bobby Roode and James Storm ran down, entered the cell, and locked it shut. Piper was trapped. It was a 4-on-1 mugging. Sting descended from the ceiling onto the top of the cell and climbed down. He had a baseball bat and swung it at the cell walls. It was a futile attempt to try to force his way in. Piper was getting massacred. Suddenly, and rather unexpectedly, the Dudley Boyz came running out with giant wire and bolt cutters. They cut a hole in the cell. Now, it was 4-on-4 (but more like 4-on-3 as Piper was out of it). The Dudley Boyz gave Roode a 3-D through a table. Then, D-Von set up a table on the outside and Bubba Ray gave Storm a sit-out powerbomb from the turnbuckles down through the table!
Sting had successfully taken on the Million Dollar Man and JBL by himself for a while. He got to focus on beating up on DiBiase by himself until JBL returned to the ring with a bullrope and nailed Sting in the side of the head with the cowbell. JBL and DiBiase gave Sting a 2-on-1 beating that culminated with JBl nailing Sting with a Clothesline from Wall Street. He pinned Sting but the match hadn’t officially begun. The bell rang and then The ref made the count. 1…2… shoulder up! JBL and DiBiase stomped on Sting. They picked him up. DiBiase held him as JBL ran to the ropes to go for another one. Sting broke free and JBL nailed DiBiase. In the moment when he looked shocked, Sting nailed him with a dropkick. Sting backed him into the corner with punches and gave him a cross-corner whip. Wooo! Piper was back in the ring. He was a bloody mess, but he had his second wind. He was red from the blood and the Scottish anger. JBL faded away but DiBiase gave Piper a low blow from behind. After a side Russian legsweep, DiBiase put on his loaded black glove. He was readying to nail Piper but then he saw Sting get up. DiBiase went for a haymaker. Sting moved and dropkicked him. After a bodyslam and jumping elbow drop, Sting put DiBiase in the Scorpion Death Lock. JBL charged at him to give him a third Clothesline from Wall Street, but Sting released the hold and ducked. He gave JBL a kick to the mid-section, then turned him around and executed the Scorpion Death Drop! Sting pinned him, but DiBiase broke it up and then connected with his gloved fist. Sting was down and out. DiBiase stood laughing at the sight. It was a big mistake as Piper hit him between the shoulder blades with a shot from a baseball bat.
