PRO WRESTLING X
"LESNAR VERSUS NASH"
From the MGM Grand Garden Arena
Las Vegas, Nevada
06/26/2021
After a quick flash of the PWX logo, we hear the following "Still D.R.E." by Dr. Dre instrumental as the opening video montage begins to play.
We see various clips of different moves from the previous event, such as Sabu being powerbombed off the top through a table on the floor; Tommy End getting hit with the Boma Ye; Shayna Baszler choking out Sonya Deville; and Ken Shamrock elbowing Goldberg into a bloody mess to get a TKO victory.
We then cut to the ringside area, where we see an explosion of pyro and a crowd of 15,000 here in Las Vegas, screaming and cheering for the night of action to come! We then go to ringside, where play-by-play commentator Jimmy Smith and color analyst Montel Vontavious Porter are standing in, smiling and soaking up the crowd reaction.
Jimmy welcomes the fans in, and MVP gives a greetings and talks about how excited he is to be in Las Vegas and how much fun he has been having already this weekend! Jimmy says that maybe he should keep some of the sordid details to himself and MVP laughs that off, segueing right into the fun that tonight's card is going to be, because it is action packed from top to bottom! Jimmy says we have a huge tag team match between THE ELIMINATORS and WAR MACHINE, as well as a women's match featuring the popular PAIGE and the controversial NIA JAX, but MVP interjects and says these fans are here to see the two names on the marquee... and that's BROCK LESNAR taking on KEVIN NASH!
We then go to a video package to hype the main event for the evening.
We see Brock Lesnar running down a road in a weighted vest. We see Kevin Nash smashing a heavy bag with boxing gloves on and his hair pulled back. We then cut to Brock Lesnar sparring on the mat with different individuals and taking them down, slamming them very hard in some cases. Nash can be seen then doing a set of squats and then running drills in a ring with a coach.
Brock then gets a close up and says, "I have no respect for Kevin Nash. When we get in that ring on Saturday night, it is going to be all bad intentions."
We then cut to Kevin standing, drenched in sweat outside of a ring, "Listen, guys... I don't even know why I have to be in this damn match. I talked to Bischoff, he said it's a formality. I'm here to get the strap and get paid. This meat head, caveman, recluse, whatever... he's gonna act like he's big and bad and he's all about it, but at the end of the day, he just wants the check as well. We're prize fighters, that's what we do. I beat people up for money, and I've made more money than anybody else in this business doing it. PWX was smart to come knocking on my door, because Bischoff knows he can hook his caboose up to the Nash engine and we're going to be cashing fat checks for a long, long time. Lesnar, he's just some hillbilly, some hick, and he calls himself 'The Beast' or whatever, but where he's got the wrestling background, the braun, whatever... I'm 7 feet tall, I'm jacked, I'm training my ass off every day, and I'm a Hell of a lot smarter than that goof. It's gonna be boot, Jacknife, goodnight, and I'll be moving on to get my belt and my paycheck, pal."
We then go back to Lesnar, "Nash is the most arrogant piece of shit to ever step into a ring, and I'm going to do everybody a favor and tear him limb from limb. He thinks he's a big man and he's going to bully me around, but if he doesn't conveniently get hurt on the way to the ring, then I'll be sure to make sure he isn't walking out of it."
We then cut back to the ringside area, where we now see Eric Bischoff, president of PWX, standing in with Jimmy and MVP at the announcer's table.
There's some greetings and talk generally about how good the line up is for tonight. Smith says that he knows Bischoff wanted to make a statement coming out here and Eric confirms that. Eric says that like any wrestling promotion, there are going to be championships here in PWX, and it's his job to figure out the best matches to make in order to crown those champions and promote the best shows possible. He says he saw a lot of great things last week and is taking some notes, and he for sure is going to be watching over tonight very closely in making his decisions on which competitors should be in line for title matches. MVP presses and asks what championships we can expect to see here in PWX. Bischoff says that of course they are going to have a top championship of some name yet to be determined contested under a standard rule set and given a lot of respect that will hopefully lead to prestige. He then says that they are of course going to be looking into tag team and women's championships and he has the tough task of deciding who will be competing for those, which he says is a good problem to have. Then he says something intriguing, which is that there will be another championship, which he says will be called the X Division championship. MVP says he has heard of this sort of thing before, and Bischoff says yes, basically, when you think X Division title, that's roughly what they are aiming for with the PWX X Division title. Less stringent rules and structures, more freedom, no limits, that sort of thing, and he says PWX has one of the most exciting rosters... "Screw it, let's not be falsely modest, we've got the best damn roster on the planet," he says, and says that he and his team are having a field day figuring out what they want to do with the X Division title.
And with that, Eric thanks the team and we are finally ready to get to our first match of the evening!
Damian Priest vs. Ron Killings
The fans were excited to see these two take the ring here, and the crowd seemed split between who they wanted to see get the win. Both men scored victories last week, and tonight they were both looking to get another notch in their belt. After some good, fast paced back and forth action, Priest was able to catch Killings with a Fallaway Slam as a reversal, following up with his Hit The Lights finisher to end this match in under 5 minutes.
Winner by Pinfall: Damian Priest
After the match, Killings was holding his neck but offered Priest a handshake and it was accepted. Priest then got on the mic and he said he heard just like everybody else that Eric Bischoff is looking for title match contenders. He says if he wants to make things interesting, he'll make sure Damian Priest is in the X Division title match. The fans seem to approve of this as he makes his way to the back to a solid ovation.
We get a video package for the next PWX event...
"PWX 3: BENOIT VS. ANGLE"
Live from ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO'S TINGLEY COLISEUM!
SATURDAY, JULY 10, 2021
Featuring the main event of
"THE RABID WOLVERINE" CHRIS BENOIT versus "THE WRESTLING MACHINE" KURT ANGLE!
Also featured on the show...
"THE BEST IN THE WORLD" CM PUNK versus "THE KING OF STRONG STYLE" SHINSUKE NAKAMURA!
Low Ki vs. Will Ospreay
We had a very athletic, fast paced contest here, which actually seemed like it might have started to burn the crowd out a bit. Ki would slow the match down with some punishing kicks near the end, but Ospreay would manage to reverse a whip and after some flips, twists, reversals, a change of direction, and a leap frog for good measure, Ospreay comes off the middle turnbuckle and delivers the Os Cutter. Ospreay then delivers the Off With His Head elbow to the back of Ki's skull, finishing things off for the three count.
Winner by Pinfall: Will Ospreay
Kyle O'Reilly vs. Matt Riddle
This match was able to really slow things down a bit, as these two put on a very tough, physical contest. O'Reilly would really catch Riddle was some brutal kicks in this contest, as he worked over his left leg the entire match. Riddle use his size and skill on the mat to punish O'Reilly, but KOR showed that he was game and put up a good fight on the mat as he continued with his strategy of trying to trap the leg for a submission. Riddle would try for a Rear Naked Choke to finish but O'Reilly would put a good fight and manage to get to his feet, only to get hit with a Sleeper Suplex! Riddle would lock on the Bromission and manage to get the submission victory, and these two got a GREAT reaction from this crowd, who appreciated this tough, gritty contest.
Winner by Submission: Matt Riddle
Riddle gets on the mic after the match and says Kyle O'Reilly is a hell of a wrestler, bro. He says he is a stallion. But he says he knew he was going to get the win, and bro, he's looking to the next match. He says he saw Goldberg get his ass kicked by Shamrock, and he'd love to kick his ass to, bro. He says Brock Lesnar is wrestling tonight and he wants to end him, too. Or he sees like Kurt Angle or CM Punk (big pop) is wrestling in a couple of weeks, and he'd be glad to knock them out, bro, so whatever's good, he says that they need to make it happen! He knows he's got to make a name for himself, bro, but he wants that belt and he's ready to sleep anybody in the locker room!
Riddle gets a pretty decent reaction for his promo as he leaves with a big smile on his face.
Before the next match, we got to the crowd, where we see Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr and running back Kenyan Drake sitting in the third row! We then see boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya sitting in the crowd, looking like he's having maybe too good of a time, smiling and pumping his fist. We then see Ronda Rousey sitting with her husband former MMA fighter Travis Browne, and they give a bit of a wave to the camera with a smile. Jimmy Smith then sends us back to the ring for the women's match of the evening.
Nia Jax vs. Paige
Jax was getting a lot of heat here and she seemed to soak it up. The crowd were raucous early as Paige really put a hurting on Jax, as she attacked her knees and showed her wrestling skills while letting out high pitched shrieks. Jax was able to turn the tides and smashed Paige in the corner, before unloading a series of big closed fists to the head and face of Paige, causing the referee to break it up and warn the mammoth Jax. Jax just laughed, knowing the damage has been done, and just kind of shoved the ref out of the way. Jax would then hit a Samoan Drop for a two count. Jax would go for a legdrop, but Paige would move out of the way and rally back. Paige would try to come off of the top rope, but Jax would catch her with a Haymaker in mid-air, seemingly knocking her out cold, before coming off the ropes and hitting a Splash for a three count.
Winner by Pinfall: Nia Jax
Nia Jax gets on the microphone and says the porcelain doll got broke by "The Facebreaker" herself, and she says nobody can stop the "Irresistible Force", not even the so-called "Baddest Woman on the Planet"! This gets a HUGE pop from this Las Vegas crowd as MVP says we might have an impromptu fight on our hands and Jimmy Smith yells that we might need security over there! Jax looks like she is headed for the crowd and Ronda Rousey is up from her seat and being restrained by her husband, yelling that Jax "better keep her name out of her mouth, bitch!" Jax just laughs and says she's scared, and takes off as the crowd is in an uproar and booing Jax as she leaves, getting monster heel heat tonight.
The Eliminators: Saturn/Kronus vs. War Machine: Hanson/Rowe
What a great, physical contest between two very evenly matched teams. Seeing guys the size of Kronus and Hanson doing things like handspring elbows and dives over the ropes was a real treat for this audience, who really didn't know who to cheer for, but more importantly, who would come out on top. At one point it looked like War Machine might have it with Rowe delivering the Death Rowe to Saturn, but Kronus came off the top with a 450 Splash to break it up, getting a huge pop from this crowd! Saturn and Kronus would manage to deliver the Total Elimination to Hanson to get the win, and the crowd were chanting for the Eliminators afterwards as Saturn yelled and screamed about them being the "best fuckin' tag team on the planet!"
Winners by Pinfall: The Eliminators
Dynamite Kid vs. Ultimo Dragon
After a couple of very rough matches, we got a beautiful match that brought things back to the sweet science and athleticism of the sport. Dragon was able to avoid being kept down for too long by the Dynamite Kid and would light him up with a series of kicks and a Swinging Headscissors that took him out of the ring. Dragon would then deliver an Asai Moonsault to perfection, landing on his feet over the railing into the crowd and posing like a star. Back in the ring, Dynamite would catch a kick from Dragon and take him down with a Knee Drag, followed up into an STF to force Dragon to the ropes. Dynamite would continue to work the leg of Dragon, and Dragon would sell and get the crowd behind him. Dragon would reverse a whip in the corner by performing a Back Flip over Dynamite, but his injured leg would get jammed up and hobble him long enough for Dynamite Kid to dropkick his leg out from under him. Dynamite would hit a Fisherman's Suplex for a two count, but Dragon would kick out. Dynamite would go for the Tombstone, but Dragon would reverse it and lock on the Dragon Sleeper, but Dynamite would manage to reverse it and attempt a Northern Lights Suplex, but Dragon would block it and hit a Tornado DDT off the ropes for a two count. Dragon would head up to the top, but his injured leg slowed him down again and Dynamite would catch him with a Butterfly Superplex! Dynamite would roll to the apron and come off the top with the Swandive Headbutt, and that was all she wrote, Dynamite gets the win!
Winner by Pinfall: Dynamite Kid
Dynamite gets on the mic and says any of these wankers can get it... he'll murder all of 'em, he'll snap their bloody necks, he's a true champion and he'll fight for any belt! He says he should be the champion and if they don't believe him, ask the guy he just beat who the best is! He throws the mic down and marches to the back.
Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Nash
After a night of solid action, this was the one everybody has been waiting for. There's an intense stare down between Lesnar and Nash as the referee checks both men for foreign objects and tells them to follow the rules as they were instructed in the locker room before the match. When the bell sounds Lesnar immediately tries to get the jump on Nash, but Nash actually catches him coming in low with a knee to the head, ROCKING "THE BEAST INCARNATE" and the fans are going nuts! Nash stays on him, grabbing him from behind and delivering a Gutwrench Suplex for a two count! Lesnar wobbles up and "Big Sexy" sends him over the ropes with a clothesline, before doing a fist pump as the fans chant for Nash!
On the outside, Nash whips Lesnar and sends him shoulder first into the turnpost, sending him crashing hard in a whirlwind into the railing. Nash then rushes him and delivers a boot across his face that nearly sends him over the railing. Nash grabs Lesnar and looks like he might be sending him back into the ring, but Lesnar grabs Nash around the midsection and charges, sending him back first into the apron! Lesnar then grabs Nash and delivers a Vertical Suplex onto the ramp! MVP comments about the size and weight of Nash crashing into the unforgiving steel of the ramp and how his kidneys just took a beating! Lesnar then grabs Nash by the hair and pulls him up to his knees before blasting him with punches and elbows, leaving him in a heap as he heads back into the ring.
The referee has been lenient, but is to a count of 13, per the rules of this contest. Nash is hurting and he's bleeding from his forehead now after the sharp elbows of Lesnar. Nash manages to roll under the bottom rope, and Lesnar mercilessly attacks him with stomps. Lesnar grabs Nash from behind and delivers a German Suplex, and he stands up, looking smug and mocking the fans, doing his little bounce taunt. Nash is trying to pull himself up, but Lesnar grabs him and again takes him over with a German Suplex. Lesnar attempts a cover this time, but only a two count and the fans come alive!
Lesnar picks up Nash and delivers a short arm clothesline, taking the giant back down again, and he calls for the end, yelling out with his fists clinched. Lesnar grabs Nash and lifts him up onto his shoulders, and the fans are waiting... and LESNAR DELIVERS THE F5! Nash crashes to the mat with the F5 and Jimmy Smith yells, "OH MY GOD! THIS IS IT! LESNAR HAS HIM!" Lesnar makes the cover, and the fans count, ONE-TWO-THR- NO!
"BIG DADDY COOL" KICKS OUT OF THE F5!
Lesnar is beside himself and he shoves the referee down, screaming at him. Nash rolls to the ropes and is pulling himself up. Lesnar has a murderous look in his eyes and goes after Nash, but NASH DELIVERS A LOW BLOW! BIG LOW BLOW AND THE CROWD IS ELATED! MVP comments that is wild that the fans are just cheering on that illegal maneuver, but Nash is just that guy. Nash gets back to his feet, blood dripping down his face and he catches Lesnar with the boot across the face! AND HE PULLS DOWN THE STRAPS! The fans are on their feet as Jimmy Smith says he thinks it's time for the Jacknife! Nash grabs Lesnar up and pulls him in... he lifts him... JACKNIFE POWERBOMB! BIG AIR, HARD LANDING! MVP says it's goodnight for Lesnar and Nash makes the cover.
The referee rolls over and slowly makes the count... ONE... TWO... NO! LESNAR POWERS OUT OF IT, SHOVING NASH OFF OF HIM AND NASH CAN'T BELIEVE IT!
Instead of messing with the referee like Lesnar did, however, Nash goes back on the attack, punching Lesnar in the head and then trying to boot him again, but Lesnar catches it and spins Nash... ANOTHER GERMAN SUPLEX! Lesnar and Nash have both taken some damage, so they are both slow to their feet, but Lesnar manages to get behind Nash and dives, clipping the back of his left leg and tackling him down with a chop block! Nash is hurting, and he's rolling around clutching his leg. The referee is checking on Nash, thinking he may have been injured here, but Lesnar shoves the referee out of the way again and grabs the leg, stomping Nash a couple of times in the upper region before applying THE BROCK LOCK! THE BROCK LOCK!
Brock has his Stretch Muffler applied to Nash and he's trying to pull Nash's leg until it touches his head. Nash is reaching for the ropes, but Lesnar repositions and pulls him closer to the center of the ring and sits on it. Nash begins to tap immediately and it's all over.
Winner by Submission: Brock Lesnar
Brock grabs the microphone as the fans boo him and he shoves Nash out of the ring with his foot, pushing and stomping him until he crumples on the floor. Shawn Michaels and Sean Waltman run out, and Michaels gets on the apron to yell at Brock, who mocks HBK and tries to provoke him as security and officials break things up.
"What are you gonna do, Shawn? You want hurt like your big buddy there? Go ahead, smart guy, get in here and get your ass kicked and get a fine! I dare ya! Yeah, that's what I thought!"
Brock then proceeds, "I told you motherfuckers I was going to beat this asshole, and I did it, and I tore him apart, just like I said. Anybody else want it? HUH!? Ken Shamrock, you want a fight? You think you're tough, boy!? I'll eat you alive. I want my belt, Bischoff, and you know something, Nash was right about something... I want my damn bonus! Keep those checks coming and I'll show up when I feel like it, cause I'm the man, and nobody... NOBODY can stop me!"
Lesnar throws down the mic and heads to the back as the fans give him a loud reaction of primarily boos, and this show comes to an end.
