CCW Gulf Coast Wednesday Warfare, Episode 11
Commentators: Gorilla Monsoon and Honky Tonk Man
Ring Announcer: SoCal Val
Live from the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi
Gorilla Monsoon talks over a pan of the arena, packed to the rafters with fans. He mentions how Wednesday Warfare will now be a live arena show every week and this one will start off with Andy Kaufman in the ring, who controls the Gulf Coast Brand of Continental Championship Wrestling. We get a crossfade to a wide-eyed Kaufman in the ring drinking in the crowd noise.
AK: Welcome to Wednesday Warfare of the Gulf Coast Brand of Continental Championship Wrestling. The premiere place to be in the Mash Up Wrestling Universe. I am committed to bringing in the greatest talent possible and soon, I will be the manager of the biggest and greatest talent all you redneck hicks will ever see. When he comes in, he will crush everyone in his wake and I will control everything behind the scenes and on camera…
Before he can go on, the whinny of a horse is heard and then the music of the Four Horsemen plays. Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, Ole Anderson, Arn Anderson and Bobby Heenan walk into the ring. Heenan and Kaufman hug, all smiles. Andy hands Bobby the microphone.
BH: Drink it in, humanoids. The Original Four Horsemen are here and we run this place…with Andy Kaufman’s generous considerations.
Heenan turns and nods at Kaufman who is all ‘of course.’ Flair grabs the microphone from Heenan.
RF: I’m going to make one thing perfectly clear. I want what I deserve and that’s the Gulf Coast Title around my waist. I want Kurt Angle and I want him here tonight. Woo!
Before Kaufman can reply, Angle’s music hits and he runs out to the ring to a big pop. He has the Gulf Coast Title belt around his waist. He slides into the ring and goes nose to nose with Flair. Heenan tells the rest of the Horsemen to hang back. Kaufman hits the floor, gets some popcorn off of a vendor and starts eating it while watching the action in the ring.
KA: I defend this title against those who deserve a shot. And those who deserve a shot have integrity, intensity and intelligence. I’m not seeing any of that from who is in front of me. Woo!
It looks like Angle is going to get jumped, but then Curt Hennig’s music hits and he runs to the ring. He slides under the bottom rope and stands next to Angle.
RF: I gave you the benefit of professional courtesy once, Mr. Perfect, and once is all I give anyone. If you stand here now and with him, I can’t and I won’t protect you anymore.
Hennig steps forward and takes the microphone.
CH: You can take your professional courtesy and shove it up your ass!
That gets a crowd pop. Blanchard jumps forward and grabs the microphone from Flair.
TB: Mr. Perfect, the only thing you are is the perfect ass. The only reason you’re here in this company right now is because of Ric Flair. And the reason you’re going to be out of CCW is me.
With that the Four Horsemen charge forward and they have the numbers at 4-2. Heenan hits the floor and shares popcorn with Kaufman. The crowd noise goes to a roar as Strike Force of Tito Santana and Rick Martel runs into the ring and now we’re even. After some brawling, the heels wind up on the floor next to Heenan. Kaufman has the microphone again.
AK: Everyone needs to just chill like a bunch of little Fonzies. I don’t care if you fight, but I want the ratings off of it. So, everyone watching at home. You call your friends, your family, everyone you know and you tell them the main event of tonight’s show will be the Four Horsemen vs. Strike C/Kurts…C/Kurts Force? We’ll workshop it.
Heenan backs his guys off and they go up the aisle with the face in the ring, everyone pointing fingers and jawing at each other to break.

Incognito is a guy in a generic black mask and body suit. The commentators talk about how Sunny sold the Midnight Express’ contracts to Downtown Bruno to devote herself entirely to Austin and it would appear that they’re dating now.
Lockup to start and Guy gets a headlock, which seems to surprise Austin. He pushes Incognito out of it into the ropes and then knocks him down with a shoulder block. Knee drop off the rope misses. Incognito nails Steve with a dropkick as he stands. He falls to his butt and then rolls out of the floor to confer with Sunny. Suicide dive by Guy wipe both out. He throws Austin back into the ring and then gets a slingshot senton for two. Austin backs up into the corner and asks for a time out. Guy stomps a mudhole and flips Austin the double bird. Hip toss out of the corner. Running neck snap. Flying headbutt off the top.
WINNER: Guy Incognito by pinfall at 5:37
Sunny runs into the ring and immediately tends to Austin and brings him around. Both are like who the hell is this supposed jobber?
He removes his mask and it’s…
Chris Candido
Austin and Sunny are shocked. Candido gets a microphone.
CC: Surprised to see me? Thought you heard the last of me? I woke up one morning and you were gone and I turned on Superstar Saturday to hear you say you had sold the contracts of the Midnight Express and there was no mention of me. You talked about how you would go wherever Steve Austin went. Used to be, you’d go wherever I went.
Sunny rips the microphone out of Candido’s hands.
Sunny: What the hell are you doing here? I figured you’d get the drift and just move on. I got your contract revoked. How the hell did you get a job back here?
CC: I went straight to Andy Kaufman.
Cut to Kaufman in the back watching a monitor eating out of a bag of popcorn.
AK: I love drama, what can I say.
Cut back to the ring and Sunny goes to slap Chris. He grabs her hand to stop her. She kicks him in the balls. Austin grabs her and they run off down the aisle. After recovering from the shot, Candido chases them.

The bell rings and the two start trading punches like it’s a boxing match, not a wrestling bout. They fall into the ropes and then spill over them to the floor. They continue to brawl around the ringside area and up the aisle. They disappear into the back.
Winner: Double Count Out at 1:43
We cut to the back where Robert Gibson is in a tuxedo and holding a microphone. He reminds fans how he’s out for six months or so with a knee injury. Due to that, he’s agreed to help out by doing backstage interviews. His first guest is Shawn Michaels, who is still suffering from a concession from nailing an exposed turnbuckle pin at the cruiserweight title tournament. Footage of that is shown.
RG: Shawn, originally you were scheduled to tag with Rey Mysterio Jr. tonight against Dynamite Kid and Lance Storm, but due to your concession you’re on the shelf for at least another week.
SM: Dynamite Kid did me dirty at the title tournament, because he knew he couldn’t beat me in a fair one-on-one match. The way I look at it, I’m owed a legit singles match with Dynamite Kid with that Gulf Coast Cruiserweight Title on the line. And I’ll get it, if he’s man enough to give it to me. And I wish I was going to get a piece of him tonight.
Rey Mysterio then enters and does a bro hug with Shawn.
SM: I’m sorry I won’t have your back out there tonight, Rey.
RM: That’s okay, Shawn. You need to take care of your health. I found me a partner who is willing to get in that ring with me tonight. Someone who wants a piece of Dynamite Kid as bad as we do. I understand what it means to be a legacy. To carry on the name of family. A lot of time people drop the Junior off my name, which I proudly carry to honor my uncle, the original Rey Mysterio. My partner tonight is someone who understands legacy, family and I know will have my back out there tonight…Brian Pillman Jr.
Pillman comes in and does bro hugs with Shawn and Rey.
BPJ: You knocked me out the first round of the title tournament, Dynamite Kid. I confess I’m still a little green. I’m still figuring out myself in the ring. Rey Mysterio tapping me to replace Shawn Michaels as his partner tonight is a huge honor and I won’t let him down.
At this moment, Batista and Garvin come fighting in. The other guys get out of the way. They knock down the backdrop. Batista is on top of Garvin and is raining down punches. Garvin manages to roll Dave over and get on top and he’s wailing down punches now. Backstage personnel swoop in break them up as we fade to break.

Referee: Tommy Young
Mysterio and Pillman control in the early going, but Storm eye gouges Mysterio while Kid has Young distracted. Storm with a tilt-a-whirl gutbuster and tag to Kid. Kid comes in with a double stomp off the second turnbuckle. Whip to the corner and Kid does a charging shoulder tackle to the gut that almost looks like a spear. Suplex out of the corner with a float over cover for two. T-Bone suplex for two. Kid works an arm wringer. He holds the arm and tags Storm, who comes in with a double axe handle to the shoulder. Storm misses a clothesline off the ropes and Rey gets a flying crossbody. Tag to Pillman. He’s a house of fire and even nails Kid on the apron. Kid goes and gets the Cruiserweight Title. Storm pulls Young in the way of a Pillman charge, so he’s down. Kid comes around the outside corner with the belt. Shawn Michaels appears out of nowhere and super kicks the belt as Kid is holding it into his face and he’s out. Back in the ring, Mysterio surprises with a flying head scissors onto Storm. He falls onto the ropes. 619 leads to the West Coast Pop. Pillman nails a top rope senton. Young comes around as Brian hits the Dying Promise.

Robert Gibson is back with Bobby Heenan.
BH: I hope all the humanoids watching at home did what Andy Kaufman told them to. They called their friends, their family, everyone they know and told them to watch the main event. Because this is the coming out party for the Original Four Horsemen back and better than ever here in Continental Championship Wrestling and the Gulf Coast brand.
Kurt Angle, it’s just a matter of time before your Gulf Coast Title is around the waist of Ric Flair. Curt Hennig, we’ve had a relationship in the past, but that’s not paying my bills now. If Tully Blanchard said you’re out, then you’re out. And, Strike Force, you stuck your noses into a situation that didn’t concern you because you hoped you would get a shot at the tag team titles the Four Horsemen control.
People talk about Freebird Rules. Well, we follow Horsemen Rules. They’re simple, the rules are whatever we say they are. The Gulf Coast Tag Team Titles were originally won by Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, but we’re moving them over to the Minnesota Wrecking Crew of Arn and Ole Anderson. And that’s at the request of Blanchard. Curt Hennig, Tully wants your blood so bad he’s willing to give up a tag team title belt so he’s free to pursue you in singles matches.
The Four Horsemen are back together. Learn to love it or at least get used to it, because Gulf Coast is Horsemen Country.
Morton goes for a lockup, but Smash kicks him in the gut and starts beating on him. He roughly throws Ricky into the corner and charges to eat a back elbow. Morton comes off the second turnbuckle with an elbow to the head. Whip to the ropes and he doubles Smash over with a knee to the gut. He leans into the ropes and Ax trips him up. Morton jaws at him and this allows Smash to attack him from behind. Smash tosses Ricky to the floor and gets in Marella’s face. Ax beats on Morton on the floor and throws him into the outside ring post. Smash comes out and gets Morton. Running power slam on the outside. He throws Morton back in and does a rope walk elbow drop.

AA hits the spinebuster and tags Blanchard. Tully beats on Hennig and eventually gets the slingshot suplex with a cover. Curt gets his shoulder up. Blanchard throws Hennig into his corner and argues the count with Young. This allows the heels to beat on Hennig. The faces then run in and Young tries to hold them off. The chaos does allow Hennig to fight out of the corner and then he surprises Blanchard with a running clothesline. The faces are back on the apron and Curt goes for the tag, but Blanchard from the mat manages to trip Hennig and grabs his foot. He pulls Hennig to the corner and tags Flair. Ric comes in and measures Hennig on his knees for a punch. Flair seems hesitant, then the look on his face is ‘screw it’ and he nails Curt in the face. He chops Curt into a neutral corner. Curt wakes up, spins around and chops the crap out of Flair. Hard whip to the corner and Flair does the corner flip with rail runner. But he runs toward the face corner, see Kurt Angle, stops, turns and Flair Flops off the apron to the floor. Hennig tags Santana who gets in the ring and suicide dives into Flair. The crowd pops.
