DANIEL BRYAN vs. SAMMY GUEVARA : Daniel Bryan had Sammy Guevara trapped in the Yes! Lock. Guevara was trying not to tap out, but he appeared on the verge of doing it so Jake Hager jumped onto the ring apron and started to step through the ropes, which got the referee to go over and block him. That was when Guevara began to hit the mat with his free hand. Bryan released Guevara and knocked Hager off the ring apron. He ran to the far ropes and went through the near ones to knock Hager into the barricade with a topé suicida. Hager didn’t come off his feet, so Bryan did it a second time. Then he went to the turnbuckle and climbed to the top. Guevara hopped up to meet him and brought him down to the mat with a Spanish fly. He pinned Bryan. 1…2… kick out! Guevara picked up Bryan and gave him a few kicks and a side Russian legsweep and then went to the top turnbuckle. Before he reached the top, he gave the fans here in Hart Foundation country a middle finger salute. Once at the top, he went for a shooting star press but he landed on Bryan’s knees. Bryan immediately turned over on Guevara and put him back in the Yes! Lock. This time Guevara tapped out. (17:58) -- Winner: Daniel Bryan
Mean Gene interviewed the Billion Dollar Corporation. Beer Money Inc. said that they were going to become WWE Tag Team Champions. Ted DiBiase and John Bradshaw Layfield said that the oddsmakers in Las Vegas are going to take a lot of hits because they’re advising everyone to put their money on a Million Dollar Man – JBL finals for the Intercontinental Championship tournament. Mean Gene asked how they planned to achieve that. It’s simple, they replied. Everyone has a price. On Monday, we named Eddie Guerrero’s price. Tonight, we’ll name Rowdy Roddy Piper’s price. DiBiase cackled as JBL lifted a large briefcase full of cash into the shot.
MICKIE JAMES vs. NIKKI BELLA vs. ALICIA FOX : Mickie James hopped onto the top rope to attempt a springboard maneuver but was shoved to the floor by Alicia Fox. When Fox turned around, she received a spear from Nikki Bella, who then picked her up and executed the Rack Attack for the win. (8:25) -- Winner: Nikki Bella
THE UNDERTAKER vs. ERICK ROWAN : The Undertaker executed snake eyes and a running clothesline on Erick Rowan. He gave the throat-slitting hand gesture to signal he was ready to end the match. Luke Harper jumped in the ring to try to interfere, but he was met with a series of upper cut throat thrusts and a clothesline that sent him over the ropes. The Undertaker gave Rowan a chokeslam, then scooped him up and executed the Tombstone. After the match, The Undertaker took a microphone and said that he plans to destroy the Wyatt Family. He’s just beaten Rowan. Next, he’s going to take out Luke Harper, then he’s going to finally get his hands on Bray Wyatt, one-on-one, and when he does, Wyatt will rest in peace. (6:14) -- Winner: The Undertaker
Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman were guests on Miz TV, where they revealed that they filed a protest of the results of the WWE Universal Championship match between Hulk Hogan and Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber. According to Heyman, a crime in the first degree was committed against his client by the authority figure, John Cena. Reigns became another victim of a man in uniform abusing his power. Reigns said that he was supposed to defeat Hulk Hogan and then defend the WWE Universal Championship against John Cena at Wrestlemania. The main event is the rightful place – and the only place for the Head of Table – on the card. He went on to tell The Miz that Cena’s motto is Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. Laying his hands on the Tribal Chief while acting as a referee was an act of disrespect. Cena deserves no respect and if he wants to get back even a sliver of the amount of respect he lost, he’ll face him one-on-one in the right next week on Smackdown, and he’ll put his spot at Wrestlemania on the line because it’s the right thing to do. The Miz asked the fans if they would want to see it and they cheered loudly, so he encouraged Cena to come on Miz TV at Monday Night RAW to do what the entire WWE Universe wants him to do: accept the challenge.
Then, John Cena came out and said he’d do him one better and come on Miz TV now. He defended himself. He said the entire WWE Universe knows what happened. They saw Reigns put his hands on him. He might have responded with more force than necessary, but that point is debatable. Cena doesn’t thing it was too much. When someone thinks the rules don’t apply to them, it takes an exceptional response to put them in their place. The fact is Reigns needed to have his attitude adjusted and he still does. Next Friday on Smackdown, Reigns will get that attitude adjustment he so desperately needs, and after he beats Reigns in the center of that ring, he and Heyman can go cry about how they didn’t get what they want to anyone willing to listen to their sad, sorry story.
ROWDY RODDY PIPER vs. JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD : The entire Billion Dollar Corporation exited JBL’s limo and came to the ring. JBL was carrying a briefcase to the ring. He entered the ring, opened it to show Piper the cash, and explained that the money was his if he just laid down for the 1-2-3. When asked what he would do, Piper looked to the crowd, which didn’t want him to do it. They booed when he agreed to do the job. He took the briefcase and laid it down in the corner near his kilt and leather jacket. The bell rang and the Hot Rod laid down in the middle of the ring. JBL went over and placed a foot on Piper’s chest. 1…2… Piper removed the foot, tripped him up and folded him over into a jacknife cover. Piper put his feet on the ropes for added leverage and the referee counted to three! Piper swindled the BDC! DiBiase, Roode and Storm immediately jumped into the ring and beat down Piper. Roode and Storm held Piper as DiBiase and JBL berated him. Piper spit in DiBiase’s face, so he hit him across the face with the briefcase. Roode and Storm gave him Drinking While Investing, then brought him to his feet for JBL to nail him with a Clothesline from Wall Street. DiBiase shoved a crisp $100 bill in Piper’s mouth and took the briefcase with him as the BDC left the ring. (0:15) -- Winner: Rowdy Roddy Piper
OWEN HART & DAVEY BOY SMITH vs. SANTANA & ORTIZ : This match saw outside interference at various times from Jake Hager and Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, both of whom eventually ended up getting into a fight around ringside. That fight drew Sammy Guevara and Brian Pillman out from the back. Santana and Ortiz attempted to use a referee distraction to their advantage when they brough a chair into the ring, but that backfired when Owen Hart did a spinning heel kick into the chair, sending it back into Santana’s face. He held off Ortiz as Davey Boy Smith gave Santana his running powerslam and pinned him to get the win, making his team the second to get a spot in the semifinals of the WWE Tag Team Championships tournament. (16:18) -- Winners: Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith
