EDDIE EDWARDS vs. ANGEL GARZA : Edwards and Garza were brawling outside the ring. Garza went for a superkick but Edwards sidestepped it and gave Garza a German suplex. He picked up Garza and tossed him into the ring. Garza got the referee to turn his back to Edwards by complaining about an injured shoulder. Meanwhile, outside the ring, Raquel Gonzalez appeared. She grabbed Edwards before he could enter the ring and threw him into the barricade and then gave him a jackknife powerbomb. She tossed Edwards into the ring and walked away. Garza was miraculously cured. He gave Edwards the Wing-Clipper and pinned him for the win. (11:15) Winner: Angel Garza
In a backstage interview after the match, Angel Garza denied any knowledge of Raquel Gonzalez’s interference in his match, saying that he won the match in spite of injuring his shoulder.
RED VELVET vs. TENILLE DASHWOOD : Red Velvet executed a Michinoku Driver that got a long 2-count. After that didn’t win the match, she went up to the top rope and attempted a swanton bomb, but Dashwood moved out of the way. After executing a discus elbow smash and giving Red Velvet an airplane spin, she gave her the Spotlight kick and pinned her for the win, advancing her to the semifinals of the NXT Women’s Championship tournament. (9:18) Winner: Tenille Dashwood
Cameras caught Raquel Gonzalez leaving Full Sail Live. The crew tried to catch up with her to get an interview, but she refused to acknowledge them. She got in her car and drove off, never once looking at the camera crew, even after it reached the driver’s side door before she got the car in motion.
Kevin Owens came to say that he had come to NXT because it was the only way to get back in the ring after he had been suspended indefinitely from the WWE brand. He figures that if he can’t win the WWE Universal Championship, he might as well come down to Florida and win the NXT Championship. Last week, he made a statement – that he is now the best wrestler in NXT and WALTER’s title reign will be short lived. Imperium came out. WALTER said that Owens doesn’t get to just show up and jump to the top of the line. He needs to prove he is worthy of a title shot, and so far he has done nothing to that end. Owens said he would prove it by beating every one of the dummies walking down to the ring right now. Alexander Wolfe said that he would like nothing more than to show the world that Imperium is the best thing in professional wrestling and challenged Owens to a match next week. By this point, Imperium had surrounded the ring. Fabian Aichner jumped on the ring and back down to avoid a swing from Owens. Barthel came in the ring and got a pop-up powerbomb. Wolfe hit Owens from behind. Owens shoved him away but WALTER took him over with a German suplex. WALTER and Wolfe put the boots to Owens until American Alpha ran down to make the save and get their match versus Imperium started.
AMERICAN ALPHA vs. IMPERIUM : Late in the match, Jason Jordan landed awkwardly on the floor when he was sent over the top rope by a Fabian Aichner back body drop. He managed to get back in the ring and tag Chad Gable into the ring. Gable suplexed Aichner around the ring, then tosses Marcel Barthel over the top rope as he ran at him. Gable gave him a suicide dive but then Alexander Wolfe ran him over with a clothesline and put the boots to him. Kevin Owens ran back down to the ring and chased Wolfe off. Gable was sent back into the ring and he was quickly given a diving European uppercut powerbomb combo. Aichner pinned him and got the win. (15:36) Winners: IMPERIUM
