AJ STYLES vs. MARK HENRY w/ Jim Cornette : Mark Henry was dominant in the beginning. Slowly but surely, AJ Styles mounted a comeback. His momentum grew enough to worry Jim Cornette, who placed his tennis racket on the ring apron for Henry to pick up, and went around the ring to create a diversion. As he distracted Styles and the referee. Henry staggered over to get the tennis racket, but someone else got his hands on just before he could. Henry looked up to Keith Lee holding the racket. Henry was pissed. He jumped out of the ring and chased Lee off. The referee proceeded to count Henry out as Cornette lost his marbles. With the win, AJ Styles qualified for a spot in the men’s elimination chamber match. (8:14) -- Winner: AJ STYLES
Returning from commercial break, a frantic Jim Cornette was interviewed backstage. He was incensed. He said that the World’s Strongest Man was supposed to come in here and dominate the Royal Rumble to earn a WWE Universal Championship match at Wrestlemania, but Keith Lee got in the way. Then, Henry was supposed to win the elimination chamber to earn a Mash-Up Wrestling World Championship match at Wrestlemania, but again, Keith Lee got in the way. It’s time to knock the obstacle over and smash it into a million pieces. Cornette says they’ll be seeing “Limitless” Keith Lee at WWE Elimination Chamber where Mark Henry will put him in his Hall of Pain!
MICKIE JAMES vs. LIV MORGAN : This match seemed evenly contested until Mickie James hit the Mick Kick from seemingly out of nowhere. It did the trick by putting Liv Morgan down for the 3-count. As a result, Mickie James earned a spot in the women’s elimination chamber match. (5:25) -- Winner: Mickie James
MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS vs. DUDLEY BOYZ : Alex Shelley was dumped over the top rope by Bubba Ray Dudley with a back body drop. Chris Sabin missed a missile dropkick and was then given the What’s Up diving headbutt to the crotch. After that, the Dudleys executed 3-D and won the match, earning the final spot in the WWE Tag Team Championship tournament. (12:38) -- Winners: Dudley Boyz
A notable backstage promo featuring The Wyatt Family saw Bray Wyatt talking at great length about his history with The Undertaker and how that has led to his current frustrations with the Deadman. It’s time for this war to see another battle. A challenge is put forward for The Undertaker to meet him in the ring for a match next week on RAW.
EDDIE GUERRERO, REY MYSTERIO JR. & HARLEM HEAT vs. THE BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION : This was a hot 8-man tag team match that went over 20-minutes. With so many men involved, the action maintained a steady pace throughout the contest. There were many close finishes with Guerrero giving Roode a frog splash, Booker T and Stevie Ray giving Storm the Heat Seeker, JBL giving Stevie Ray the Clothesline From Wall Street, Mysterio giving DiBiase the 6-1-9 and West Coast Pop, and Roode and Storm executing Driking While Investing on Guerrero. The end of the match came when Mysterio saved Guerrero from the Million Dollar Dream. A couple of blind tags were made as Guerrero, Mysterio, JBL and DiBiase spilled to the outside to brawl. Inside the ring, Roode set up Stevie Ray for the Glorious DDT, but Booker T got him with a jumping hook kick and executed a Bookend on Storm. Then, Booker and Stevie Ray executed the Towering Inferno on Roode, and Stevie Ray made the cover for the win. (22:43) -- Winners: Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio Jr. & Harlem Heat
The Inner Circle took over the ring to air its frustrations with the Hart Foundation. Chief among them, Chris Jericho complained about Bret Hart being in last week’s ladder match when he didn’t belong. Of course, he and that assclown Brian Pillman had to take his title shot away. Jericho’s frustrations are such that he demands that Vince McMahon fire Pillman and suspend Bret Hart. The Hart Foundation interrupt. They come out onto the entrance set. Bret Hart says that he had just as good a shot of winning that ladder match. Had it not been for that neanderthal, Jake Hager, it would be The Hitman challenging Hulk Hogan for the Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber. This crap has gone on long enough. Hart says it is time to finally settle the score between the two of them. He challenges Jericho to a one-on-one match at Elimination Chamber. Jericho accepts, but continues to cut down the Hart Foundation, who decide to start marching to the ring. Vince McMahon comes out on stage and says that he doesn’t need the two groups having another brawl. If they leave the arena without getting a fight, then he’ll add the stipulation that the winner of the Elimination Chamber match will receive a shot at the Universal Championship the next night on RAW (in Jericho’s hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, no less!).
HULK HOGAN vs. SHELTON BENJAMIN w/ Jim Cornette : Paul Heyman joined Michael Cole and Corey Graves on commentary for the main event. He was complimentary to Jim Cornette, talked up his client, Roman Reigns, talked down Hulk Hogan, and complained that Reigns would not have a fair fight against Hogan with John Cena as the special guest referee. Evidence of his favoritism was on full display at the contract signing this past Monday. Meanwhile, in the ring, Hogan was the victim of a double-team attack by Shelton Benjamin and his tag team partner, Charlie Haas. Hogan was the face in peril, but he eventually hulked up. To try to snuff out his comeback, Cornette had Haas getting involved again. Keith Lee came down and pounced Haas over the barricade and into the front row. Mark Henry came out and they threw down. Back in the ring, Hogan kicked out after a teardrop suplex and hulked up. An atomic drop, big boot, bodyslam and leg drop later, and Hogan had the win. He collected his title and stood on the turnbuckles with it. When he got down, he was given a spear by Roman Reigns. There would be no epic posedown tonight. Instead, Reigns picked up the title, stared at it for a long momentum and dropped it on Hogan’s chest as he clutched his ribs. (11:26) -- Winner: Hulk Hogan
