OWEN HART & DAVEY BOY SMITH vs. THE HYBRID 2 : Owen Hart executed a missile dropkick on Jack Evans to send him out of the ring. Then, he gave Angelico an overhead belly-to-belly suplex and tagged in Davey Boy Smith, who gave him a running powerslam and made the pin to get the win. As a result, Hart and Smith qualified for a a spot in the WWE Tag Team Championship tournament. (11:32) -- Winners: Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith
RHEA RIPLEY vs. RUBY RIOTT : Rhea Ripley had Ruby Riott in the pumphandle position, set up for the Riptide, but Jazz climbed onto the ring apron, causing her to release Riott. Ripley charged and took a swing at Jazz, who jumped down in the nick of time. When Ripley turned around, Riott gave her the Riot Kick and covered her for the win. As a result, Ruby Riott will be competing in the women's elimination chamber match, and Rhea Ripley will not. (7:53) -- Winner: Ruby Riott
KEITH LEE vs. JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD : JBL gave Keith Lee a running big boot that knocked him out of the ring. JBL tried to exit the ring, but the referee got in his way. The referee got caught up in an argument that gave Mark Henry and Jim Cornette enough time to run down to the ring. Henry picked up Lee and gave him a World’s Strongest Slam at the bottom of the entrance ramp. JBL gave up the fight and let the referee do his job, which resulted in him getting the win via countout. As a result, JBL earned a spot in the men’s elimination chamber match. (9:12) -- Winner: John Bradshaw Layfield
Roman Reigns and his advocate, Paul Heyman, were guests on MIZ TV. As a guest on the show, Reigns disclosed to The Miz, that the reason he attacked John Cena and Hulk Hogan last week was to send them a very simple message: “I’m the head of the table now.” Reigns talked about their past. He explained that the three of them used to run together out on the west coast. They even won gold together. They were thick as thieves. They were brothers. But when opportunities out west dried up and Vince McMahon reopened WWE, it was like none of that mattered anymore. And when Reigns was injured by Imperium, where were Hogan and Cena? Hogan says he fought to get revenge for him, but he never even called him once to see how he was doing. He never even sent a text message. Before he could say anything about Cena came out to find out if Reigns would talk shit about him to his face instead of behind his back. Reigns said that coming out here to interrupt him was to disrespect him, just like when Cena broke their pact to toss everyone from the Rumble and fight straight up one-on-one for the spot in the Wrestlemania main event. Cena says that they had no pact. It’s every man for himself – they literally say that in the advertisements for the event. Reigns invited Cena to stick around and pull up a seat at ringside for tonight’s main event. He’ll see Reigns wreck everyone and earn the contract for a WWE Universal Championship match at Elimination Chamber. At Elimination Chamber, he’s going to defeat Hogan for the title, and then he’s going to go on to Wrestlemania to do to Cena what he’ll do to Hogan at Elimination Chamber. He promises that all these things will come to pass because his word is his bond.
ROWDY RODDY PIPER vs. KEVIN OWENS : Rowdy Roddy Piper and Kevin Owens were having one heck of a brawl until Owens executed a powerbomb off the side of the ring apron. Piper’s back had been injured and Owens began to exploit that injury. In spite of his focused attack on Piper’s lower back, Owens was unable to pin Piper for a 3-count nor get him to submit. Owens attempted a pop-up powerbomb, but Piper countered with punches to the heat to get Owens to fall backwards. He hooked his legs in a double leg cradle and nearly won the match. Piper found his second wind, and he battled back. He had Owens on the defensive until he trapped him in the corner and went for 10-punches on the turnbuckles. After receiving six, Owens lifted Piper out of the corner, ran him to the center of the ring and gave him a powerbomb. When they recovered, they traded punches. Owens managed to block a jab and kick Piper in the mid-section. He attempted a stunner but Piper shoved Owens into the turnbuckles and then gave him a running high-knee strike to the back, sending him into the turnbuckles again. Piper immediately rolled up Owens with the O’Connor roll and grabbed his tights for added leverage. The trick worked. He secured the three count and earned a spot in the men’s elimination chamber match. Owens argued the results and complained that his tights were held. The referee refused to change the result, so Owens gave him a stunner. By losing the match, Owens would now be suspended indefinitely until his WWE contract expires. For that reason, he had a tantrum as he left the ringside area. (17:54) -- Winner: Rowdy Roddy Piper
Coming back from commercial break, cameras in the backstage area caught Kevin Owens having a temper tantrum. He shouted as backstage personnel, threw objects around and tore apart the interview set. Booker T was walking by and told him to chill. Owens told him to mind his own business. Once Booker T had his back turned, Owens found a stack of steel chairs nearby, grabbed one and hit Booker T from behind. He hit him a few times, punched and kicked at him and then gave him a powerbomb through a catering table.
#DIY vs. PROUD & POWERFUL : Tommaso Ciampa executed Widow’s Bell on Ortiz and made the cover but Santana jumped at him with a double axehandle between the shoulder blades to break it up. Johnny Gargano attacked Santana. After a brief exchange, Gargano went for a superkick. Santana moved out of the way and Gargano’s kick connected with Ciampa’s face. Then, Santana got Gargano with a superkick and tossed him from the ring. After that, Santana and Ortiz executed the Street Sweeper on Ciampa to win a spot in the WWE Tag Team Championship tournament. (15:42) -- Winners: Proud & Powerful
BETH PHOENIX vs. SARAH LOGAN : Beth Phoenix and Sarah Logan had a good brawl outside the ring. The presence of Riott Squad member Liv Morgan at ringside helped her to get the advantage, but Phoenix fought back, eventually executing the Glam Slam to get the win and qualify for a spot in the women’s elimination chamber match. (8:15) -- Winner: Beth Phoenix
LADDER MATCH FOR A WWE UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH: AJ STYLES vs. BRET HART vs. CHRIS JERICHO vs. ROMAN REIGNS vs. TED DIBIASE : Originally, the participants in this match were selected for having been the top five runners-up in the Royal Rumble match. Booker T was injured backstage and deemed unable to compete by medical personnel, so he was replaced in the match by Bret “The Hitman” Hart, which angered Chris Jericho to no end. There were several attempts to climb the ladder and retrieve the clip board with the title match contract attached to it. Everyone was battered and bruised by ladders. In the last few minutes of the match, AJ Styles took out “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, who he had placed on a ladder that was bridging the gap between the ring and the barricade, by climbing a 16-foot ladder and performing a 450-degree splash on DiBiase through the ladder. About a minuter later, Reigns was brawling with Styles, and took him out by giving him a spear through the barricade into the timekeeper’s area. Back in the ring, Hart and Jericho threw fists at each other while climbing a ladder. When they got to the top, they kept hitting each other. Hart slammed Jericho’s face off the top of the ladder and pushed him down. However, he was prevented from getting the contract by Jake Hager, who climbed the ladder and put him in an ankle lock. Jericho recovered and started going back up the ladder but then Brian Pillman came into the ring, climbed an adjacent ladder, and pulled Jericho’s arms through its rungs into a ladder-assisted cross armbreaker. Hager pulled Hart down to the mat and they traded blows until Roman Reigns gave them a double spear. He knocked over the ladders, sending Pillman and Jericho crashing to the mat, and then threw them out of the ring, leaving him with a clear path to the contract. (22:49) -- Winner: Roman Reigns
