The show opens with Tony Schiavone in the ring for an interview with Bret “The Hitman” Hart. He talks about his hard work and dedication to become the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be, and says that he’s going to become the next World Champion at Royal Rumble.
Chris Jericho comes to the ring flanked by Santana and Ortiz. He says Hart doesn’t deserve the title shot and says that he wouldn’t have it if he didn’t stab him in the back at Survivor Series. Hart said that was a temporary alliance that fell apart when Jericho tried to eliminate him. The real dishonorable person here is the so-called Demo God. Jericho challenges Hart to a one-on-one contest for his title shot, right here, right now. Hart isn’t stupid and says that he knows better than to put his title shot on the line in a match that is really going to be 3-on-1. Jericho says if he isn’t going to give him the match, then he’ll get a 3-on-1 beat down.
Hart tries to defend himself against Santana and Ortiz and does well, but then Jericho pops him in the mouth with the Judas Effect. He sits down on Hart and keeps throwing fists until Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith run out. Jericho, Santana and Ortiz flee from the ring. Owen calls Jericho a Nugget and Smith lays down the challenge of a 6-man tag team match later tonight.

Just then, Daniel Bryan walks by. He introduces himself to Steamboat, tells him he has great respect for him, and says that he looks forward to one day competing against him inside the ring.

At the Wyatt Family compound somewhere in the Louisiana Bayou, Bray Wyatt speaks of collecting souls. He says it is a sin to collect and bury them. It is a virtue to lead them to salvation. That is the difference between Wyatt and The Undertaker. Wyatt saves them. He shows them the light. The flickers of the fireflies. No longer will any soul be the victim of the unliving spawn of Satan himself. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan push the casket containing The Undertaker’s body down to a wooden dock and drop it into a rowboat. The empty a pair of gasoline cannisters onto it, untie it from the dock and push it away. As the boat starts away, Wyatt walks to the end of the dock with his lantern and throws it at the casket. It smashes to pieces and immediately sets the casket ablaze. The Wyatt Family stare at the casket and the rowboat as they burn.

Angel Garza executes the Wing-Clipper on Eddie Edwards to collect the victory. Zelina Vega distracted the referee, allowing Garza to choke Edwards with his tearaway pants. After the match, Davey Richards checked on his partner and said something that got under Garza’s skin. He gave Richards a superkick and laughed about it with Vega. (8:43)
Winner: Angel Garza

Jonathan Coachman interviews Tenille Dashwood, who says no one should be surprised that she was the last member of her team to be eliminated, but she wouldn’t have been eliminated if Bayley and Bianca Belair hadn’t acted like a couple of idiots and got themselves eliminated. She says the IIconics would have made better tag team partners because they would have had her back.

BRET HART, OWEN HART & DAVEY BOY SMITH vs. CHRIS JERICHO, SANTANA & ORTIZ
Bret Hart makes Ortiz submit to the Sharpshooter to earn a victory for his team. The Hart Family’s victory celebration is cut short when Jericho, Santana and Ortiz are joined in the ring by Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara for a 5-on-3 beatdown. Jericho says that Hart is a pathetic loser who still hasn’t proved he’s better than Le Champion and until he faces him one-on-one, everyone will know that he’s a poor excuse for a challenger to Samoa Joe. (22:35)
Winners: Bret Hart, Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith
