NWA Championship Wrestling Oct. 17, 2020, Saturday TV Taping
We officially open with the regular promo that leads to the team of Gordon Solie & Jim Ross in front of the huge NWA Logo for the new episode of NWA Championship Wrestling. Gordon & Jim welcome the fans back to another exciting episode of NWA Championship Wrestling. They announce the next Pay-Per-View is the Monster Mash set for October 27 from Chicago, Ill. from the Credit 1 Union Arena. We have signed a guest host for the big event, the one & only Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
Before they can continue, an unhappy NWA United States Junior Heavyweight Champion 'Superstar' Bill Dundee comes to cry about how he is not respected in the NWA. He says he should be headlining the Pay Per View events but he isn't. In fact Dundee says he will defend the belt on tv today against a quality opponent. Commissioner Jim Barnett comes out to tray to cool things down. He tells Mr. Dundee he is not booked on TV today but Billy sweet talks Jim into changing the lineup & putting him on. The Commissioner tells the champ he has a young man who will give Mr. Dundee a good match. Billy says bring him out & I'll embarrass him in the middle of the ring, Mr. Commissioner. Barnett tells Gordon & Jim that the title defense will kick off today's show. And that the first standby match will feature a return match between the Rock n Roll Express going against the NWA World Tag Team Champions Arne Anderson & Tully Blanchard, w/mgr. James J. Dillon. Mr. Dillon came back demanding a rematch last week so he will get it.
Also scheduled to see action today are Kevin Von Erich, Alexa Bliss & the tag team America's Most Wanted.
