CCW Superstar Saturday on SCA, episode 6
The camera pans the Andy Kaufman Studios in Dothan, Alabama, and then comes upon the commentary team of Gorilla Monsoon and the Honky Tonk Man.
GM: Welcome everyone to another installation of Superstar Saturday here on Sports Channel America from Continental Championship Wrestling. We’ve got some big matches planned today, including Strike Force against Badd Company for a Gulf Coast Tag Team Title shot.
HTM: Badd Company has it all over Chico and Ricky. Especially with Rob Fuller guiding Badd Company, Stink Force doesn’t have a chance.
GM: I’m not the only one who noticed last week how Rob Fuller seems to be scared of his brother and CCW co-owner, Ron Fuller.
HTM: Rob’s not a coward. He’s smart. Why piss off his brother when he doesn’t have to? He’s just giving Ron space.
GM: We also have Midnight Express and Sting replying to challenges made to them last week. But, to start us off, we have a pre-taped promo from MUW Men’s Champion, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles about his upcoming bout with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair for the MUW Men’s Title. That will take place Sept. 5 at Flair for the Gold, sponsored by Jolt Cola.
A star wipe takes us to AJ Styles standing in front of a blank background. He’s looking slightly off to the right and we can hear the voice of a segment producer.
AJ: So, who is this one for?
Producer: MUW Men’s Title Match against Ric Flair on Sept. 5 in Continental Champion Wrestling.
AJ: Continental? I’d call that promotion a shithole, but that’s insulting to shitholes. And Flair? He was something back when high button shoes were in style. The only panties he’s making drop now belong to my grandma. The only good thing about this match coming up is the cases of Jolt Cola they sent me.
Styles takes a long drink from a bottle of Jolt Cola, making sure to face the label toward the camera. Producer: Ok, are you ready to cut this promo now?
AJ: Oh…I just did (Styles stares intently into the camera).

“The Man with the Hands of Stone” Ronnie Garvin vs. “The Magnificent” Don Muraco with Col. Robert Fuller
Referee: Aubrey Edwards
They lockup and Muraco overpowers Garvin into the near corner. He breaks, but slaps Garvin. Garvin charges forward and they lockup again. Muraco backs him into the corner and slaps him again. Garvin asks for a test of strength. Muraco pushes him down, but Ronnie starts coming back, so Don kicks him in the gut. Muraco works him over with a variety of slams and power moves. Garvin slips out of a running power slam. A surprised Muraco turns and a strong right hand. Fuller jumps up on the apron. Garvin grabs him by the jackets and teases a punch. Muraco makes the save. Don whips Garvin into the ropes. Ronnie ducks a clothesline, comes off the opposite side with a Superman Punch that stagger Muracho. Gravin finishes with an inverted stunner, aka the Stone Cutter.
Winner: Ronnie Garvin by pinfall
Garvin goes over to the announce position.
GM: Great win by the Man with the Hands of Stone.
RG: Thank you, Gorilla. And I’m told this isn’t the last time I’ll be see the Rock. Ron Fuller has a lot of respect for me and I have a lot of respect for him back. He said I could make this announcement and it’s my honor to let all our great fans know bout the Gulf Coast Six Man Tag Titles to be crowned at Flair for the Gold. I’m privileged to be teamed with the debuting Fantastics and we’ll be in action against the Stud Stable next week. The winner of three preliminary matches will advance to a triple threat at Flair for the Gold and I guarantee the Man with the Hands of Stone and Fantastics will be there.
Garvin walks off and a graphic showing the three preliminary matches comes up.
Powers of Fear (Haku, Barbarian, Warlord) vs. Jim Duggan and Strike Force (Tito Santana and Rick Martel)
Ronnie Garvin and the Fantastics (Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers) vs. Stud Stable (Big Show, Adrian Street and Don Muraco) Hot Stuff Incorporated (Eddie Gilbert, Wrath, Mortis) vs. Missy’s Men (Austin Idol, Jimmy Snuka and Tommy Rich)

“Exotic” Adrian Street with new manager Col. Robert Fuller vs. “Wildfire” Tommy Rich with new manager Missy Hyatt
Referee: Aubrey Edwards
Street is still dressed flamboyantly, but he comes across a little more serious and focused than he has in the past. Rich takes control, but Street pokes him in the eye while Edwards is dealing with Fuller. Street works Rich over. Rich makes a comeback. Fuller jumps on the apron again and Edwards yells at him. Missy comes over and chases Fuller around the ring. This allows Street to kick Rich in the balls and he finishes with a full nelson leg sweep, aka the Street Sweeper.
Winner: Adrian Street by pinfallRobert Fuller with Street goes over to the commentary position. He’s winded from the running, but has a big smile.
RF: The Stud Stable is stronger than ever, Monsoon, I’ll tell you what. And next week, we’ll advance in that six-man tag tournament. There’s no more well balanced team in the whole shooting match than the Stud Stable. You’ve the powerhouse that is Don Muraco, you’ve got the freak of nature in the Big Show and then plain freak that is Adrian Street here.
AS: Paul Burchill might have defeated me at Phoenix Rising. But I’m the one still him, not him. I realize I need to refocus my career and what I’ve done before isn’t going to fly in the new CCW. Robert Fuller and the Stud Stable is just what I need to get ahead here and we will bring those six man tag titles home. Because if you’re talking studs here in CCW, you don’t get more studly than “Exotic” Adrian Street. (Street flexes and we fade)

Sting is out at the commentary table. He’s in street clothes, but with his face paint.
GM: Last week, Sting, Sheamus claimed his newly won Gulf Coast Title. And he challenged you to a rematch from the Southeastern Title Tournament.
Sting: He must not want to hold onto that belt too long, if he’s challenging me and all the little Stingers out there behind me. Whoa! I’ll face Sheamus anytime and anywhere. You know what, why don’t we do it right here and right now.
The fans go wild. Sheamus appears, also in street clothes. He stands on the other side of the desk next to Honky Tonk Man.
Sheamus: I’m not dressed for competition tonight and I’m not prepared and neither are you.
Sting: I’m ready anytime.
Sting takes off his shirt and the crowd goes wild again.
Sheamus: Calm down there, fella. You say anytime, well I’m calling that time Sept. 5. You say anywhere, so why don’t we make anywhere truly anywhere.
Sting looks confused.
Sheamus: Let’s make it pinfalls count anywhere in North America. Because I want to prove something to all the ‘little Stingers’ out there and that’s I can beat you in that ring or anywhere outside it.
Sting: You got it. Whoa! (Sting beats his chest while Sheamus rolls his eyes)

“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert vs. the Ultimate Warrior
Referee: Joey Marella
Ultimate Warrior comes out with a two-liter of Jolt Cola in each hand, pressing them like dumb bells over his head. He gets in the ring and Gilbert is jawing at him. Warrior squeezes the two bottles and they explode, dousing Gilbert. Warrior attacks the blinded and wet Gilbert. He nails Eddie with multiple clotheslines. Gilbert rolls to the floor. Warrior follows, grabs Gilbert by the back of the head, runs him around the ring and slams into the outside ring post. Warrior throws Gilbert back into the ring. Runs the ropes, splashes him and covers. One…two…thr…Kane runs out from the back and enters the ring. Warrior breaks his cover to meet Kane and they brawl until we fade to break.
Winner: Ultimate Warrior by disqualification

The Midnight Express is at the commentary position.
GM: Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, you had matches last week with Randy Savage and Steve Austin, respectively. Those didn’t turn out the way you wanted, did they?
SL: That’s what you think Monsoon. The Midnight Express are on our own for the first time with Jim Cornette guiding us. And one of Jim’s primary jobs was making sure we didn’t fall through the cracks. We lost in the second round of the Southeastern Tag Team Title tournament, we didn’t get in the Gulf Coast Tag Title ladder match. The tag division here in CCW is pretty deep and getting deeper by the minute. We see that the Fantastics are coming in and the Powers of Fear.
BE: The old saying goes, if you want to prove yourself, you find the biggest dog and slap them in the face. And around here, you don’t get much bigger than Savage and Austin. You want the Midnight Express, you got us.

Strike Force vs. Badd Company with Col. Robert Fuller for a CCW Gulf Coast Tag Team Title Shot
Referee: Tommy Young
Santana and Diamond start. Diamond works off a headlock. Santana shoves out and catches Diamond with a shoulder block. Diamond rolls out of the way of an elbow drop. Tito advances, but Paul tags Tanaka. He comes in with a karate stance and blitzes Tito with some kicks and chops. Back elbow off the ropes floor Tito. He rolls out of the way of a knee drop and tags Martel. Martel surprises Tanaka with a kick of his own and goes to work. Pat blocks a suplex and Diamond rushes in for a double suplex. Young yells at him to get out. This allows Tanaka to chop Rick in the throat. He works him over on the mat with a nerve hold. Badd Company uses quick tags to wear down Martel. Rick blocks a sunset flip try by Tanaka and drops a fist on him. Hot tag to Tito. He’s a house of fire with a bunch of flying forearms. However, Diamond hits a superkick out of nowhere into Tanaka who hits the bridged German suplex for the win, aka the Superkick-Plex.
Winners: Badd Company by pinfallGM: Join us next week when we’ll have the three preliminary matches to see who goes on to Flair for the Gold for the Gulf Coat Six Man Tag Team Titles. That will feature the debuts of the Fantastics and the Powers of Fear comprised of Haku, Warlord and Barbarian.
HTM: They’re my pick to win it all Monsoon. They are mean, bad and dangerous to know. Tearing up the competition is exactly what they do.
GM: We know from our main event that Badd Company will be moving onto Flair for the Gold to face the Midnight Rockers for the Gulf Coast Tag Team Titles. And I’m told that next week Marty Jannetty of the Rockers will be facing Pat Tanaka of Badd Company in singles action.
HTM: And switching dance partners from last week, “Macho Man” Randy Savage will be face “Sweet” Stan Lane of the Midnight Express.
GM: Savage of the new team Stone Cold Madness who will be facing the ME at Flair for the Gold.
HTM: Yeah, I’m not calling them that.
GM: Plus, Ric Flair will be here in studio and he’ll be able to confront, live via satellite, AJ Styles. They’ll be colliding at Flair for the Gold for the richest prize in sports, the MUW Men’s Title. Be sure to tune in and we’ll be sure to be here.
