Announcers: Mauro Ranallo, Steve Corino & Tazz
Cue the music! Cue the pyro! A special Christmas Day episode of RoH Wrestling is live on the air!
We start the show off by panning over to the announce booth, where Mauro Ranallo, Steve Corino and Tazz welcome everyone to tonight’s show, before going over a special Christmas Day addition of Ring of Honor Wrestling. Ranallo announces that along with the two scheduled World Heavyweight Championship tournament matches, we’re going to see Mike Bennett defend his RoH Television Championship in a 6-way Christmas Championship Scramble match, and our Main Event of the evening is going to be a 34th Street Fight between Seth Rollins and the returning Bobby Lashley! Tazz bring’s up the constant interference from the two masked men who have seemingly appeared everywhere that Seth Rollins has, and wonder’s what they have in store for him tonight as well before we head straight to the first action of the evening.
Match #1: Singles Match
Pete Dunne vs. Apollo Crews
Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship Tournament: Round #1
An excellent match to start off the night pitting two of Ring of Honor’s bright young stars against each other as Pete Dunne’s Bruiserweight style and Apollo Crew’s fast paced and powerful work made for an incredibly interesting match between the two. Though sloppy at times, these two stars were able to find a way to use their vastly different skill sets to put on a great match that should definitely bode well for bother these superstars in the future. Unfortunately, only one superstar could walk away victorious, and that superstar was Apollo Crews, who manages to put Pete Dunne away after reversing a Bitter End attempt in to The Chariot for the 3 count!
Winner: Apollo Crews by pinfall @ 15:47
{We head backstage to Seth Rollins who is getting ready in his locker room.}
Suddenly, there is a knock at the door as in walks Rollins’ opponent from last week, Ken Kennedy. Rollins greets Kennedy, but Kennedy doesn’t seem happy at all and begins to question Rollins about the interference of the two masked men that clearly cost him the match last week. Kennedy states that Rollins clearly knows what is going on and goes so far as to accuse Rollins of not only knowing the identity of the masked men, but of orchestrating their constant appearances in all of his matches. These accusations cause Rollins to get incredibly upset. Seth swears he has no idea who these men are and is just as tired of seeing them week after week as everyone else, but states he hasn’t been able to do anything about it. Kennedy doesn’t believe a word Rollins is saying and warns him to be careful as Rollins is making a lot of enemies with the way he’s been handling the situation before leaving the locker room as we fade out to our first commercial break of the night.

{We return from commercial to a pre-taped interview from Matt Taven.}
Taven says “The Sytem is Broken”. He accuses Ring of Honor and Eric Bischoff of conspiring against himself and The Kingdom by setting up multiple road blocks that have deferred him for achieving any success in this company. Taven blames Eric Bischoff for allowing Kurt Angle in to the World Heavyweight Championship tournament when he should have been declared the winner by default after the Big Show didn’t show up. Taven states that once again, the rules got to be bent in favour of Kurt Angle last week when he couldn’t find himself a tag team partner. Taven states that Angle came to the ring alone, he had no partner, Keith Lee never should have been allowed to enter that match, but once again the rules get to change to favour Kurt Angle, because “The System is Broken”. Taven says that Ring of Honor given TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia the night off to be with their families for Christmas, but he’s been forced to work on Christmas Day. Taven announces his disdain for being forced to participate in a gimmick match where he’s going to be forced to dress like and elf and wrestle against one of his closest friends in Mike Bennett for a title that he isn’t even interested in. Taven vows to not only take the RoH Television Championship tonight, but vows that in 2020 things are going to change in Ring of Honor, because “The System is Broken” and he’s going to be the one to fix it.
Match #2: 6-Way Christmas Championship Scramble – 10-Minute Time Limit
Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin vs. Drew Gulak vs. Matt Taven vs. Luke Harper vs. Mike Bennett ©
Ring of Honor Television Championship
The rules are explained before the start of the match. The match is 10-minute time limit with multiple pinfalls allowed which will result in the title changing hands. Once the time is up, whoever holds the Television Championship will be named the Champion. As this is Christmas themed, everyone involved in the match are dressed as elves, some more exceptive to the Christmas themed attire than others. The match starts as everyone except Matt Taven turn their attention to Mike Bennett, but Bennett slides out of the ring quickly avoiding his opponents.
CURRENT CHAMPION: MIKE BENNETT
With Bennett on the outside, pandemonium erupts in the middle of the ring with everyone trying to get a pinfall over their opponents. Bennett slowly slides back in to the ring and joins the action as the attention is now off of him. The first pinfall comes after Drew Gulak takes advantage of his opponents all being distracted and rolls up Alex Shelley for a two count!
CURRENT CHAMPION: DREW GULAK
Gulak’s celebration is short lived as he eats a big boot from Luke Harper before being picked back up to his feet and leveled with a Discuss Clothesline for the 3 count!
CURRENT CHAMPION: LUKE HARPER
The action continues to unfold with numerous near falls as the clock continues to countdown, and we are less than two minutes from the time limit. Gulak tries to pin Taven, but it’s broken up by Harper, who tosses Gulak over the top rope before being leveled by Chris Sabin! Sabin tries to jump on Luke Harper, but is intercepted by Matt Taven. Taven and Sabin continue to brawl in the ring, as Taven goes for the Climax, but Sabin counters and hits the Cradle Shock!
Sabin goes to cover Taven as we enter the final 60 seconds of this match, but Alex Shelley tosses Sabin aside and pins Matt Taven for the 3 count!
CURRENT CHAMPION: ALEX SHELLEY
Sabin can’t believe it! He looks up at his longtime friend and tag team partner in disbelief as Shelley apologies to him, reminding him that it’s “strictly business” as the final 20 seconds begin to count down. Sabin gets to his feet and begins to exchange words with Shelley, when Mike Bennett attacks Shelley from behind, knocking him in to Sabin, before rolling him up for the 3 count just before time expires!
Winner & STIIIILLLLLL RoH Television Champion: Mike Bennett by pinfall @ 10:00
{We quickly head backstage to Tom Phillips who is standing backstage with Elias.}
Phillips asks Elias about the attack on Jeff Jarrett two weeks ago, but Elias cuts him off. Elias tells Phillips that from the moment he begin his career he’s been linked to comparisons with Jeff Jarrett and he’s sick and tired of it. He admits that he may have let his elimination in the Battle Royal get the best of him, but being tossed out of the ring by Jeff Jarrett brought back all the feelings of never being able to make his own name and in that moment, he knew that he’d be forever linked to Jarrett in Ring of Honor now as well. Elias then says he had planned on apologising to Jarrett, but after hearing Jarrett call him a second rate version of himself, it struck a nerve. Elias states that he is not and never will be a second rate version of Jeff Jarrett, he says that if anything, he is everything that Jeff Jarrett never was, going so far as to call Jarrett a second rate version of Elias. Phillips asks Elias about Jarrett’s challenge, but is again cut off by Elias who says he wants to make himself very clear to everyone. Elias states that he will no longer be linked to Jeff Jarrett, he wants nothing to do with him, and as far as a match is concerned, the answer is no! Just then, Jarrett comes charging in to view and attacks Elias as Phillips runs off. The two men begin exchanging rights and lefts as they brawl backstage before being split up of multiple backstage personnel.
Match #3: Singles Match
Rob Van Dam vs Eric Young
Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship Tournament: Round #1
Eric Young is out to the ring without the rest of Sanity, and that’s probably not the best idea for this one. RVD is quick out of the gates in this one and controls the majority of the match minus a few offence spots for Eric Young, but otherwise this is a pretty easy victory for RVD who moves on to the next round after a 5-Star Frog Splash for the pin.
Winner: Rob Van Dam by pinfall @11:12
We see the updated tournament bracket following the conclusion of the match. The announcer’s hype next week’s two monster matches as we head in to the final two 1st round matches, Keith Lee vs. Jay Lethal and Bobby Lashley vs. Michael Elgin next week!
We head to the ring where we get a very special Christmas Day appearance by the man in red himself, Santa!
Santa is out in the ring to a thunderous ovation from the crowd, but the cheers quickly turn to boos after Santa begins to insult the city of Toronto and the fans in the arena. Santa continue to voice his displeasure with being stuck in Toronto on Christmas night, when suddenly….
Keith Lee’s music plays as he makes his way down to the ring, much to the joy of the crowd who have already had enough of Santa tonight. Lee gets in to the ring to greet Santa, but the man in red is having nothing to do with him. Santa beings to pick apart Keith Lee, even going so far as to call him fat, which Lee responds back by laying out Santa with a Spirit Bomb!
Lee leaves the ring while the fans chant his name, but Santa slowly gets to his feet and he’s not too happy. Enraged, Santa begins to hurl insults at Keith Lee and the city of Toronto once more, claiming he’ll never come back to Ontario as long as he lives, and that Ring of Honor and Canada can “kiss his jolly red ass!”
Just then, the lights go out and the music of Abyss begins to play! The crowd roars again, seeing the Monster Abyss for the first time! Abyss steps in to the ring and immediately grabs Santa before he can even speak, taking him down with a Black Hole Slam!
Abyss leaves the ring as we fade to our final commercial break of the night.

Match #4: Main Event – 34th Street Fight
Bobby Lashley vs. Seth Rollins
Anything goes in this street fight between two of Ring of Honor’s biggest stars, and it was a match that definitely lived up to it’s billing. These two stars left everything in the ring tonight, brawling all over the ringside area and even up at the top of the ramp as both men tried to put the other away. The weapons used were all Christmas themed or at least wrapped in gift wrap which added a little extra excitement for the crowd to see Seth Rollins have to unwrap a chair before using it on Lashley, or seeing Lashley abuse the back of Seth Rollins with a candy cane striped kendo stick. The announcer’s continued to question the constant appearances of the two masked men and wondered when they were going to make an appearance in this match, but they never did. The finish comes after Seth Rollins landed a Revolution Knee and went for the Stomp, but Lashley rolled away at the last second causing Rollins to seemingly roll his ankle. As Rollins slowly got back up to his feet in some serious pain from his ankle, Rollins turn around in to a Spear from Lashley who covers him for the win!
Winner: Bobby Lashley by pinfall @22:34
Lashley celebrates in the ring after his match, but stops suddenly to begin attacking Rollins as he tries to get back up to his feet! Lashley tosses Rollins to the outside and sends him crashing in to the barricade, before stopping to rip off the protective mats from the floor just like he did with Big Show! Lashley sets Rollins up for a Dominator on the exposed concrete, but before he can, the two masks men come running down to the ring with steel chairs in hand, causing Lashley to retreat. The two men help Rollins up to his feet, but once Rollins comes to, he’s not happy to see them men who just came to his rescue. Rollins pushes passed the both of them, and begins limping up the ramp by himself as the announcers are left questioning what the motive is for these two men continuing to help Seth Rollins. We slowly fade to a close as we wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
