NWA announcers Gordon Solie & Joey Styles are dressed in holiday colors while ring announcer Mike McGuirk is dressed like a blonde Pochohontus in the ring. They quickly announce that all the advertised matches are scheduled to go tonight.
1. 6 Woman Tag Team Match. The Beautiful People (Angelina Love, Madisyn Rayne & Velvet Sky) beat US Women's Champ Taryn Terrell, Cherry Bomb & Mia Yim when Sky pinned Terrell. (14:38). The experience of the Beautiful People gave them the advantage. No surprise that rivals Terrell & Sky went at it right off the bat. The other four girls were fighting outside the ring when Velvet used a foreign object on Taryn for the win.
2. Single Match. Chief Wahoo McDaniel beat Lars Anderson with a chop to the chest. (9:22). No strangers to each other from their Mid-Atlantic days. Wahoo didn't take any crap off of Lars who was out of the ring as much as he was in the ring before McDaniel nailed him hard for the 1-2-3.
3. Single Match. Fritz Von Erich beat Dick Murdoch with the Iron Claw in a rough one. (11:42). With the referee down, Fritz posted Dick to open a gash on his forehead. After a few seconds of the Claw, Murdoch submitted. The hated Von Erich jumped Murdoch at the start of the bell & never let up on him.
4. Anything Goes Women's Match. Pin fall anywhere in building. Women's Worlds' Champ Mschif pinned Su Yung. (8:13). Yung took her time heading to the ring & Mschif was not in a waiting mood. The black-green gothic goddess lit out for the undead princess & the fight was on ringside & around the arena floor. Both women tried spraying their mist on the other but it was Mschif who nailed Yung on the arena floor with a tombstone piledriver for the victory.
5. NWA United States Tag Team Title Match. (Champs:): The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) lost titles to (Challs): The Assassins (Tom Renesto & Jody Hamilton) in a see saw match early on. (12:58). Back to back double dropkicks from the champs set up the Assassin 1# for the attempted pin. Assassin 2# pulled an illegal switch with Assassin 1# to surprise Fulton for the 1-2-3. It was a problem for the referee as well as the champs as the challengers looked identical in size. The Assassins took full advantage of that.
6. NWA World's Junior Heavyweight Title Match. (Champ): Danny Hodge sleepered (Chall): US Jr. H Champ 'Superstar' Bill Dundee retain the title. (18:11). The challenger was stunned as the champion took to offense first & kept the challenger off of his game. Dundee came close using a small chain to slow Hodge down but once the sleeper was on, it was all over for the Superstar in the center of the ring.
7. NWA United States Heavyweight Title Match. (Champ): Stan 'Lariat' Hansen retained the title over (Chall): 'Cowboy' Bill Watts(16:02).on a referee's decision. Before the match officially began, Fritz Von Erich came out to challenge the winner & attacked Watts when his back ws turned & posted him outside of the ring. Fritz got a surprise when McDaniel ran up behind him & nailed him with some chops that sent him back to the dressing room before the bell rang to start the match. The match was stiff with the champ trying to get some quick pins on the bleeding challenger. The challenger hung in there nearly getting a few pins on the champion. But Watts got weaker as the match went on. Commissioner Jim Barnett came down with a medical crew to check Bill out. The medical team's opinion was Watts could not continue. Bill protested but Barnett instructed the referee to stop the match. After a brief stare down, Watts shook hands with the champion before being helped back to the dressing room.
6. Ordered NWA World's Tag Team Title Match. (Champs): The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Gene & Ole Andersons) w/Lars Anderson dropped the belts to. (Challs): The Kentuckians ('Grizzly' Smith & 'Big' Luke Brown) w/second Wahoo McDaniel. (21:45). 'Grizzly' caught Lars in the bearhug & he submitted for the loss after a few seconds. Wahoo had chased him from outside of the ring into the ring, causing confusion with the ref running Ole out. Gene & Ole argued with the ref while Smith caught Lars in the bear hug. Brown & McDaniel pulled Gene & Ole out of the ring while 'Grizzly' got the win & won the titles for the Kentuckians. Wahoo joined the happy champs on their way back to the dressing room.
However, inside the ring, Ole exploded & attack Lars who was still lying on the mat. Finally Gene joined him & they bloodied Lars. When help arrived, Ole got on the microphone & said, 'Lars has been kicked out of the Anderson family-- for good!' Unlike previous matches between the two teams, the Kentuckians did not get trapped in the Anderson's corner. The challengers kept the action in the middle of the ring or near their corner. Lars tried several times to get to Wahoo but was told by Gene & Ole to stay in their corner when they need him. He didn't listen.
9. No DQ rule waived.Non-Title Challenge Match. If Vader beats Brody, he gets a title match on the Christmas PPY. If he loses, Vader will not get a title match with the World's Heavyweight Chapion.Big Van Vader w/mgr. Rock Hunter won by CO over NWA World's Heavyweight Champ 'Bruiser' Brody wmgr. Gary Hart. (16:15). After a jawing match between Hart & Hunter, the match kicked off with Broday nailing Vader in the back of the head with the chain he brings to the ring. However Vader pulled the chain away from Brody, clubbed the champ upside the head & threw it to Hunter. From then on, it was stiff punches from th challenger & kicks by the champion. The action spilled out of the ring several times, including the use of chairs ringside. Vader tried several pins but Brody managed to squirm to the outside of the ring. Seconds back in the ring, Vader hit Brody with a running clothesline sending him over the top rope to the arena floor. Hart restrained Brody who took the count out loss. Vader now has his match at the December Pay-Per-View 'A Crimson Christmas' on Sunday, Dec. 22 live from the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.
