Prestige Pro Wrestling
LIVE from
Hamilton, New Zealand's Claudelands Arena
The show opens with General Manager Steve Corino entering the ring to cheers from the crowd.
Steve says that tonight we will feature eight singles matches, with the winners of each match being entered into a four-way dance at "Era of Excellence" in Auckland! Those four-way dances will be to determine who faces the MUW World champions in Los Angeles, California, as we head into our next major event, "Scorched Earth"! He says we will see debuts and new comers getting opportunities tonight, as PPW remains the land of opportunity in professional wrestling!
Bea Priestley vs. Kay Lee Ray
Priestley was making her debut here, and really impressed this crowd, as these two had great chemistry, but the fans were behind KLR, and she didn't disappoint. KLR would deliver a manage to avoid a Double Curb Stomp from Priestley, catching her with an Arm Twist Kick, followed by a Gory Bomb, smashing Bea's face into the mat and keeping her down for the three count!
Apollo Crews vs. Mike Bennett w/ Maria Kanellis
Apollo Crews managed to overcome the returning Mike Bennett and his wife Maria Kannelis, catching Bennett with the Crews Control after backfired interference from Kannelis to get the pinfall.
Ember Moon vs. Killer Kelly
The debuting Ember Moon would overcome the hard hitting Killer Kelly, delivering her impressive Eclipse finisher to get the pinfall.
Kalisto vs. "The Ring General" WALTER w/ Stokely Hathaway
Kalisto would do a good job of invoking the spirit of his idol, Rey Misterio Jr., in this match, trying to slay a giant here, but Stokely Hathaway would distract Kalisto on the apron as he looked to fly onto WALTER near the end of the match, allowing WALTER to grab him off the top and deliver a BRUTAL Steiner Screwdriver to get the pinfall!
Dakota Kai vs. Rhea Ripley
The Kiwi gets the win here in her native land over the bigger Ripley, after Kai catches the Brit with the Kairopractor to get the pinfall!
"The Flamboyant" Juice Robinson vs. "Prince Pretty" Tyler Breeze
This was a fantastic match that could have went either way, with Breeze actually using a version of Juice's own finisher, The Unprettier, to try to put him away, but to no avail! Likewise, Juice would hit his version of the move, Pulp Friction, but Breeze would get his foot on the ropes to break the count! Breeze would land a Supermodel Kick later in the match and try for the move again, but Juice would break free, deliver a palm strike, followed by a Crescent Kick, before hitting The Juice Box to crush Breeze's ribs and his chances of victory, getting "The Flamboyant One" the pinfall!
"The Alpha Female" Jazzy Gabert vs. Santana Garrett
The debuting Garrett would use her quick offense to give "The Alpha Female" all she could handle, but Gabert would end the match abruptly, showing her scary stopping power, tilt-to-whirling Garett up and then smashing her with a Dominator to get the pinfall.
"Die Hard" Eddie Edwards vs. "Super King of Bros" Matt Riddle
This match would get a little out of hand, as Edwards would manage to get Riddle to the outside and try to use his hardcore antics to put a stop to the impressive debuting Riddle. Riddle had huge fanfare in this match, and showed his bevy of skills, but Edwards was a good dance partner for him and gave him a great fight. Riddle would manage to deliver a Bicycle Knee Strike into a chair to an oncoming Edwards, following up with a Bromission, but after well over a minute in the hold, Edwards wouldn't tap! Riddle would let go and deliver hammer fists and elbows to the side of Edwards head, before lifting Edwards and delivering a Bro to Sleep, and that was it. Edwards was out for the three count, as Riddle wins by pinfall.
