Joey & Eden welcome Les to the NWA team as they run down tonight's matches. Stiles is heading to the ring to do the introductions. The announcers really hype the NWA World's Heavyweight Title Match between champion 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin & challenger 'Magnum' TA (Terry Allen).
First Match. Ladies Single Match.
'Queen of Suplexes' Nicole Savoy defeated Cherry Bomb with the Savolock with 5 seconds left in the 15-minute time limit. (14:55). Savoy actually kept Bomb on the mat most of the match. Cherry missed a best super kick ever allowing the Queen of Suplexs to hit several in a row before locking in the Savolock.
Second Match. Single Challenge Match. Requested by Bob Roop.
Kenta Kobashi w/mgr. Rock Hunter over Bob Roop with burning hammer for the 1-2-3. (8:47). Both men stuck to wrestling the first few minutes before Kobashi got rough. However, Roop knows how to play rough as well. Hunter got involved, tripping Bob as he tried to hit his shoulder breaker on the Asian star. Kobashi took quick advantage.
Third Match. Four Man Tag Team Match. Losing team must leave NWA for a year.
The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) defeated 'Original' Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Randy Rose). (13:03). Despite the double-teaming by the Express, the Fantastics hung with their rivals until a double drop kick by the fan favorites sent Condroy (who was illegally in the ring) to the ring floor. Fulton hit Rose for a flying body press for the victory
.
Fourth Match. Challenge Match. Requested by Dick Murdoch! No Disqualification.
Mitsuharu Misawa w/mgr. Rock Hunter beat a bloodied Dick Murdoch with the Tiger Driver 91. (7:33). Murdoch attacked Misawa before the bell & got a few shots in on Hunter as the bell rang. The Asian star retaliated to the Texan's punches & kicks with chops to the head, chest & legs. When Dick went for his pile driver, Hunter ran in & hit him with a foreign object. Mitsuharu then hit the Tiger Driver 91 & that was all she wrote for Murdoch.
Fifth Match. NWA Women's World's Championship Match.
(Champ): Gail Kim beat (Chall): Kairi Hojo with the Christo.(16:23). The match started out slow as both wrestlers felt each other out. Then the pace really picked up as both competitors used them speed to try for a quick pin. The challenger hit the champion with the running neckbreaker before using the Insane Elbow to nail her. But Kim was close to the ropes & managed to force Hojo's pin to break. Seconds later, Kim used a hurricana to set up the Christo to get the submission for Hojo. Both competitors shook hands after the match & got a huge applause from the fans.
Sixth Match. NWA World's Brass Knuckles Championship Match.
(Champ): Ron Simmons ko'd (Chall): Cyclone Negro. (8:11). A rough, brutal match. The challenger came out fast & strong but found out the champion was a little bit stronger. Negro nailed the champ, sending him to the match for an 8 count when Simmons got serious & went to put away the challenger. Simmons knocked Negro down three times before the challenger could not answer the 10 count.
Seventh Match. Return NWA World's Heavyweight Championship Match. A man can win the match by submission or render his opponent unable to answer the bell. Pin falls, disqualifications & count outs will not be accepted.
(Chall): 'Magnum' Terry Allen defeated (Champ): 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin for the title when official Tommy Young ruled the champion was unconscious & unable to continue. (19:36). The match was physical from start to finiah. The champion tried several times to hit the challenger with his Stunner as TA tried to nail Austin with the belly to belly suplex. They battled inside & outside of the ring with punches & kicks as the advantage went back & fourth.
Magnum collided with the official & both went down. Austin tried to take advantage by removing the padding on one of the top turnbuckles, exposing the metal. The Rattlesnake tried to smash Magnum's head into the turnbuckle only to have the challenger reverse & nailed him. Austin went down like a sack of potatoes as TA revived the referee. Young could not get any reaction from a bloody Stone Cold & held up his arm 1-2-3. According to the stipulations, Magnum TA was the winner & new NWA World's Heavyweight Champion. The place exploded as the fans gave the new champion a standing ovation.
Following the match, Young called down ring personal & a medical team to revive a bleeding Austin. Stone Cold had to be helped back to the dressing room.
Eighth Match. Steel Cage Match. Handicap 3 vs. 4 Team Match. (Manager Gary Hart must wrestle.) The hated Hart said on the microphone before entering the cage they would unmask Dr. Scarlett to prove it was 'Cowboy' Bill Watts. Gary said the NWA told him if it was Watts under the mask in the cage match, he would be barred in the NWA for a year. Hart promised to get rid of that fat Watts tonight.
The Masked Dr. Scarlett, Jack Brisco & Danny Hodge defeated NWA World's Tag Team Champs Dangerous Duo (Dick Slater & Bob Orton Jr.) & NWA World's Junior Heavyweight Champ 'Gentleman' Chris Adams w/mgr. 'Playboy' Gary Hart.(13:51). The faces started off strong as the heels took an early beating while Hart tried to avoid any contact, staying behind one of his men. When Brisco got powder thrown in his eyes by Slater & Hodge got roughed up by Adams foreign object, the Playboy led the charge to unmask Dr. Scarlett. It was a 4 on 1 beating with Dr. Scarlett trying to hang on to his mask. When they almost had it off , a familiar voice was head ringside on the microphone, 'Cowboy' Bill Watts!. He told Hart it wasn't him under the mask. He told a frightened manager he had been cleared that very day to wrestle again.
When the cage was opened, Watts hit the ring & jumped on Hart. Brisco, Hodge & Dr. Scarlett took control of Slater, Orton Jr, & Adams while the Cowboy busted up the Playboy to take the pin & the win for the team. Joining them after the match was Jerry Brisco who appears to be healed up. Dr. Scarlett volunteered to unmask to reveal himself to be 'Cowboy' Ron Bass who high fived his teammates. While this is going on, Hart & his army slowly left the cage & limped back to the dressing room.
Back at the desk, Joey, Les & Eden discuss what just happened & run down the results of the other matches before signing off. They thank the fans for tuning in & will see them next Saturday on NWA Championship Wrestling on ESPN.
