At house show action tonight in Florida, Dusty Rhodes and Jack Brisco wrestled the second match in their best-of-five series, and it ended in a double-countout after over 20 minutes of tense action. With only three matches left, the "American Dream" will have to take at least one of the next three matches just to tie the series.
Also, Kerry Von Erich and Billy Jack Haynes used their rematch clause to take on the CWF Florida Tag-Team champions, the Devil's Advocates. However, they came up short when O'Haire pinned Von Erich, who - by several accounts - seemed distracted throughout the contest.

After the incident in the World Tag Title Match at WCW Clash of Champions 3- Tampa Thunder and the grievance filed by Mr. Heenan to the MLW Board of Directors, Mr. Nitro will be meeting with the same board this Monday morning about the incident. He will inform everyone about the meeting this Friday on WCW Worldwide.

CWF action didn't stop over the weekend, even with the largest dispersal of talent in MUW history, and there was an interesting development at an otherwise normal (but still exciting!) house show last night. Terry and Dory Funk defeated the Stronghold, and after the match ended, Larry Cameron and Uhaa Nation got into a shoving match. Their manager, Oliver Humperdink, seemed to calm things down, though he obviously sided with Cameron. As they walked the aisle back to the dressing room, Nation was "pounced" by Monty Brown, who rocketed through the curtain, never seen by the native of Stone Mountain. Brown and Cameron went nose-to-nose for a few tense seconds after the sneak-attack - and then both men kicked and stomped at Nation while he was down, and then they, along with Humperdink, left him laying on the floor.

Paul Heyman has officially taken the reins of IPW, and this has caused a huge shake up in the fledgling company. Among the biggest changes was the obvious removal of Dan Severn and his "divisive influence," as Heyman put it, as well as current Heavyweight champion Misawa deciding to vacate the title and return to Japan. Many talents have also decided to leave, and most storylines have now been scratched.
Heyman has said they are going to right the ship with a full scale reset. He says he that the company will no longer be run like a fringe "indie" promotion, but will now stand amongst the biggest and the best the MUW Universe has to offer. He also stated that with that very goal in mind, they will now be shopping the product to all major television companies, and that lead to his next announcement.
November 1, 2020, IPW will return home to Philadelphia, where they will present their first show of the new era, "Rise to Power", live on Pay-Per-View and streaming! And the main event will be... for now vacant IPW Heavyweight championship... former MUW World Champions, and two men who personally and professionally dislike each other:
"The Best in the World" CM PUNK VERSUS "The Wrestling Messiah" SETH ROLLINS!
More news to come on this huge event.

CCW News and Notes[/u]
Robert Fuller takes backstage role
As Continental Championship Wrestling continues to grow it was decided to give Robert Fuller, brother of owner/promoter Ron Fuller, a full-time backstage role. He will be taken off television as a manager and events at Maximum Carnage were done to facilitate the move.
Badd Company fired Fuller and his other two clients suffered kayfabe injuries in the Wild Card Battle Royal. It was announced after the show that Adrian Street with a fractured jaw and Don Muraco with a detached retina and bruised orbital bone would be out indefinitely.
Rumors are that Robert might be used as a road agent running house shows for CCW as they explore the option of running an ‘A’ and ‘B’ show schedule based on their dearth of new talent.
HSI dismantled
Eddie Gilbert allegedly asked for a direction change following his loss in the cage match to Austin Idol. While Gilbert was happy to do the job and setup the marriage angle for Idol and his ex-wife, Missy Hyatt, he apparently didn’t like Hot Stuff Incorporated being a “house of horrors” stable.
Chris Kanyon who was playing Mortis and Doug Gilbert, Eddie’s brother, who was playing Wrath have been let go by the company. It’s unknown what will be done with Kane. It’s possible that Eddie could retain Kane as his bodyguard. It’s also been talked about giving Kane to Andy Kaufman or Woman.
However, Eddie seems intent on being a solo act for the time being. There have been talks of turning him face and moving him into a feud with Sheamus for the Gulf Cost Title. With the new stables being formed by CCW, loss of HSI was not seen as a big deal.
Rogers, Vegas traded
A statement from Andy Kaufman following Maximum Carnage stated that he had fired Big Bubba Rogers and Big Daddy Cool Diesel, formerly Vinnie Vegas. Kaufman said he could no longer tolerate failure from Rogers in the feud with Sting. While he did not appreciate Diesel circumventing his firing as Vegas. Kaufman has stated that Kevin Nash under any name has been banned forever, plus 20 years, from CCW.
In reality, Rogers and Diesel were traded to IPW as part of a major shakeup by new promoter Paul Heyman. In exchange, CCW has received Davey Boy Smith, Chris Candido and Curt Hennig.
The WarGames Gauntlet match scheduled for Halloween night was supposedly thrown together after it was seen how the three new men would fit into CCW and help to create or strengthen existing stables. CCW went into the recent MUW dispersal draft with an eye at acquiring talent that would lead to the stable idea. It’s rumored that CCW could have as many as eight active stables.
After the draft, CCW made three additional free agent hires. Tammy Lynn Sytch, who has long been affiliated with Candido, and Kamille, who has lately been affiliated with draft selection Nick Aldis. Kerry Von Erich is also rumored to be part of a forming stable.

This Week in the NWA
Biggest news is the reunion of the Freebirds -- Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy & Buddy Roberts are back together. Hayes buddy Jimmy Garvin & his valet Precious came over to the NWA with Hayes but it was decided that Garvin would not be part of the original three. Garvin & Precious decided to leave the NWA on good terms. New NWA United States Heavyweight Champion Ted Dibiase Sr. has a host of challengers lining up including ex-champ Greg ;the Hammer' Valentine who wants the belt back at any cost. James J. Dillon, head of Dillon Dynasty, expects him to bring the belt back to the fold.
Some huge names have come int othe NWA recently including Nikita Koloff & the Heavenly Bodies (Dr. Tom Pritchard & Jimmy Del Ray). Both are definite impact makers right off the bat.
The huge MSD Draft brought some more big names to the NWA. Bill Goldberg, Jon Moxley, & Cody Rhodes are top talents. Manager James E. Cornette is here & expected to join back up with the Heavenly Bodies. Speaking of tag teams, America's Most Wanted (James Storm & Chris Harris) make their debut in the NWA. And some of the biggest names in women's wrestling hvve signed including MSD World's Champion Asuka, multiple champion A.J. Lee and Alexa Bliss. Things are expected to really heat up in the NWA with the influx of talent.

Breaking news from CWF! Bobby Heenan is furious that Kerry Von Erich signed with CCW, rather than going home to Dallas. With the "Modern Day Warrior" out of his control, Heenan decided to take it out on his brother - so he fired David Von Erich tonight, midway through a six-man match with he, Richie Steamboat, and Ted DiBiase, Jr. against Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, and Justin Gabriel!

CM Punk has posted a video to social media to address the recently announced main event of the upcoming IPW PPV, "Rise to Power". The video begins with a montages of Punk training a gym, alongside his best friend and sparring partner Chris Hero, who can be seen running drills with Punk and holding pads for him to execute strikes upon.
We then get a shot of Punk in the locker room with a towel over his neck, clearly sweating and a bit winded from a recently finished work out.
"November 1st, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, CM Punk and Seth Rollins for the IPW Heavyweight championship. That's all I can think about. As well it should be, because November 1st is the night 'The Best in the World' begins his campaign to reclaim the top title in the World, and that's the MUW World Championship.
"And I am happy to be here, make no mistake about it. I feel invigorated, I feel vital, I feel ready for action... I feel like destroying something, and Seth Rollins, you are that something I am aiming to destroy.
"Seth, let's face it, you've been living in my shadow ever since you reared your long necked ugly head into this business, and your jealousy is just embarrassing. You try to look superior by throwing shade at me, keeping my name in your mouth and on your Twitter, and it's just pathetic. You've got talent in that ring, but you are a terrible, sad little man, and on November 1st, you're going to realize how inadequate you really are.
"You're punching up at the real champ here, Seth. You had your little run, and it was fine, but mine was marked with greatness and it eats you up inside knowing that I'm just so much better than you, and always will be. You're nothing but a second banana to greater men, an also ran, and a truly unlikable person, and I am going to enjoy shutting you up and putting you to sleep in Philadelphia.
"You see, you might be talented, and you might even be one of the best in the business, but I am better than you, Seth. You see, Seth, I am the 'Best in the World', and at 'Rise to Power' in front of that Philly crowd and in front of the world on Pay-Per-View... I am going to prove it."
And with that, the promo comes to an end.

A video has been posted by Seth Rollins to IPW's social media accounts. The video is black and white, and shot inside of a church. We see Rollins, wearing dark glasses, a brimmed hat and brandishing a cain, pacing upon the altar.
Seth Rollins: "For the few of who may not know, my name is Seth Rollins. And you, the wrestling fans, are my children. I am proudly, humbly, and vigilantly your 'Wrestling Messiah,' and today I stand before you ready to address a charlatan known as CM Punk.
"Punk, you arrogant fool. You are not the answer, but instead a cancer on this great sport. You are a selfish, indignant ingratitude, and you have no business in the ring with a true pioneer... a true visionary... like Seth Rollins. No, you belong in the past, a footnote in history, while I have been sent to rewrite the book.
"Punk, I will admit, there was a time when I was young and naive that I thought you were a great man; someone to be admired. I looked at you and saw a role model. But when I met you, what I found was a shallow, empty husk, no deeper than the skin stretched over your bones, with the demeanor of a snake. You would step on the backs of your own lifelong friends if you thought it would get you further in life, and if you were going down, you would take anyone and everyone down with you.
"And truth be told, I did learn a lot from that. I too am a survivor, and I too feel at home in the snake pit, but I am not going stab anyone in the back, Punk, not like you. I am not going to be coward and hide my true self, for the sake of an image I can sell more easily.
"No, Punk, it is a lot more satisfying to stab someone in the heart than in the back, to spit in the face of those might judge than appease them, and that's who I am. I don't need you to believe on your own, because I will make you believe through my will. I will make this world full of believers. And I will show the world how to kill a snake like you, removing your head and the air of your greatness in one fell swoop as I ascend back upon my throne as the true 'Best in the World'...
"Punk, while you claim you're going to 'put me to sleep' I assume with your little knee strike, Punk, I promise, on November 1st, I teach you what your knees are for, as you learn to bow to me.
"And that is the gospel according to your Lord and savior."
Rollins raises his cain and makes a motion to end the feed.

A video was posted to IPW's social media today by Paul Heyman, addressing the official match line-up for "Rise to Power" on November 1st in Philadelphia.
Pauk Heyman: "Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman, newly anointed Czar of IPW.
"In the short time period this company has been operating, it has seen some ups and certainly some downs. One person comes in with a set of ideas... and then another comes in and tries to change all of that. And, quite frankly, the understanding of this business and execution of these ideas have all been very poor thus far, but I am here to change that. We now have a vision that is sustainable, goals that are attainable, and a roster of passionate and driven individuals to help take the oars and row our ship right as we navigate these dabgerous waters in even more uncertain times.
"You see, it wasn't long ago that this territory, the territory we in IPW currently promote, was the greatest in history. Whether you want to look at the dominance of the McMahon Empire, or the historic run that MSD had with BCCW, or even my own humble achievements with a little group known as ECW, the Northeast was a proud and prominent territory in professional wrestling. Simply put, we were the best. We had the best wrestlers, shows, fans, you name it, but as time has gone on, in the last couple of years, all of that has changed.
"Now, we see all of this talent flocking to the South. We see the South getting all of this recognition. We see the World Championship being promoted out of California... California! No, no, this will not do. Not at all. And that is why we secured top contracts and stars of the highest caliber, because we knew we had to bring this territory back to prominence. We weren't going to do that trying to just be some kind of MMA/wrestling hybrid, and we weren't going to do that promoting the same kind of crap they put out down there week in and week out.
"No, what we had was something fundamentally intelligent but fatally flawed in execution. Sports based wrestling is what the people crave, but they also want something new and fresh and distinctly entertaining... distinctly professional wrestling, and we will certainly give them that. And we will also give the people something radically different than what you can find with the Fullers or Heenans or, uhm, Mr. Nitros of the world. We will be a forward thinking promotion for the people, that much I can solemnly swear.
"And now it is my pleasure to present to you the first official card for the first official world wide Pay-Per-View broadcast of International Pro Wrestling, "Rise to Power", live on November 1st from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and if i were you, I would not want to miss this historic night!
"I thank you all, and to all, be well."
"RISE TO POWER" Official Card:
The Urban Legends: Eddie Kingston & Homicide w/ Low Ki vs. #Influencers: Kenny Omega & Tyler Breeze
Cedric Alexander vs. Maxwell Jacob Friedman
The Southern Death Squad: "Hangman" Adam Page & Cameron Grimes vs. Wild'N'Crazy: "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards & "World Class Maniac" Eric Young
